The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 1355: Chapter 1355: Eat a Peach (3)

Zhongxia was a seductive-looking woman, and outsiders often disliked her at first sight, finding her unruly; thus, her popularity was not very good, and she barely had any friends in the Dong Family, usually keeping to herself, and she seemed unwilling to get particularly close to anyone.

Even when Yang Ruxin had demanded her presence, she rarely spoke and never took the initiative to approach Yang Ruxin.

However, Wanshuang was the exact opposite; her appearance made people instantly fond of her, seeing her as a pure and adorable girl, and her popularity was especially good. Not only did she get along with the servants in Jinxiu Courtyard like sisters, but she also chatted well with servants from other courtyards, seemingly able to make friends with anyone.

Yet, such a universally liked maid was detested and hated by Zhongxia.

Yang Ruxin stroked her chin, knowing that Zhongxia had a strong sense of integrity and certainly did not fancy someone like Wanshuang, who was intent on climbing the social ladder, but she did not believe that this was a reason worthy of hatred; there must be some unknown reasons, and she was eager to see what scene would unfold if she created an opportunity for Zhongxia to confront Wanshuang.

Wanshuang came back quickly, saying that Miss Ruoqiu had merely fainted from a fall because the young master had caught her, so there was no danger to her life, and Doctor Li had already performed acupuncture on her, so she should wake up soon.

Doctor Li’s wife was a daughter of the Dong Family clan and considered part of the Dong Family; she had previously lived in Suzhou, but due to family changes, she had sought refuge at her father-in-law’s place and had always been looked after by Dong Wenming, now residing in a mansion behind the Dong Family’s, serving as the family doctor.

”Where is your young master?” Yang Ruxin picked up a peach and took a bite; it was crisp and tasted good.

”The young master’s right arm is broken. It happened when he caught the lady and got crushed. When he arrived, a local doctor at the manor had set it and applied medicine. Doctor Li re-examined it, so it’s not serious, but he will need some time to recover...”

Yang Ruxin nodded, ”Injuries to muscles and bones take their own time.” She glanced at her, casually tossing a peach, ”You’ve worked hard; have a peach.”

”Thank you, Miss.” Wanshuang hesitated for a moment then frantically caught the peach, a trace of disdain flashing in her eyes, yet she still had to show gratitude.

”You all go rest.” Yang Ruxin acted as if she did not see and just waved her hand, ”Zhongxia, don’t do needlework tonight. It’s not urgent and it strains the eyes.”

Zhongxia nodded, then stood up, bowed, and left as Miss Xinxin never let her stay up with Wanshuang. After a few days, she was used to it, as for Miss Qingge, she only let Xuxu stay up.

After all the maids had left, Xuxu came back.

”How is it? Did that man really break his arm?” Yu Qingge seemed anxious; she didn’t believe Yang Baiyue could truly break his own arm.

Yang Ruxin smiled briefly; Yang Baiyue, wanting to use the ploy of self-harm, would undoubtedly not fake it—his arm was certainly broken.

Indeed, Xuxu nodded, ”I was there watching Doctor Li reset and bandage his arm.”

Yu Qingge furrowed her brow looking at Yang Ruxin.

”He wouldn’t be foolish enough to fake it,” Yang Ruxin said as she stood up, ”Alright, let’s go to sleep.”
