The Feng Shui Treasure Appraiser

139: Chapter 139 is chillingAfter listening to Shi Xiaoya’s explanation, Han Jingyang immediately thought of the practices of certain wealthy individuals in the South or Hong Kong and Taiwan.

It was exactly the same.

There was no doubt about it.

It was definitely this place.

So he said to Shi Xiaoya, ”If you have time, go take a look over there. By the way, do you know how to use a katana?”

”I do.”

”Do you like using one?”

”I do.”

”I’ve prepared one for you. Its quality is extremely high.”

”Is it a dharma instrument?”

”Yes.”

Upon hearing this, Shi Xiaoya threw her arms around Han Jingyang and left a large lipstick mark on his face. ”Thank you, Boss.”

The joy in her eyes could not be hidden.

Liu Jing, however, arched her brows in anger and glared fiercely at Shi Xiaoya, her right hand gripping the hilt of her blade as if she were looking at a rival who had stolen her husband.

Han Jingyang cleared his throat. ”Let’s go see that haunted house first. By the way, how exactly did Wang Wei die?”

Shi Xiaoya shook her head. ”I’m not sure either. He Dingkun never let me get involved in Wang Wei’s affairs. I only know she died in the bedroom, and her state of death was horrific.”

”No more information?”

”None,” Shi Xiaoya shook her head. ”Afterward, He Dingkun didn’t have any particular reaction. When he found out, he just said ’oh’.”

”Was this villa sold later?”

”I’m not sure. This happened four years ago, and the villa was under Wang Wei’s name. After Wang Wei died, I didn’t pay any more attention to it.”

”Did Wang Wei have any children?”

”No, she was an only child. Her parents both live in the countryside.”

”In other words, Wang Wei’s parents sold the villa?”

”That needs to be investigated,” Shi Xiaoya said, becoming alert. ”Wang Wei’s parents are very timid and have no worldly experience; the biggest city they’ve been to is the county seat. Their health is also very poor. It stands to reason that even if they inherited this villa, they wouldn’t know how to handle it. They might not even be able to get through the residential complex gate. Someone must have intervened.”

Han Jingyang also narrowed his eyes. ”You mean there’s more to this villa than meets the eye?”

”I’m not sure, but outsiders definitely intervened.”

”Then keep an eye on it. Quietly, don’t alert the enemy.”

”Alright. Boss, you take care too,” Shi Xiaoya said, smiling sweetly at Liu Jing. ”Little sister, protect the Boss well.”

Liu Jing retorted coldly, ”No need for you to talk nonsense, and I’m older than you.”

”Alright, big sister, you are my good big sister, okay?” Shi Xiaoya blinked. ”Boss, let’s go see that haunted house. Come to think of it, this is my first time going there. In the past, I even had to walk around it to avoid suspicion.”

Han Jingyang led the two women back.

Ye Fei was talking to a chubby middle-aged man with glasses, his expression very sincere.

The man with glasses, however, looked very impatient and didn’t even look at Ye Fei. But when he saw Han Jingyang and the two women, his eyes lit up, darting back and forth between Liu Jing and Shi Xiaoya.

Han Jingyang sneered.

Shi Xiaoya stepped forward and asked with a charming smile, ”Big brother landlord?”

”Yes, yes, that’s me. Let’s get to know each other. My name is Wang Xiaoyong, General Manager of Yulan Trading Company under the Jinghua Group,” Wang Xiaoyong said, reaching out to Shi Xiaoya with great enthusiasm.

Shi Xiaoya, however, scoffed. ”I thought you were some big shot. Turns out you’re just a small general manager. How boring.”

Then she turned to Ye Fei. ”Boss Ye, right? Are you having trouble?”

Ye Fei glanced at Han Jingyang before nodding. ”I did run into some minor trouble and was just communicating with General Manager Wang.”

