The Feng Shui Treasure Appraiser

208: Chapter 208 A Tragic Human RelationshipHan Jingyang, Shi Xiaoya, and Liu Jing were all stunned.

Liu Qing killed his own mother with his own hands?

What kind of madness is this?

If it is true, it is simply inhumane and worse than a pig or dog; even slicing the Liu man into a thousand pieces would not be enough.

Especially Shi Xiaoya and Liu Jing; the two of them could hardly believe their ears. ”The murder you mentioned, was it someone else who killed her, or was it Liu Qing who killed her with his own hands?”

Xu Xin sighed. ”Liu Qing told me himself; he said he pushed the old lady off the second floor with his own hands.”

”Why? Why would he do that?”

”He was instigated by that man surnamed Tian. He said something about raising dragons; it should be related to Feng Shui.”

Han Jingyang coughed. ”It is not ’should be’, it definitely is.”

”It is?”

”It is.”

”What kind of Feng Shui formation requires killing one’s own mother?”

”Blood relatives are extremely important in Feng Shui and metaphysics. Why does everyone like to give their parents an elaborate burial? It is precisely because of this; the bond between blood relatives is incredibly strong, and under the enhancement of a Feng Shui formation, the effect is even more powerful.”

”Bu-but, what is Liu Qing after? He has everything he could want now, enough money to last him several lifetimes, his children are all talented, and even his grandchildren are about to have children. What is left to be dissatisfied about?”

”As Old Xu said, he was bewitched by that Feng Shui Master surnamed Tian.”

”Are you sure he was bewitched?”

”Yes,” Han Jingyang nodded. ”That man surnamed Tian has ill intentions; the Liu family’s calamity has only just begun.”

Xu Xin’s expression changed. ”Brother, what do you mean…”

Han Jingyang nodded. ”This is just the beginning; next, I am afraid it will be Old Man Liu.”

”Old Man Liu is in good health; surely it won’t come to that?”

”Surely not?” Han Jingyang sneered. ”Since that man surnamed Tian wants to play the game of sacrificial burial, he must have made full preparations. In this situation, since Old Xu, who was supposed to be the sacrifice, was rescued by us, who will fill that gap?”

Everyone’s expression changed simultaneously.

It was the first time any of them had heard of such a human tragedy.

And they were all direct participants and witnesses.

If there is a spirit in the afterlife, how desperate must the old lady lying in the coffin be? How painful? How filled with grief and indignation? How heartbroken? And how bewildered?

Being murdered by her own son; that feeling must be unbearable.

Xu Xin sat up immediately. ”We cannot let them continue to commit such evils; we must stop them.”

Han Jingyang spread his hands. ”Stop them? How do we stop them? Who is going to stop them?”

That is easily said. Stop them? With what? The opposing side has a powerful expert, the kind that Xu Xin cannot even withstand a single move from. Who is going to stop them?

Call the police? It is useless, because calling the police can only stop them for a moment, not a lifetime. Because these are things that Liu Qing and the Three Liu Brothers want to do; as long as they have such intentions, if there is no Mr. Tian, there will be a Mr. Wang or a Mr. Zhao.

Unless one kills the Three Liu Brothers directly. But the result of that is no different from letting the Three Liu Brothers be; either way, it leads to the destruction of the family. Moreover, who wants to commit murder? If forced into a corner in self-defense, then there is nothing to say. But to kill someone over a matter that has nothing to do with oneself, most people cannot bring themselves to do it. At least, Han Jingyang cannot.

He was never one to meddle in other people’s business, and he was even less willing to have a human life on his conscience while doing so. Most importantly, he was not confident. That Mr. Tian was extremely powerful, a practitioner of both magic and martial arts, knowledgeable in Feng Shui and metaphysics, and had extremely high martial arts cultivation; he was incredibly difficult to deal with. If he were to be targeted by this person, the consequences would be unimaginable.

Xu Xin also thought of this and lowered his head in pain, feeling desperate and self-reproachful. ”It shouldn’t be like this; Liu Qing shouldn’t have gone down such a path. Why bother? The old man and the old lady were good people, kind to others their whole lives…”

Han Jingyang coughed. ”Old Xu, I want to remind you of one thing: what you see is only what you see.”

Xu Xin’s expression shifted slightly. ”You mean…”

”I am just reminding you that you think Old Man Liu is a good person who was kind to others his whole life, but that is only what you think. In reality…”

”In reality, it is the exact opposite?”

”I dare not say the old man is a heinous villain, but it certainly has nothing to do with being kind to others his whole life.”

Upon hearing this, Xu Xin slowly lowered his head.

Shi Xiaoya asked in a deep voice, ”Boss, so we are just not going to do anything?”

Han Jingyang nodded. ”Even if you and Liu Jing were tied together, you would still be no match for that Mr. Tian. Even if we wanted to do something, we could not.”

”Just sit and watch Old Man Liu be murdered by his own son?”

”That is just my guess,” Han Jingyang shrugged. ”Perhaps Liu Qing will suddenly see the light and voluntarily stop those evil Feng Shui formations.”

Several people fell silent. Such a possibility indeed exists, but the probability is too low. The sunk cost is enough to drag Liu Qing into the abyss. The current Liu Qing is tied to a runaway train by that Mr. Tian; other than watching himself and the train plunge into the abyss together, he can do nothing.

Turn back? If he turns back now, how will Liu Qing face the old mother he killed with his own hands? Wouldn’t he have nightmares every night?

In the silence, Xu Jingyun rushed into the shop. Seeing her father on the sofa, she let out a long sigh of relief, wiped the corners of her eyes, took a few deep breaths, walked up to the sofa, placed the food container she brought on the coffee table, and said coldly, ”Eat.”

Xu Xin knew he was in the wrong and dared not say anything. He took out chopsticks, handed a pair to Han Jingyang, and said to Shi Xiaoya and Liu Jing, ”Let’s eat together. You saved me in the middle of the night; you must be hungry too.”

Then he said to his daughter, ”Xiao Yun, I promise this is the last time. From now on, I will not deal with anyone other than your Uncle Wang and Brother Han. I will honestly run our family’s hotpot restaurant and will no longer ask about the disputes and grievances of the Jianghu.”

Only then did Xu Jingyun’s expression soften slightly. She bowed respectfully to Han Jingyang. ”Brother Han, thank you for saving my father once again.”

Han Jingyang waved his hand. ”It is a small matter. Your father and I are friends. Although we have not known each other for long, our friendship is deep. This is all something friends should do.”

Xu Jingyun smiled bitterly. ”Even if you are good friends, the grace of saving his life twice is very heavy. I don’t know how to repay you.”

”Hey, saying that makes us strangers.”

”I think so too. How about this, Brother Han? I will offer myself to you. It just so happens you don’t have a girlfriend, and I haven’t dated anyone either…”

”No!”

”Absolutely not!”

Before Xu Jingyun could finish her sentence, Liu Jing and Shi Xiaoya, who were just about to start eating, jumped up in unison.

Han Jingyang, Xu Xin, and Xu Jingyun all looked up at the two women in unison.

Liu Jing’s expression froze, and she explained sheepishly, ”The boss just went through a breakup and is busy with his career right now; he is not in the mood to date.”

Shi Xiaoya smiled brightly. ”The boss told me that he is at a critical stage of his cultivation and cannot be distracted, and especially cannot leak his Yang energy. So, for the next period of time, he really cannot date. What if he cannot control himself and ruins his cultivation? If his cultivation is ruined, and we encounter something like today again, who will save people? Is that not the logic?”
