The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 1373: Chapter 1373: Commendable Courage (3)

”Since you are a teacher, shouldn’t you be responsible for your students?” Yang Ruxin did not wish to argue with the old man.

”Of course.”

”Then yesterday, student Cheng Nuo was insulted and beaten up in this very classroom. What did the master do?” Yang Ruxin slightly raised an eyebrow, ”Did you find out the truth?”

”The truth is that student behaved improperly and even refused to admit guilt...” Zhao Wenjie furrowed his brow; Cheng Nuo had been here for so many days and never thought to honor him as a teacher. Naturally, he found him distasteful.

Yang Ruxin scoffed, ”Now I suspect you have stolen the Jadeite Gold Hairpin bestowed upon me by the Emperor, and I’m going to search you.”

At this moment, two managers from the academy who had received the news also came over. The dean of the clan school was always Dong Xun, though he rarely managed affairs himself, merely appointing two managers to handle them.

When the two managers got the news, they investigated and only then learned that someone was beaten in the academy yesterday; it wasn’t the Dong Family’s doing. At first, they didn’t think much of it, but upon seeing it was Yang Ruxin, they realized something bad had happened.

Soon, the news reached the Dong Family members, who also rushed over.

Zhao Wenjie was so angry his beard quivered: ”You’re slandering me, you...” Bestowed by the Emperor? That was a matter of life and death; and besides, wasn’t she just a peasant girl? How could she have anything bestowed by the Emperor? Then his mind calmed down, ”Pretending to possess an imperial gift is a crime that can implicate your entire family to the ninth degree; you...”

”Pretending?” Yu Qingge suddenly sneered, ”You dare to deeply offend someone without even understanding their background? I really must admire your courage.”

Everyone frowned at Yu Qingge; this girl’s words were too irritating.

”Didn’t you inquire? Many of my sister’s businesses are conducted in partnership with Prince Eight. Didn’t you ask when my sister and her husband got married, the Crown Prince and Prince Eight personally attended the village wedding feast? Did you not hear that my sister’s boat broke on the way here, and she was escorted all the way by Prince Three? Were you not aware that Prince Ten even stayed at my sister’s house for quite some days?” With every word Yu Qingge spoke, the contempt on her face grew stronger, ”Tsk, tsk, you know nothing, yet you’re causing trouble here...” She said, pursing her lips, ”Such commendable courage. There’s a saying, ’Don’t act up if you don’t want to die.’ Congratulations, you’re walking further down the path toward your doom. Applause!” Then she actually started clapping sarcastically.

Everyone’s expression turned strange. Was this village girl really so formidable? But everyone understood that it was impossible for her to lie.

Yang Ruxin looked at Yu Qingge with approval, then waved her hand before turning to Master Zhao: ”My sister is right. My husband is currently accompanying the Crown Prince to the front lines, fighting for our country. Among the wedding gifts from the Crown Prince was a set of vermeil Jadeite head ornaments bestowed by the Empress Dowager. Now, I suspect you have stolen the Jadeite Gold Hairpin from that set...” She said, looking at Dong Wenming, ”Now... Uncle, I want to search Master Zhao. If this is not acceptable, then I’m going to have to hit someone...” She began to roll up her sleeves.

”Sister, leave it to me to do the beating; I’m good at it. Just tell me whether to hit the face or the buttocks, and I promise to make it a beauty...” Yu Qingge stepped forward, sizing up Master Zhao with the excitement of a wolf catching sight of its prey.

The corner of Yang Ruxin’s mouth twitched, hitting someone beautifully? Only this girl could come up with such an idea.
