New Age Of Summoners

The young man was none other than one of Edmond’s adopted children, Dark flame.

Compared to other young cultivators, Dark flame had a very high affinity with the fire element which made him learn some good fire techniques which help him in forging or alchemy.

To him, alchemy was a mystery.

Also, he had a huge impact on forging after seeing someone forge a weapon in front of his eyes.

However, he didn’t use the first two things to learn the forging; instead, whenever he got time, he would just perform the set of movements that the forging master did from his childhood and wanted to get enlightened.

Later with the help of Edmond, he studied some books relating to that and had gained some knowledge but he was still not close to becoming a rank 1 forging master.

’As long as I prove my interest in the profession, I might get the chance of becoming Elder Esmund’s disciple,’

Looking at Elder Esmund, who was the Zrochester province’s number one forging master and thought in his head.

’Before the six vagrant cultivators disappeared, Elder Esmund was at peak rank 4 forging master. I wonder whether he had a breakthrough and reached rank 5 or not?’

Moreover, he started guessing Elder Esmund’s rank in forging materials.

”So, let’s not waste any more time with the talking and start the trial,”

Soon, Elder Esmund took out 14 similar looking hammers along with black metal blocks from his storage ring.

”In this trial, there are not many rules and regulations. All you have to do is to hit the metal block as many times as possible,”

After tossing the hammers and metal blocks in front of the young cultivators, Elder Esmund continued, ”The one who hits the more number of hits on the metal block will be getting a good reward.”

After finishing his words, Elder Esmund didn’t stay there any longer as he returned to the other vagrant cultivators to discuss about the young cultivators.

’Looks like I can try my best in this trial,’

’I thought, he would ask us to create some weapon or artifact. Since it is just hitting the metal, I can try it out,’

’I think, if we win in this trial, the Elder Esmund might even take us as his personal disciple and teach us all his forging techniques,’

’Right! Just like how Elder Elek took Lewis and Jeff,’

After getting the information about the trial, the earlier depressed looks on the young cultivators’ faces turned into exciting looks.

Earlier, they felt the trial would be difficult; however, with Elder Esmund’s clear explanation regarding the trial, they felt they could try their best.

’Since the one who hits the metal block more number of times is going to win, then isn’t the cultivator with high cultivation going to have an advantage over us?’

’Sigh...I hope Elder Esmund must have taken this into consideration while giving us this trial,’

However, some young cultivators looked at Levi and Paulin who had the cultivations of the elite general realm and general realm respectively and whispered to one another.

Everyone including the vagrant cultivators, Edmond, Udo and all the young cultivators knew the cultivation of Levi and Paulin. So, they felt the trial might be advantageous to them because this trial is related to strength.

Nevertheless, they didn’t bother much about it as they felt that the vagrant cultivators knew what they were doing.

Soon, the young cultivators started their trial by picking a black hammer.

However, there was one young cultivator, whose facial expression changed from excited to shocked.

’Sigh...I have to forget about everything and try my best,’

Dark flame shook his head as he started the trial without wasting any time.

”Nice hammer,”

As for Ajax, he casually picked the black hammer in front of him and carefully observed it.

’Ding,

          Item name:- Common forging hammer.

          Grade:- Mortal

Description:- A rank 1 hammer that is used for the forging process.

’Huh?’

However, after seeing that information about the hammer through the system, Ajax felt how such a nice hammer is only a common forging hammer.

Actually, when Ajax picked up the black hammer, Ajax felt like he was holding a living thing. So, when he saw there were no effects of the hammer, he felt something was not right and checked the halographic screen once again.

’Ding,

          Grade:- Mortal (Sealed)

’As I expected, there is something wrong with the hammer,’

After checking the halographic screen once again, he noticed ’Sealed’ beside the word ’Mortal’ in very small words making it impossible to see if he was not careful.

’I wonder, what it’s true grade is,’

Ajax started wondering in his mind about the original grade of the black hammer.

Weapons or artifacts are classified into Mortal, Earth, Heaven, legendary grades. Currently, the black hammer was at its lowest grade.

’Ding,

Do you want to unseal it?

While Ajax was thinking about it in his mind, he received a system notification that made him pause his actions of hitting the metal block.

’Huh? How can I unseal it?’

Aja didn’t agree to the system because he didn’t have any plans to unseal it because it would create too much attention from the vagrant cultivators.

So, instead of directly unsealing it, he asked the system about it.

’Ding,

The weak will of the black hammer show its interest in the host. So, with just a thought from the host will unseal the seal placed on it.

’What?’

With the system’s reply, Ajax was shocked as he didn’t expect it and looked at the black hammer in his hands and thought, ’So, you are a low-level heaven grade weapon.’

With even unsealing the seal from the black hammer, Ajax was able to tell the grade of the black hammer.

When it comes to weapons, they have their own will when they were in heaven grade, a soul will be formed when they reached legend grade.

So, Ajax was able to say that it was a low-level heaven grade weapon after seeing the words of ’low will’.

After learning how to unseal the seal from the black hammer, Ajax started thinking of what he should do.

’I guess, I will wait for  sometime before unsealing it,’

After much thinking, he decided to unseal it as he wanted to see how powerful this black hammer could be.

’Wait a second,’

All of a sudden, a thought flashed in his mind as he froze in his actions.

’So, all these 14 black hammers are low-level heaven grade weapons?’

Soon, he turned his head to see the black hammers in the hands of the other participants, who were using them as common black hammers.

’If top sects and families knew that they were using heaven grade hammer like a common hammer, they would become crazy,’

Ajax muttered in his mind as he turned to look at the vagrant cultivators and thought, ’He even changed the name of the hammer to ’Common hammer’. Looks like they live up to their name.’

Ajax’s interest in them increased and at the same time, he thought he would find the materials he needed from them.

’As long as I find a mid-level upgrade stone along with success stone, I can upgrade the ’Seal breaking compass,’

With that thought in his mind, he continued hitting the metal block with the hammer.’
