The Feng Shui Treasure Appraiser

216: Chapter 216 UnharmedHan Jingyang and Shi Xiaoya followed the blood trail, but they quickly lost track once they reached the village.

Han Jingyang took out the copper token and activated the ”Tracking” attribute, but still found nothing.

”That old dog escaped, but it doesn’t matter. Without his arms, that old dog Tian is just a stray dog. If we run into him again, I can kill him with a flick of my wrist. Let’s go, save the person first.”

”Should we… call the police?”

”No need. That old dog Tian is a smart man. Since he escaped, he won’t leave any clues for the police. If we force a pursuit or investigation, it might make him desperate, and if he causes casualties, that would be bad. After all, that old dog Tian is an expert; even without his arms, he has other means, more than enough to deal with ordinary people.”

”Boss, you… how can you still be worried about others at a time like this? Do you know you almost lost your life? When you were kicked, my heart almost jumped out of my throat.”

”Hehe, isn’t everything fine now?”

”Boss, don’t do such dangerous things in the future.”

”Mn, I won’t take risks anymore. A weak scholar like me, who can’t even truss a chicken, had better stay away from the flashing of swords and blades.”

As they spoke, they met up with Xu Xin and Liu Jing.

Seeing the two of them covered in blood, Liu Jing was shocked. She rushed over to Han Jingyang and carefully supported him: ”Boss, are… are you okay?”

Han Jingyang wiped the tears from the corner of Liu Jing’s eyes: ”Unharmed.”

”This blood…”

”It’s that old dog Tian’s.”

”You won?”

”Mn,” Han Jingyang smiled. ”Shi Xiaoya showed off her might, slashing twice to cut off both of that old dog Tian’s arms. But he ran fast and disappeared in a flash. It’s a pity we couldn’t cut off the old dog’s head.”

”Really?” Liu Jing was startled, then looked at Shi Xiaoya suspiciously: ”Boss, you’re joking, right? Is that old dog Tian that easy to deal with?”

”It’s true.”

At this moment, Shi Xiaoya took out two plastic bags, which contained a pair of human hands with half of the forearms attached.

Liu Jing jumped back with a ”whoosh,” an expression of disbelief on her face: ”It’s actually true?”

Shi Xiaoya tilted her head slightly: ”Of course. If I hadn’t cut off both of that old dog Tian’s arms, could the Boss and I have walked here unscathed?”

Xu Xin was very experienced in the martial world. Seeing the bloodstains on Han Jingyang and Shi Xiaoya’s chests and the damage to their clothes, he knew they must have gone through a bitter and arduous battle.

But the result was solid.

The two hands couldn’t be fake.

Yet, the two of them were truly unharmed.

Xu Xin could only secretly admire Han Jingyang in his heart, because only Han Jingyang’s magical and diverse dharma instruments could produce such an effect.

However, Xu Xin didn’t say anything. After confirming that Han Jingyang and Shi Xiaoya were truly fine, he softly reminded them: ”Brother, should we look for Xiao Yun first, or go to Liu Qing’s house?”

Han Jingyang answered without hesitation: ”Find Xiao Yun first.”

Xu Xin quietly breathed a sigh of relief: ”Do you have any good ideas?”

”We can try,” Han Jingyang said. He took out the copper token, activated the ”Tracking” attribute again, and quickly found a clue. The four of them hurried to follow it, chasing all the way into a residential house.

Pushing the door open and entering, they found Xu Jingyun’s mobile phone, Bluetooth headset, bag, and other odds and ends. A few scattered bloodstains could also be seen on the sofa.

But she was not there.

They tried Tracking again, but there was no movement.

Han Jingyang’s heart sank.

There was only one possibility for this situation: Xu Jingyun had been taken away by Tian Chunming.

Xu Xin also thought of this possibility, his face turning even uglier: ”Brother, is there any other way? I beg you, you must save Xiao Yun.”

