The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 1031: Chapter 1031: Visiting the Grave (38)

On the morning of Chinese New Year’s Eve, even the newly bought servants joined the ranks of those exercising.

After the exercise had ended and a simple breakfast was eaten, the family donned their plain clothes and took with them the silver ingots and incense they had prepared in advance; it was necessary to visit the graves on New Year’s Eve.

Although the main branch had severed ties, at that time they had only divided the family register and moved out of the Yang Family ancestral hall, but Yang Baiyue’s grave had not been relocated from the ancestral cemetery, so they were headed to the Yang Family ancestral graves.

The Yang Family ancestral cemetery was halfway up the hillside and was mostly covered with graves.

The morning of New Year’s Eve was the customary time for tomb visits, so it was inevitable to encounter other people, and everyone exchanged greetings with one another.

They hadn’t walked far before they ran into people from the old residence; Old Master Yang was leading a few members of the second branch, obviously also on their way to the cemetery.

Xun Hui felt somewhat ill at ease upon seeing Old Master Yang and didn’t know how to react, so she secretly tugged on Yang Ruxin’s sleeve, ”Xinxin...”

”If you wish, give a greeting, if not, you can pretend not to see.” Yang Ruxin patted Xun Hui’s hand, knowing she was trying to change herself, but a personality couldn’t be altered just because one said so; however, as long as she was willing to try, that was a comfort to her.

Xun Hui nodded and did her best to calm down before smiling at Yang Peili, ”Father.”

Yang Peili’s expression turned ugly, a mixture of embarrassment and regret, his lips stiffly twitched as he nodded, then he glanced at Yang Ruxin.

But Yang Ruxin, as if she hadn’t seen him at all, pulled Sini forward and kept walking.

Erni and the others were even less likely to initiate contact with the people from the old residence; those people had only left them with fear, and their hearts could only repel such fear.

Yang Peili’s face grew even more unsightly, ”Ruxin, do you not even acknowledge your grandfather in your eyes?” Then he looked toward Xun Hui, ”Is this what you...”

”Old Master Yang, can you stop trying to gild yourself?” Yang Ruxin stopped in her tracks, her voice filled with disdain, ”We’ve already cut ties, meaning there’s no relationship left, so what act are you putting on? We’ve torn our faces so many times already; don’t tell me you’re still deluding yourself into believing you can influence us?”

”You...”

”Remember, the main branch is not what it used to be,” Yang Ruxin’s eyes narrowed slightly, ”If you’re wise, just mind your own business.” She then walked straight past.

”Big cousin sister...” Yang Rusong took a couple of steps after her.

Yang Ruxin turned around.

”We are brothers and sisters, always will be,” Yang Rusong said with a smile.

Yang Ruxin didn’t respond to him.

”Yang Dani, you caused the death of my Yuyu, you will be struck by lightning...” Feng Caie suddenly screamed, then bent down to pick up a rock and threw it, ”Die...”

Yang Ruxin stood still without moving as another rock flew by her side, knocking the first rock to the ground.

Du Man instantly stepped in to shield Yang Ruxin.

Yang Ruxin turned around to face Feng Caie, ”Say that again!”

Feng Caie involuntarily took a step back, her heart filled with guilt.

”Feng Caie, your good daughter sold my mother into Bone Village in the mountains; had I not hurried into the mountains, my mother would be dead,” Yang Ruxin advanced on Feng Caie, ”Sold for ten pieces of silver... You have no evidence that I harmed Yang Ruyu, but I have evidence of her actions, so should we discuss it at the Governor’s Office?”

”This...” Feng Caie was so shocked that she was at a loss for words.
