New Age Of Summoners

’Phew’

The first thing the star Lynx did after releasing his ’Starlight Energy Beam’ was to jump back and when there was no reflection of his skill, he heaved a sigh of relief.

Even though he was almost sure that the skill-reflection property of the barrier was destroyed with the appearance of the crack, he could not help but have a slight fear because his own skill had some good damage to his body.

’What?’

In the next second, the Star lynx along with the two other guardians were shocked to see that the barrier was still not destroyed.

Except for a few more new cracks, it was still staying strong.

However, inside the barrier, Geron was entirely covered in his own blood as he revealed an evil smile on his face.

”You said you heard the biggest joke in your life, right?”

Even with all the blood and injuries on his face, Geron looked at Start lynx with an evil smile as he continued, ”You won’t have another day to live anymore...Haha.”

Geron was in human form from the start and the evil smile on his face looked even crueller because of his innate bestial nature.

’Huh?’

Hearing Geron’s words, the three guardians were puzzled as they didn’t understand where he was getting the courage to speak like that in front of them.

”Now, I already wasted too much time with you. Die”

’Snap’

Geron looked very excited for reason and after finishing his words, he snapped his fingers.

’Zap’

As soon as he did that, the barrier finally cracked into pieces which made the guardians laugh; however, their happiness didn’t last for much longer as an energy beam that looked like the one released by the Star lynx came out from the tree treant in front of Geron.

However, compared to the Star Lynx’s starlight energy beam, this one looked much more powerful than the earlier one.

’Boom’

They didn’t even have the time to dodge as the starlight energy beam engulfed all three guardians within seconds and a huge explosion was resounded in that area that alerted the other spirit beast kings from the nearby territories.

’What is that explosion?’

’It is coming from the direction of the king’s cave,’

’Is someone fighting at that place?’

’I should go and check out who dares to fight at the place?’

’Is it finally time for fighting for the king’s position?’

Even though the explosion was loud, only three spirits beast kings, who were near to the king’s cave were able to notice it and hurriedly rushed towards Geron.

All the three were not worried in the least bit; instead, they were excited for some reason.

’Thud’

In front of the king’s cave, Geron slumped to the ground as he looked at the three spirit beasts’ corpses in front of him.

Looking at the corpses, Geron heaved a sigh of relief and at the same time, he thought, ’Even though I killed them, I depleted the 50 percent of my life energy,’

Thinking about how much he had lost in this fight with the guardians, Geron could not help but become sad.

When human or spirit beasts are born, they have 100 percent of life energy and with time, that life energy continues to decrease till they start their cultivation journey.

Even though with each break through in the cultivation, there will a time where your cultivation stops progressing and your life energy’s depletion will be increased to a huge margin.

According to Geron, in the earlier fight, he had used around 50 percent of his life energy in using the barrier to store all of their attacks inside the barrier.

Moreover, he was cunning enough to make them believe that the barrier was cracked when he had done that willingly.

’Anyway, I am alive for now and can live for another 5-6 years without a worry,’

Nevertheless, he felt it was all worth it in the end because he could not afford to die here now.

He had yet to send his daughter to the place where his son had gone. So, even if he had to use 90 percent of his life energy, he would have still done the same thing.

’Damn it...is my big brother dead or what?’

Finally, Geron felt annoyed at the king of spirit beasts who became his big brother but didn’t show himself even when he was getting killed or when he killed his guardians. So, he felt like his big brother must be dead inside.

’I will leave from here. If any of the spirit beasts saw this, I will be killed without any question,’

Since he was heavily injured, Geron thought of leaving here.

”Geron!!”

However, before he could even take a step, he heard an angry roar from a distance.

”You killed the king’s guardians? You are very gutsy, Geron,”

Just as he turned in the direction where his name was shouted, he heard another angry roar from another direction.

”I will kill you for rebelling against the king,”

Soon, another angry roar from another direction could be heard and within no time three humans landed on the ground from the sky.

All three of them were old men around 50 years in age with only a few black hairs left to turn white.

”You three,”

Geron was shocked to see the three old men surrounding him and revealed a bitter look.

’Looks like I am going to die here,’

He was barely able to stand on his feet and with three spirit beast kings surrounding him, he knew he wouldn’t have a chance to return to his territory.

Moreover, he was very sure that they won’t even ask why he killed the guardians because almost all the spirit beast kings were jealous of him for becoming the brother of the king.

Who said only humans were capable of feeling jealous over others for getting some good things in their life? As long as a spirit beast reaches rank 5, they were almost similar to humans because they could temporarily transform into humans.

Not only appearance wise, but they would also get all the emotions that a human had in them.

As for before rank 4, depending on the spirit beasts it would change; however, most of the spirit beasts were just insane that only like to kill.

”We are…,”

”Don’t waste your breath and just kill me already. I know what you wanted to do for a long time,’

Before one of the old men could even start a sentence, Geron interrupted them as he didn’t want to see them acting like gentlemen who were eliminating a traitor. So, he directly asked them to kill him.

”Since you wanted to die that badly, let me avenge you for the three guardians of the king,”

One of the old men with a bald head whispered something to others before saying his words to Geron.

”Now, die,”

’Swoosh’

Without wasting any time, he directly rushed at Geron and swiped his hand which had long nails, at him.

’I hope Keshe’s re-cultivation would be successful and Ceru help her in ascending to the world my son has ascended,’

Geron closed his eyes and allowed the old man to kill him.
