Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2581 Refusal To Back Down

”Where do you think youʼre going? Hand over the treasure right now.”

Seylin Blizzara demanded with a smirk on her face. An icy whip manifested from her finger and held Natalya in place, disallowing her to leave. Her ice phoenix flames were also burning midway on the whip, threatening to burn her for real than the burning sensation of the Mercurial Metal Ice Pearl Root.

”Natalya!”

Tanya abruptly appeared before Natalya and reached out her hand, causing the latter to instantly throw the treasure to her. A mild amount of relief instantly graced Natalya as the treasure left her vicinity, allowing her to have a breather.

But Tanya was now encumbered with the treasure. For some reason, she found that she was unable to take it into her spatial ring but instantly recognized it because it was still connected with the Mercurial Metal Ice Pearl floating in the middle of the lake.

If she could not acquire both, then it would perhaps prove impossible to store them in a spatial ring.

”That wonʼt do~”

Seylin Blizzara still smiled. She waved her hand as her fingers danced as a few more whips lashed out, heading towards Tanya. But at this moment, she abruptly turned her body and enclosed her wings upon herself.

*Bang!~*

A huge gush of ice energy hit her body, sending her flying a few steps back before she quickly regained balance. Her eyes enclosed sharply at the interceptor, recognizing that it was none other than Silver Rain Ice Spirit.

”Are you mad? Why are you attacking me when the treasureʼs not with me?”

Scoffed Seylin Blizzara at Kayla. Despite the pale countenance, Kayla still appeared indifferent as she voiced out.

”I made a deal with Tanya, you see...”

Seylin Blizzara frowned before she suddenly realized that she couldnʼt sense her peopleʼs undulations. She turned to look and saw her people who were suppressing Tanya had fainted. Although they didnʼt become ice statues, they were covered in silver frost.

Even Yeyin appeared the same, heaving for breath as she tried to keep the Silver Rain Ice Spiritʼs chillness from invading her body.

”Hmph!~”

Just as she harrumphed and intended to chase Tanya while ignoring Kayla, she narrowed her eyes at where Tanya had escaped to.

She stood before a purple-robed man, handing him over the pearl root.

”Itʼs ours now.”

Tanya heaved a sigh as she let go of the freezing root. She experienced what Natalya experienced when she threw the treasure at her, which was one of relief. Clearly, the treasure was difficult for them to handle. Even spirits could only somewhat defend against its attacks as long as their spirit bodies could endure.

Since their cultivations were lower and their prowess was not up to par, they couldnʼt last more than a few seconds in the vicinity of this treasure. Learning of this, she couldnʼt help but turn to look at Natalya in admiration as it was unknown how much of the burning coldness she endured with her yin energy.

”Excellent work, Tanya.”

Davis was immensely pleased as he took the treasure from Tanyaʼs hands. Although it was clear that these powerful disciples didnʼt dare to touch them because of him, it was also not easy to take this treasure right from their maws.

Without the four of them working together, he felt that this wouldnʼt have been possible. While Iesha and Pia were surprisingly dramatic, Natalya had sneakily taken the treasure in that stalled time and replaced it with a fake using her yin energy. Even though it brought only a bit of time, she managed to race through the lake and break through the surface, successfully bringing it out.

On the other hand, Tanya, being barraged on all sides, was smart and made a transaction with the injured Silver Rain Ice Spirit. Together, they destroyed the opposition, and as soon as Natalya appeared outside, she appeared before her with the strand of energy they connected, collecting the treasure before smoothly bringing it to her.

He couldnʼt believe they had such coordination for working for the first time, but that just spoke volumes about the trust they held with them and their spirit counterparts. Even their Prismatic Intramural Soul-Spirit Pact was at Level Three, except for Tanya and Pia, who reported that they had reached Level Two in it but also directly translated to a significant amount of trust as he and Eldia were still at the same level.

He had known what happened through his link with Nadia, so he was rather suppressing his laughter, but now, he was suppressing his anger as he had witnessed Seylin Blizzara harm his Natalya.

”Thatʼs enough. We claimed the treasure, so let my Natalya go.”

”Really?” Seylin Blizzara appeared beside Natalya, ”You think you can take me lightly just because I donʼt want to offend you? At this point, youʼre really forcing me to make a move.”

”Oh really?” Davis raised his brows as he unamusedly repeated her words, ”I didnʼt make a move and didnʼt help my women from the onslaught of other disciples, so when they actually did something like taking the treasure right under your noses and bringing it to me, I think they have already declared it theirs rightfully.”

”If you want to make a move now, I will also be forced to make a move. Itʼs your choice.”𝑓𝑟e𝒆𝘄e𝗯𝒏𝙤v𝒆l.𝒄o𝑚

”Ridiculous!” Seylin Blizzara clenched her teeth, ”All they relied on was deceit and not martial prowess. If it were not for Kayla interfering at the last moment, I wouldʼve caught them.”

”Did you really expect them to pitch their lower cultivation bases with your higher cultivation bases?”

”Thatʼs called being smart? If I and the others didnʼt hold back on your account, they really would be harmed. Seems like I gave you too much face.”

Seylin Blizzara waved her hand, and the whip lashed out. However, instead of constricting Natalya more, they left her and slashed toward Davis. Those icy strings seemed extremely sharp, like a blade forged and refined a thousand times. They appeared as mighty as a sword cultivatorʼs slash and gave off a space-chilling coldness as they turned into a screeching ice phoenix.

”I agree.” Davis reached out his hand towards the ice phoenix, ”Thatʼs why Iʼll take you down using the utmost respect possible without holding back...”

Abruptly, a wave of pitch-black energy encompassed the ice phoenix and caused it to be instantly extinguished like water snuffing out fire. At the same time, they spread out and encircled his foe into a sphere.

*Badump!~* *Badump!~*

Seylin Blizzaraʼs heart fell. She suddenly felt as though she had fallen into a sea of nothingness, unable to sense anything than her pounding heart!
