The Feng Shui Treasure Appraiser

219: Chapter 219 Turning Black into WhiteCall the police? Send him to the hospital? Let the Three Liu Brothers face punishment from the police?

Hmm, perhaps the police would indeed sanction the Three Liu Brothers, but that kind of punishment would be far too light.

Why?

First of all, there is no evidence regarding the old lady being pushed down the stairs to her death, and her cause of death was indeed a fall. How could they investigate that?

Without evidence, a conviction cannot be made.

Secondly, the old man is not dead yet. As long as he is resuscitated, if he is unwilling to press charges, this matter cannot be prosecuted either. The Three Liu Brothers could easily claim they knew nothing, and upon seeing the old man had stopped breathing, they didn’t send him for a medical check-up but instead placed him directly into the coffin, intending to bury him with the old lady.

Because in the perception of normal people, the absence of breathing and heartbeat equals death, and the village doctor had also checked.

Apparent death? Modern medical concepts do not include the concept of apparent death.

So-called apparent death, where breathing and heartbeat have completely stopped, only exists in folklore, novels, and films; the police and courts will not accept such information as evidence for sentencing.

In other words, as long as there is evidence proving that when the Three Liu Brothers placed their father, Liu Jingyun, into the coffin, he was indeed in a state of having no heartbeat or breathing, they cannot be convicted.

Therefore, calling the police or sending him to the hospital at this time, regardless of whether Liu Jingyun is dead or alive, as long as the Three Liu Brothers refuse to budge, this matter will inevitably be dropped.

At most, it would be considered negligence, but since Liu Jingyun did not die and no serious consequences occurred, there might not even be any punishment.

In short, the authorities are a place that deals in evidence and the law.

And things like metaphysics are too subjective; various elements cannot be observed or recorded, so they cannot be used as evidence to argue a case.

Therefore, while calling the police seems fair and just, the Three Liu Brothers would likely only be detained for a short time. After getting out, they could simply move collectively to a place where no one knows them, and their lives would remain completely unaffected.

Furthermore, even if a sentence were mandatory, the Three Liu Brothers could easily sacrifice a pawn to save the knight, letting one of the three stand up and take the blame for all the crimes. This would minimize the loss. As long as the wealthy Liu Qing remains unaffected, the Liu family would still be the same Liu family, with nothing changed.

Seeing Liu Qing step forward, Han Jingyang immediately understood the Three Liu Brothers’ petty scheme.

They were calculating quite busily.

But with me here, I will absolutely not let these three subhuman scum succeed.

Without Tian Chunming, these three animals only have this little bit of cunning to use.

Thinking this, he coughed and said: ”Boss Liu, you are so brave and so clever to have come up with such a strategy to survive by placing yourself in a desperate situation. Indeed, the things you have done either lack evidence or the authorities won’t believe them. By doing this, it looks like you are throwing yourself into the net, but in reality, you are treating the authorities as a protective umbrella. Clever.”

”However, with me here, can I let you succeed? I have only one purpose for coming here today: to expose your true colors and let the thousands of fellow villagers in Xiaohe Village see what a heartless, ungrateful bunch you three brothers really are.”

Liu Qing’s expression changed drastically: ”Han Jingyang, don’t push me too far! Isn’t it just that I owe you five hundred thousand? First, you destroyed my mother’s coffin, then you scared my father to death, ruining our family, and on top of that, you, you still want to pour dirty water on our brothers’ heads. Are you even human?”

”I’m pouring dirty water?”

”Isn’t it? My mother was kind to others her whole life, and in her later years, she even ate a vegetarian diet, released captive animals, and did charity work every day. And what was the result? She couldn’t even have peace after death, having her coffin opened and her corpse exposed by you twice. You can’t bully people like this. Come, isn’t it just money you want? I’ll give it to you now, double, ten times, five million, I’ll transfer it to you right now.”

As Liu Qing spoke, tears streamed down his face. He wailed and sobbed while taking out his phone to transfer the money: ”The money is for you, please, let our family go. Our family has already been harmed enough by you. Isn’t it just that we didn’t adopt your advice when choosing the grave site? Is it necessary to go this far? First, you cut off my family’s Dragon Vein, then you used a chainsaw to cut open my mother’s coffin, and now you are spreading rumors about us three brothers. You are trying to drive us to ruin.”

Hearing this, Han Jingyang was so angry he laughed.

Can it really be like this?

How shameless must a person be to say such things that distort the truth?

In just a few words, he has painted me as a despicable villain who, unable to extort money, uses unscrupulous means to take revenge on his employer?

Simply... shameless!

Liu Jing was so angry her nose was crooked, her small face flushed red: ”You’re talking nonsense, that’s not how it is at all! It was clearly you who wanted to use vicious Feng Shui Arts to change your fate and fortune. The old man and the old lady were the sacrifices you chose. You, you...”

Liu Qing wiped his tears and said loudly: ”I, Liu Qing, am superstitious about Feng Shui, everyone knows that, and our Liu family’s success today relies entirely on this good Feng Shui. However, my Liu family now has everything we could want, with enough savings for our family to spend until the next life. We have long been without desire, so how could we possibly do such insane things?”

”You did it!”

”When speaking and doing things, one must be reasonable. Even if I, Liu Qing, wanted to do such things, would I let you find out?”

”Hmph, if it weren’t for our boss being knowledgeable and powerful, you would have actually succeeded.”

Liu Qing wiped away his tears and stared at Liu Jing: ”If you say that, I also want to ask you people, what are you after? Huh? I have no grudges against you and have never even met you, yet you keep going against me. What are you after? Isn’t it just wanting to extort money? When you couldn’t extort it, you used these vicious methods to harm my whole family. Do you have to force me to ruin before you’ll stop? Then come on, come, come and kill me, kill me, just please don’t make things difficult for the deceased elders, okay? I beg you.”

As Liu Qing spoke, he suddenly knelt down and began kowtowing frantically to the four people with Han Jingyang.

His forehead slammed against the marble floor tiles, making a ”thudding” sound, and after a few times, blood appeared.

The village chief couldn’t bear to watch. He looked at Han Jingyang, then at Liu Qing, who was covered in blood and crying bitterly, and subconsciously walked over to help him up.

Seeing this, the other villagers also frowned and whispered to each other.

”Could we really have wronged Liu Qing?”

”Looking at it like this, it doesn’t seem fake.”

”It really doesn’t make sense.”

”Exactly, Liu Qing has everything he could want, and the old couple are symbols of his family’s good fortune. How could he possibly do such a thing?”

”Feng Shui is one thing, but no matter how superstitious Liu Qing is, he wouldn’t do that kind of thing. Let alone just being superstitious, even if he believed in some evil things, it would at most be abandoning his parents. Besides, Liu Qing looks like a normal person no matter how you look at him.”

”I reckon it’s just this group of people intentionally extorting him. We all know about Liu Qing hiring someone to pick the grave site, and we all know about the Dragon Slaying, hehe.”

”Right, it’s just this young guy relying on having a little skill to extort Liu Qing.”

”This kind of thing has happened before. Liu Qing himself said that when he was doing engineering projects, he was extorted for several million by a Feng Shui master who had been hired, and in the end, it was only solved by finding an expert to step in.”

”Damn it, looking like a decent person, why doesn’t this young guy act like one?”

”Extorting us right here in Xiaohe Village? Can we let him leave alive?”

”Go get him!”

”Beat this little punk to death!”
