I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 427, Everyone Deeply Believed

“That’s right. Our feet will leave the ground, and the hot air balloon will rise. Its flying speed is not slow either. That’s what I call a transportation vehicle.” Su Bai smiled.

In this era, he did not want to dwell on too many details. The best form of communication to the natives here was simplicity. Explaining things with too much complexity would just backfire – they would not be able to understand, and he would have to explain once more. It was better to keep things as simple as possible, so neither party would feel troubled, and the other party could understand.

“Shaman, what does a hot air balloon look like?” Yu Ying asked.

Her pink fox tail kept wagging, face full of anticipation. She would occasionally adjust the glasses on her nose.

“Something similar to a balloon… Wait. Better for me to draw it out.” Su Bai said. He did not really know how else to describe it to her. Better to directly draw it.

At this moment, he was very grateful for his drawing skills, which he practiced back on Earth. Otherwise, his plans would have been hindered due to others not able to understand what he wanted.

If he could not draw things, the people of the Tribe most likely would not understand what he had in mind, since they would not be able to comprehend based on simple descriptions alone.

Furthermore, if he had to personally do the manufacturing, that would be very difficult since he lacked experience in this field and had many things he did not understand. For example, the skills of a stonemason or a carpenter.

For such items, even if he had not personally built them before, he had seen them and had experienced how they functioned back on Earth. Drawing out such details was comparatively simple for him. He just needed to draw it out, with a detailed explanation of how certain parts would work, and let the others figure out how to make it.

Yu Ying nodded, immediately taking out Wolf Tail Grass Paper and a quill pen and handing them over.

She began to wait quietly beside him, wanting to see what a hot air balloon actually looked like.

“I need a pencil and an eraser. The quill pen isn’t easy to use for sketching.” Su Bai said.

The quill pen contained Black Stone Nut Juice, which once written with, could not be modified. If he made a mistake while drawing, all his efforts would be wasted, so it was better to use a pencil and an eraser.

“Okay,” Yu Ying nodded, finding a pencil and an eraser and handing them over.

*Rustle rustle rustle…* Su Bai took the pencil and the eraser and began to sketch the outline of the hot air balloon on the paper.

Besides this, he also needed to draw some detailed parts, such as the basket that carried people, or the basin for the flame, and so on.

Drawing a hot air balloon was not difficult; the difficult part was utilizing the principle of how a hot air balloon lifts from the ground.

The hot air balloon needed to heat the air inside the balloon, which has a lower density relative to the cold air outside, creating an upward force that causes the whole structure to fly.

It mainly utilizes heated air, or certain gases like hydrogen or helium, which have lower density than the air outside the balloon to generate an upward force for flight.

Hot air balloons control their ascent and descent by adjusting the temperature of the air in the balloon. The basic principle of a hot air balloon’s flight was thermal expansion and contraction.

[It is theoretically not difficult to handle a hot air balloon; it just requires good operation. It should only take a little practice for someone to be able to control it.]