Han Jingyang took a deep breath, forcing himself to stay calm: ”Tian Chunming has lost his arms; he definitely couldn’t have run far on foot. He must have a car and a driver. That’s the only way he could have held Xiao Yun hostage and escaped from Xiaohe Village. But driving means he has to take the main road, and there is surveillance everywhere on the main roads now. Let’s call the police. There won’t be many cars leaving Xiaohe Village during this time frame, so it won’t be hard to track them down.”

As he spoke, he took out his phone and called Shen Yuhai, briefly explaining the situation.

Shen Yuhai was very straightforward: ”That’s a small matter. However, I can only provide you with information support; I won’t let these ordinary police officers get involved in the battles between you experts.”

”That’s enough. Thank you, Old Shen. The faster, the better.”

”You’re welcome. Call me again if anything comes up.”

”Mn.”

Hanging up the phone, he patted Xu Xin on the arm: ”Old Xu, don’t worry. These days, no car can escape the police’s attention. Let’s go to Liu Qing’s house first.”

Xu Xin took a deep breath. Although he was very worried about his daughter, he knew this was already the best way.

Liu Qing’s house.

Near noon, the villa was bustling with activity inside and out. The dining tables were set all the way to the side of the road, and almost all the villagers had come because Liu Qing was willing to spend money. Everyone who came to help received a thank-you gift, at the very least a carton of Zhonghua cigarettes, as well as snacks and treats.

Even the lunch was very sumptuous. Although it was cooked in large pots, the ingredients used were not ordinary, and the standard was higher than most people’s weddings.

Because of this, the atmosphere at the scene was quite lively.

Liu Qing and his two brothers had lost their parents, but the villagers were not sad. On the contrary, they were quite happy, wishing that the three Liu brothers would hold a funeral every month. As a result, many people were directly playing cards and drinking at the dining tables, making a huge racket.

Until they saw Han Jingyang and his group of four.

The four of them had solemn expressions. Two were covered in bloodstains, and three were carrying swords or blades. No matter how you looked at it, they were not people to be trifled with.

The person in charge heard the news and hurriedly ran out with a few cartons of cigarettes to stop the four. His gaze swept over them and accurately identified Han Jingyang as the leader. He accompanied them with a smiling face and said: ”Brother, the host is holding a funeral today. Whatever grudges you have, can you wait until after today? The deceased are the most important. Give the two old people some face. Come, come, have a smoke.”

Han Jingyang pushed away the cigarettes in the manager’s hand and said calmly: ”We didn’t come here to cause trouble, but to save someone.”

”Save someone?”

”Yes.”

”Save, save who?”

”The old man of the Liu family, Liu Jingyun.”

”What do you mean?” The manager’s expression changed slightly.

Han Jingyang sneered: ”Haven’t you ever doubted the cause of the old couple’s death?”

The manager’s expression changed again, and he gestured: ”Let’s talk about it inside, shall we?”

Han Jingyang shook his head: ”No need to talk inside. I want to say it right now. The Liu family’s old lady, Zhang Peilan, was killed by Liu Qing. Liu Qing personally pushed the old lady down the stairs.”

The manager’s face turned pale, and he hurriedly said: ”Don’t talk nonsense! You, you… this is the Liu family! If you talk nonsense, Liu Qing and these fellow villagers won’t let you off.”

Sure enough, the nearby villagers who heard Han Jingyang’s words looked over with unkind eyes. Although they didn’t intend to take action, they were clearly unhappy.

People from the same village would instinctively protect their own.

Moreover, regardless of whether such a scandal was true or false, if it spread, the whole village would lose face, because others would ask if someone in their village had done such and such a thing. In the future, it might affect the villagers’ ability to marry off their daughters or take in daughters-in-law.

Seeing this, Han Jingyang sneered: ”The dead are dead, and I have no interest in picking a fight for a dead person. But Liu Jingyun is still alive. If I didn’t know about this, fine, but now that I do, I won’t allow such a human tragedy to happen again.”
