The Feng Shui Treasure Appraiser

201: Chapter 201 The First Fairy as a MaidWhat could Wang Wei say?

She couldn’t say anything.

She even had to act happy.

Even though she didn’t want to be Han Jingyang’s exclusive worker at all.

But she had no choice.

The world of metaphysics was truly a place where the strong preyed on the weak; even the law couldn’t protect them. If a conflict really broke out, one side would have to die—the kind of death that was absolute. She had already died once and didn’t want to die again.

Even if she didn’t die, just being trapped in those scissors where no light ever reached was terrifying beyond measure.

She would rather vanish completely than be locked away.

In the afternoon.

Shi Xiaoya called a moving company and carefully had all the flowers on the balcony moved to the villa Han Jingyang had recently bought.

Naturally, it was the smaller one where Han Jingyang intended to live himself.

The fully renovated villa was move-in ready. Aside from daily necessities, everything else was provided. The bedding was still in its original packaging, ready to be used as soon as it was opened.

Nevertheless, Shi Xiaoya replaced them with new ones.

Once the flowers filled the balcony, even Liu Jing couldn’t help but go over and take several photos because it was truly beautiful.

During the years Wang Wei had been dead, she couldn’t do anything else. Besides cleaning, she spent her time tending to these flowers. How could they not grow beautifully?

Moving into the new home.

Han Jingyang took a tour upstairs and downstairs, took out the flower scissors, tossed them casually by the balcony, and said to Wang Wei beside him, ”From now on, the cleaning and chores in this house are your responsibility. As long as you don’t cause trouble, I have ways to make you exist for much longer.”

Wang Wei asked in a tone of pleasant surprise, ”Really?”

Han Jingyang didn’t speak. He waved his hand to summon the Chaotian Temple and then commanded it to reach out a large hand toward Wang Wei.

Seeing the over two-meter-tall Chaotian Temple, Wang Wei’s expression changed drastically. ”It... how is it with you?”

”Why shouldn’t it be?”

”You... you... you’ve tamed it? Which sect’s technique is this?”

”You don’t need to know that. You only need to know that I have plenty of ways to deal with you. Whether it’s taming, subjugating, sealing, or killing, your fate depends entirely on your attitude. You’re receiving this treatment now because of your previous honesty and cooperation. Understand?”

Wang Wei fell silent for a long time before answering softly, ”Mr. Han, I understand. From now on, you are my master.”

After saying that, she called out again, ”Master.”

Han Jingyang was stunned.

What did she mean?

Master?

This... what was this woman thinking?

He just wanted to intimidate her a bit so she wouldn’t try anything sneaky. How did he suddenly end up with a maidservant for no reason?

Though, it didn’t seem bad.

Even though this maidservant was a literal one who could only clean and do chores, it was still good. At least when he was home alone, he wouldn’t have to work hard at cooking or cleaning.

If Han Jingyang had one flaw, it was that he hated cooking and doing chores. It had been that way since he was a child; he’d rather carry sacks or swing a hoe in the fields than wash vegetables, cook, or clean.

Therefore, the feeling of surprise at gaining such an all-around maidservant was even stronger than obtaining a high-grade item.

No, he had to hold it in.

He couldn’t let this female ghost—no, this fairy—see it.

Han Jingyang nodded calmly. ”So be it. Get familiar with the environment here first. In a couple of days, after I adjust the Feng Shui of this place, I’ll find a way to get you some benefits.”

”Thank you, Master.”

”Mhm.”

Han Jingyang nodded and led Liu Jing and Shi Xiaoya out the door.

As soon as they stepped out, Liu Jing and Shi Xiaoya immediately regained their usual liveliness.

”Boss, are you really going to keep that woman?”

”Boss, Boss, how did Wang Wei do that?”

”Boss, can we be like that after we die?”

”Boss, is she really not a ghost?”

”Boss, is this a bit like Voldemort? Dead, but the soul resides in a dharma instrument; as long as the instrument isn’t destroyed, it’s equivalent to eternal life.”

”...”

Han Jingyang sighed. ”I want to ask those questions too. I used to think I understood this world well, but now I realize I was just ignorant. This world is far more complex than we imagined, and there are still many unknown secrets waiting for us to explore.”

This was just being evasive.

But if he didn’t do this, how could he explain?

Explaining was too exhausting.

And it wasn’t easy to make the story consistent.

Wang Wei’s appearance was indeed quite absurd.

It made this already complex world even more complicated.

Instead of putting in so much effort to explain, it was better to just play dumb and claim ignorance.

In any case, his current status, fame, reputation, and strength had all risen. Even if he said nothing, no one would dare to question him.

Who would dare question him?

No need for nonsense; let the results speak for themselves. Talk with real ability.

When it came to strength, whom did he have to fear?

Jiguang Zhai.

At the entrance.

Ye Fei stood at the door holding a package.

Ye Fei’s parents were also standing to the side, looking forward with anticipation.

Seeing Han Jingyang leading the two women over, they hurried to meet them. When they reached Han Jingyang, they knelt down without a word and kowtowed three times with audible thuds.

Han Jingyang felt a bit helpless seeing this family of three.

It was obvious they were here to thank him.

But he didn’t need it.

He really didn’t need their gratitude.

He wasn’t lacking their bit of money or an antique that only looked decent.

Besides, he hadn’t saved Ye Fei for Ye Fei’s sake, but to give face to Shen Yuhai.

If Shen Yuhai hadn’t spoken up, he wouldn’t have bothered.

Han Jingyang felt very helpless and didn’t even want any further contact with Ye Fei’s family. After all, none of them seemed to know how to handle things properly. Although he could tell it was heartfelt, wasn’t this method of thanking him by kowtowing directly on the street a bit ill-considered?

It wasn’t like the old days. If someone filmed this and posted it online, there was no telling what netizens would say.

But he couldn’t stop them in time, so he had to accept the gesture.

Of course, he was worthy of it.

After Shi Xiaoya stopped the elderly couple who had also run over intending to kneel, he finally spoke: ”Boss Ye, there’s no need for this.”

Ye Fei said with extreme sincerity, ”Brother, you are my own brother, my life-saver. If it weren’t for you, my life would have been ruined. Even if I could eventually be cleared of the false charges, who knows when that would have been? Besides, I have a company. Without me there, the company would definitely have gone under. At that time, forget about making money; the losses would have killed me. Even if I got out, I’d be paying off debts for the rest of my life. It was you, Brother Yang, who helped me avoid those terrible outcomes.”

Han Jingyang nodded slightly.

Although this person’s way of doing things wasn’t very comfortable, his attitude was sincere.

This was a point in his favor.

At least it was hundreds of times better than those who say thanks but have no gratitude in their hearts.

They entered Jiguang Zhai.

Ye Fei’s family thanked him once again with great sincerity.

Han Jingyang waved his hand. ”There’s no need for words of thanks, and don’t mention money. I’ve received your sentiment. This matter wasn’t difficult; I handled it easily. It’s not worth such a grand treatment from you.”

Ye Fei shook his head. ”Brother Yang, for you it was just a small effort, but for our family, it was a true life-saving grace. I had just gone in and hadn’t even figured out what was happening before I was released. The police officer processing my file was even surprised, saying I had powerful backing. It was Deputy Director Shen who told me that you personally caught the real culprit and cleared me of suspicion.”
