The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 1037: Chapter 1037: All In (44)

Yang Ruxin frowned.

Zhao Xinghua sighed, ”Her good big brother said she’s already twenty-two and can’t stay at home for the New Year, so he set up a marriage for her with a fifty-year-old widower. She was supposed to marry him yesterday, but Xiaoxia didn’t want to and hid away. She spent the night outside in a snow hollow, and this morning, she ran this way... Her hands and feet are swollen from the cold...”

”What does auntie want me to do?”

”I wanted to ask you if you could possibly match Xiaoxia with your Uncle Xiaowu,” Zhao Xinghua said with a bitter smile. ”The child had met Yang Laowu before and thought well of him, but there’s been no movement from this side, and she’s too embarrassed to ask. Besides, there’s no elder to handle these matters for her, so today she had no choice but to take a chance...”

”But my Uncle Xiaowu is currently a bonded servant, and his health hasn’t improved yet...”

”I’ve said this already.” Zhao Xinghua sighed, ”The girl said she’s willing, and she would even sign a Selling Covenant. If Xiaowu doesn’t wake up, she’s also willing to take care of him...”

”Auntie, I can’t decide this on my own. I need to discuss it first and also ask Uncle Xiaowu’s opinion...”

”I understand. I’ll go back first. When you have a result here, let me know one way or another, so that girl can make her plans...”

Yang Ruxin nodded.

After Zhao Xinghua left, Yang Ruxin thought for a moment and then went to the back to knock on Yang Baixiang’s door.

Yang Baixiang was awake now, but Dao Xuzi was treating his leg, so he still couldn’t move about recklessly; he was using the wheelchair that Gu Qingheng had previously used.

”Xinxin.” Yang Baixiang looked at Yang Ruxin with a smile on his face. He had been updated all about the recent events since waking up by Sanni, and had completely lost hope in the old house; the days he spent here were actually the most relaxed and pleasant days he had ever lived, ”Is something the matter?”

”Uncle Xiaowu, I won’t beat around the bush with you.” Yang Ruxin sat down in a chair as she entered the room, ”I came here to ask you, do you have any plans for your personal life?”

”Me? Plans?” Yang Baixiang was taken aback.

”You used to have a limp, and since the people in the old house didn’t make plans for you, it was fine, but now it’s different. Your leg can heal, and you’ll have things to do in the future. Don’t you plan at all? You’re still young, after all... Have you ever thought about getting a wife?”

”I...” Yang Baixiang sighed, then shook his head, ”I really haven’t thought about it.”

”Well, think now.” Yang Ruxin smiled, Uncle Xiaowu was really honest.

”You girl...” Yang Baixiang couldn’t help but laugh and cry, ”How can you just think about such things on the spur of the moment? Even if I want to start a family, there has to be someone willing to marry me, right?”

”What if there is?” Yang Ruxin raised her brows slightly.

”There is?” Yang Baixiang furrowed his brows. ”Who?”

”I’m just asking you, if there is someone willing to marry you, would you like to meet her?”

Yang Baixiang looked at Yang Ruxin for a long time before finally nodding, ”If there really is such a person, I would like to meet her. If after meeting her, she’s still willing, then I’ll marry her.”

”Okay.” Yang Ruxin nodded, ”You rest for now.”

”Where are you going?”

”To play matchmaker.” Yang Ruxin waved her hand, ”Wait for the meeting.” She then went to the front yard and called Du Man to go to the village, explaining the situation in the village to her as they walked, and of course, she didn’t leave out the matters concerning the old house.

Du Man took note of it all very carefully, figuring out whom she could make connections with and whom she should be wary of. In her mind, she had a general outline.
