The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 1024: Chapter 1024: Du Family Legitimate Line (31)

The siblings couldn’t help but tightly bite their lips, knowing the hope was slim, but they had no choice, for a home was not complete without parents; otherwise, they would be orphans. Thus, they had to persist no matter what.

”What are your names?” Yang Ruxin asked, looking at the brother and sister.

”I am Du Yunpeng, eighteen this year, and that is my sister Du Man, who is fifteen,” the youth said with a resonant voice. Even in such a dire situation, his demeanor showed not a hint of servility, ”We have studied literature and trained in martial arts since we were young...” He had just reached this point when suddenly he spotted a whip flying towards him and swiftly performed a backflip to dodge Yang Ruxin’s lash.

However, before he could regain his footing, Shuimu rushed forward and engaged Du Yunpeng in combat. But Shuimu was clearly no match for him, struggling to keep up after a dozen or so moves.

Ye San immediately charged into the fray.

Yet, even with the two of them teaming up, Du Yunpeng showed no sign of defeat.

”The Du Family’s boxing is indeed well deserving of its reputation,” Gu Qingheng’s eyes slightly narrowed, then turned towards Yang Ruxin, ”Buying them would be worthwhile; the girl’s martial arts skills are not inferior to her brother’s.”

”The Du Family’s boxing?”

”The Du Family from Quanzhou, though they are merchants, have passed down the Du Family boxing technique. Their name was once renowned far and wide, though unfortunately, they later fell into decline... If I’m not mistaken, they must be a direct lineage of the exclusive household...”

Yang Ruxin frowned.

”Every small household in the village has its sordid secrets, not to mention those great clans. The old patriarch of the Du Family was famously known for favoring his concubines over his wife...”

Yang Ruxin hastily called out, ”Stop.”

Ye San and Shuimu quickly withdrew, wiping the sweat from their foreheads – continuing the fight, they both would likely be defeated.

Du Yunpeng also ceased his attacks.

”The people I purchase must sign a ’death contract,’” Yang Ruxin looked at the other party, ”I don’t care about your past statuses. Once signed, you are mine. I demand absolute loyalty; otherwise, no matter how high your martial arts might be, I will make your lives worse than death...”

”As long as the young master is willing to treat our parents’ illness, my sister and I will swear to serve you until death,” Du Yunpeng knelt down once again.

Du Man also knelt down following her brother.

”Since that’s the case, go bring them here for me to see,” Yang Ruxin nodded, ”I need to see the patients first to know if there’s a cure. If not, I dare not buy you... ”

The siblings quickly turned and ran back, soon returning with one person carrying another, followed by a girl around six or seven years old.

Without seeing for oneself, one might never know, but upon looking, the sight was indeed startling; the old hag hadn’t exaggerated – their parents were barely breathing, indicating they were still alive. If their chests weren’t moving, they would look almost indistinguishable from dead people, their flesh all but gone as if peeling away the skin would reveal skeletons.

Perhaps the movement had aggravated his wounds, the man coughed twice, bringing up a mouthful of blood.

With urgency, Du Man carefully took out a handkerchief and wiped her father’s mouth clean.

The woman, though she did not cough up blood, had a weak and spiritless gaze in her eyes. Yet despite this, she was still very clean; even her fingernails had no dirt, including the young girl’s, which showed that the family’s upbringing was quite refined.

Yang Ruxin went over and felt Du Chengfeng’s pulse. Of course, this was just a pretense; what she was really doing was using her mind to check the other’s body.

The Du siblings watched Yang Ruxin intently with widened eyes.
