New Age Of Summoners

There was no one in the direction where the attack had come from; however, everyone could guess what was the one that stopped the attack and saved Geron.

”Your majesty,”

As soon as they realized who it was, all three old men bowed down in the direction of the old cave and greeted the being inside the cave.

”What’s with all the commotion in front of my abode?”

An extremely annoyed and loud voice came from the old cave that made all three spirit beasts kings in the human form shivered at those words.

”Sorry for disturbing your sleep, your majesty,”

Among the three spirit beast kings, the old man with bald head was very anxious and hurriedly explained, ”Your majesty, this traitor has killed your three guardians for some unknown reason. So, we are punishing him.”

Even though it was just an excuse for the bald human formed spirit beast king, he acted like he was killing a traitor and doing a good thing for their inner section.

It was known to all 10 spirit beast kings that their king had a close relationship with Geron because of his Geron’s son who assumed to be ascended to a greater world.

Geron’s son was bound to become much stronger than anyone in the Zrochester province. So, their king even announced to the entire inner section of the cursed wilderness that Geron could call him ’Big brother’.

Of course, it was not liked by the spirit beast kings and waited for a time to kill Geron and erase his territory in the middle section.

”Who are you to punish? Just because you are ranked first among the 10 spirit beast kings doesn’t give you the right to punish him,”

The same loud voice came from the cave that resounded like drums in the ears of the three beast kings.

The inner section of the cursed wilderness is ruled by a single spirit beast king and under him, there are 10 spirit beast kings who look after various regions in the inner section which gave the king of the inner section of the cursed wilderness to cultivate in his old cave.

And these 10 spirit beast kings were ranked from 1 to 10 depending on their cultivation, battle prowess and their own army.

The spirit beast king in the form of a bald human was the powerful one among all the ten spirit beast kings.

Be it cultivation, battle prowess or army, he was almost like a second king of the inner section of the cursed wilderness. So, he always acts haughty and mighty.

”Your majesty, that I….,”

”That’s enough. You can just leave. I will take care of this issue,”

Before the bald man could finish his words, the majestic voice from the cave asked him and the two other spirit beast kings to leave from there.

”As you order, your majesty. We will take our leave,”

”We will take our leave,”

Soon, the bald human along with the two other humans left from there.

’You are one hell of a lucky bastard, Geron,’

However, before they left, the bald human transmitted his voice to Geron as he scoffed at him.

’Scoffs’

The second and third-ranked spirit beasts also scoffed at Geron before following behind the first ranked spirit beast king.

”Little brother, come inside,”

After the three spirit beast kings left that place, the majestic voice asked Geron to come into the old cave.

”Big brother, it was your guardians….,”

For the entire time, Geron remained silent because he was unable to speak with all the attacks his barrier had taken and stored from the three guardians.

Amidst this fight with the guardians, Geron lost hope and felt that the king of the spirit beast was intentionally abandoning him.

However, when he heard the majestic voice asking him to come inside the cave, Geron was overwhelmed that he was not abandoned and tried to explain the whole situation that happened with the three guardians.

”You don’t need to explain all that. I know you about them very well and also about you,”

The majestic voice softened a little as he interrupted Geron from explaining the entire situation.

”Thank you, Big brother,”

Geron really felt very thankful for those words and tried to walk into the old cave with a body full of injuries.

’Thud’

However, just as he took a couple of steps, he slumped to the ground because of those injuries.

Actually, he was barely able to maintain his consciousness to explain that he didn’t do anything wrong to the king of the inner section and after hearing the king’s words, he was satisfied and stopped worrying about other things which made him collapse to the ground.

’Sigh’

The being inside the king sighed after sensing that Geron lost his consciousness.

’Swoosh’

Soon, a dried tree branch of around one-meter diameter came out of the old cave and continued to extend till it reached the unconscious Geron.

In the next moment, it wrapped around Geron before taking him inside the old cave.

…..

After one hour,

In the main hall of the mercenary guild,

”Phew...finally the event is over,”

Rulf heaved a sigh of relief as he slumped onto a chair as he stretched his body and thought, ’Compared to fighting, hosting an event in front of thousands of cultivators is really difficult.’

The event didn’t last for much longer and within less than an hour, everything was finished and the vagrant cultivators along with their personal disciples returned to the main hall.

Edmond, Udo and Darbaudr also joined them in the main hall.

”You did well, Rulf,”

The guild master, who sat on another chair, replied to Rulf before looking at other vagrant cultivators and asked, ”What do you think will happen now?”

Since the event was over, the guild master and others started sharing their opinions similar to how they discussed before the event.

”As we expected, the royal family gave the invitations to every one of our disciples,”

”However, I didn’t expect the royal family would even give our personal disciples some valuable gifts,”

”King Stephen must be thinking that our personal disciples are weak. So, he gave some gifts that would help our disciples increase their cultivation realms,”

.

..

.

….

The discussion continued to go on and finally, the guild master looked at the personal disciples in the main hall before saying,

”Did you hear everything?”

”From this moment, you might be killed at any time and at any moment,”

”Even though most of them would wait until the champions contest, everyone would be not like that and they just want you to not grow powerful,”

With each line the guild master said to the young cultivators, his voice became increasingly deep which made all the young cultivators clench their fists.

The reason he made everyone listen to their conversation was to let them know how serious things would become from now on.

”Everyone listen carefully, you only have this one day to rest. You can rest as much as you want today because your special training will be starting from tomorrow onwards. This includes you,”

Finally, the guild master finished all his advice while looking at Ajax.