”Some people don’t know their place and are constantly courting death. If he doesn’t listen to advice, just give up. At worst, you lose a bit of the penalty fee, which is still better than having someone die. Nowadays, a human life is worth several million. How much is this order worth? It’s not worth it.”

”I...”

”Don’t worry, no one dares to bully you. You are my good big sister’s friend, which makes you my friend too. Whoever bullies you, we sisters will help you bully them back,” Shi Xiaoya said, affectionately putting her arm around Liu Jing’s neck. ”Good big sister, don’t you think so?”

Liu Jing struggled a bit and snorted, not taking the bait.

At this moment, the embarrassed and angry Wang Xiaoyong stared furiously at Shi Xiaoya. ”Who are you?”

”Who am I? I’m just a small shop assistant,” Shi Xiaoya said with a coy laugh, then linked her arm with Han Jingyang’s. ”Boss, isn’t that right?”

Han Jingyang ignored Shi Xiaoya.

However, he was quite satisfied inwardly.

This woman knew how to handle situations.

This whole performance not only suppressed Wang Xiaoyong’s momentum but also drew everyone’s attention to him.

It was equivalent to rolling out a red carpet for his entrance.

She was a good sycophant.

Working with her was indeed more comfortable than with Liu Jing.

Useful.

Thinking this, he took advantage of the path Shi Xiaoya had paved and said to Wang Xiaoyong, ”General Manager Wang, since you are from the Jinghua Group, it shouldn’t be hard for you to find out the history of this villa.”

”What history?”

”No comment. However, I’ll give you a friendly warning: without the accompaniment of a professional, it’s best not to go in, especially not alone. That’s all I’ll say. Let’s go.” After saying this, Han Jingyang led Shi Xiaoya and Liu Jing away.

Wang Xiaoyong was stunned for a moment, then jogged a few steps to catch up with Han Jingyang. ”Little brother, can you tell me in detail what the problem is?”

”The problem is everywhere. This villa is very dangerous.”

”In what way is it dangerous?”

”The kind that kills people.”

”Even with renovations?”

Han Jingyang stopped instantly, turned around, and looked down at Wang Xiaoyong. ”You know this villa is a haunted house!”

Wang Xiaoyong instinctively took two steps back and stammered, ”I, I also just heard it from others...”

”So, you’re looking for people to renovate it in name, but in reality, you’re looking for people to step on a landmine for you.”

”I, I...”

”General Manager Wang, if your body is broken, it can be saved, but if your conscience is broken...”

Han Jingyang said this and turned to Ye Fei behind him. ”Boss Ye, just cut your losses. This old guy doesn’t have good intentions. If you continue, something will definitely happen.”

Without hesitation, Ye Fei said to Wang Xiaoyong, ”General Manager Wang, I won’t do this job.”

Wang Xiaoyong said in a fluster, ”Be careful, or I’ll sue you.”

”Whatever,” Ye Fei snorted. ”I can afford to drag it out. I hope you can last until the day you win the lawsuit.”

”What do you mean?”

Ye Fei had already followed Han Jingyang and the two women away. When they reached the parking lot, he asked in a low voice, ”Boss Han, is that villa really that dangerous?”

Han Jingyang nodded slightly. ”Someone has tampered with the villa. Whoever buys it is doomed.”

”Hopefully no more lives will be lost, otherwise it would be a pity for such a nice villa.”

”When a person has bad luck, they can choke to death on water. If you really end up with a villa like that, no one knows what will happen.”

Luck is something ethereal and unpredictable, let alone that villa.

Thinking of the aura and energy of that villa, Han Jingyang couldn’t help but shudder.

Too terrifying.

Only someone like me.

If it were someone timid, they would definitely faint at the first sight of it.

Haunted house?

Ghost house!

Blood-red energy swirled endlessly around the villa, with strands of black energy mixed in between.

Furthermore, a woman’s figure was hidden within it, occasionally revealing half of a hideous face as she roared at the group.

Eerie!

Horrifying!

Chilling!
