The Feng Shui Treasure Appraiser

138: Chapter 138 Damascus Steel Samurai SwordHan Jingyang had only encountered the second wave of Japanese people, yet he had already seized many good items.

Either the grade was high.

Or the attributes were good.

Or the skills were excellent.

Furthermore, apart from a few items with Japanese characteristics, the rest were all local products, which looked more pleasing to the eye and felt more natural to use.

Han Jingyang identified the remaining spoils of war in one breath and harvested several more good items.

However, their attributes and skills were slightly inferior.

He managed to pick out a few small items that could serve as amulets.

They were originally small pendants used by those Japanese people for self-protection, mostly made of jade, with two pieces made of gold and silver.

Finally, he could put together a set for his grandparents, parents, and younger sister.

Besides that, he also unearthed a decent katana.

The one used by Shirakawa Yasunari.

”Name: Damascus Steel Katana.”

”Grade: Sixth Grade.”

”Attribute: Sharpness +4.”

”Skill: Wind-Facing Slash.”

It was a very good sword.

It was only slightly inferior to the one belonging to Abe Tamakane.

However, having too many of these things was useless.

People in this country generally did not practice with katanas.

And he already had a better one.

This one... he could only throw it on the counter to try his luck; perhaps someone would like it.

He should take the opportunity to get Liu Jing a war sword-type dharma instrument. Although that unsharpened kangxi war sword was quite handy, it was ultimately lacking something.

Replacing it with a dharma instrument would surely be like adding wings to a tiger.

It would also be able to protect me better.

...

Jinding No. 1 Villa District.

Han Jingyang, Liu Jing, and Ye Fei stood at the entrance of a villa.

”Is this the place?”

”Yes.”

”Do you know who the original owner of this villa was?”

”Who?”

”He Dingkun’s second wife.”

”Huh?”

”Jinding No. 1 was developed by He Dingkun himself, and the villa He Dingkun lives in is just diagonally across.”

”This...” Ye Fei was a little panicked. ”What should we do?”

He Dingkun was still in a coma. Although everyone believed that He Dingkun had no chance of waking up, and did not believe that He Dingkun and Dingshen Group had any chance of making a comeback.

But for an ordinary person like Ye Fei, He Dingkun’s name was still terrifying.

Liu Jing chuckled. ”Don’t panic. The He family can barely save themselves; how would they have time to bother with you? Besides, you’re just doing some renovations; it has absolutely nothing to do with them.”

Ye Fei took a deep breath. ”Should I call the landlord first?”

Han Jingyang nodded. ”Sure, it’s best to have the landlord involved in this kind of thing, otherwise it will be troublesome later.”

Then he said to Liu Jing, ”Let’s walk around the residential area.”

Liu Jing understood immediately, quickly followed Han Jingyang, and asked in a low voice, ”Boss, is there a problem?”

”The feng shui here is a bit strange.” Han Jingyang held the compass and walked around the residential area, finally stopping at the entrance of the villa where He Dingkun lived.

”Here...”

”This is the core of this feng shui formation.”

”The core?”

”The formation eye,” Han Jingyang shook his head. ”He Dingkun is truly ruthless. He turned the entire residential area into a feng shui formation, absorbing the qi from other villas day and night to nourish his own villa. Those who bought villas here are incredibly unlucky.”

”Damn it!”

”Indeed, damn it!” Han Jingyang nodded. ”However, the person who set up this formation was also a hack with poor skills. They sucked in both good and bad things. While there are many benefits, there are also many hidden dangers. Heh, now he’s receiving his retribution.”

Liu Jing blinked. ”Boss, do you mean that He Dingkun ended up in this state because he brought it upon himself?”

”Who can say for sure about fate?” Han Jingyang sighed with emotion. ”Let’s go, let’s go in and sit for a while.”

He knocked on the door. The door opened.

Shi Xiaoya looked at the two of them in surprise. ”Boss, why are you here?”

”Taking care of some business, just passing by, thought I’d stop in.”

”Come in quickly. What would you like to drink?”

”Tea,” Han Jingyang leaned back on the sofa. ”Is there any lead on the bronze tripod?”

”Boss, I was just about to tell you about this. I found a lead, but I’m not sure yet.”

”What do you mean?”

”I re-analyzed He Dingkun’s itinerary over the years, combined with all his investments and donation projects, and found one location with the most suspicious points, but I can’t guarantee it 100%.”

Han Jingyang was very satisfied. ”Keep it a secret for now. Later, when I’m done with my business, we’ll go take a look together.”

”Okay, Boss,” Shi Xiaoya said happily. ”The matter with Dingshen Group is coming to an end. In another two days, I’ll be able to go to the shop and officially start work.”

”So fast?”

”It seems someone has intervened, wanting to cut through the Gordian knot and tidy up the situation. After all, Dingshen Group itself has quite a lot of real estate and high-quality assets, which are of high value and very attractive.”

”Who intervened?”

”Jinghua Group. They have a big background.”

The background was indeed not small.

Han Jingyang had heard of Jinghua Group’s reputation. It was a private group with a strong presence in Lu Province. Its nature was similar to Dingshen Group, focusing on physical assets, and it was involved in industries such as catering, supermarkets, hotels, entertainment, car sales, gas stations, and construction companies, but its scale was larger than Dingshen Group.

After all, Dingshen Group’s sphere of influence was concentrated in Quancheng.

Jinghua Group, however, was a well-known enterprise in Lu Province. From Quancheng to Dao City, from Zhongyue to Weizhou, the shadow of Jinghua Group could be seen everywhere, with total assets exceeding ten billion.

These were solid, real assets, not market capitalization.

The difference was huge.

Big fish eat little fish, little fish eat shrimp.

Before, Dingshen Group was the big fish that ate the little fish.

But in front of Jinghua Group, Dingshen Group became the little fish that got eaten.

Big and small are relative.

Han Jingyang chatted with Shi Xiaoya for more than half an hour before receiving a call from Ye Fei: ”Mr. Han, the landlord is here. What do you think...”

”Wait for me for two minutes,” Han Jingyang stood up and said to Shi Xiaoya, ”Pack up your things and prepare to move out. Don’t live in this villa anymore.”

”Why?”

”It’s not good.”

”What do you mean by that?”

”The whole residential area is a wicked feng shui formation, extracting qi from other villas to nourish this one. But the person who laid it out had average skills, and there are many hidden dangers, so get out early.”

”Boss, I’ve lived here so long...”

”You are not the owner of the villa, so it’s not a big problem.”

”Then the other owners...”

”The harm is subtle. He Dingkun isn’t stupid, and the owners are even less stupid. If something happens every day, the owners will definitely get suspicious.”

Shi Xiaoya was thoughtful. ”No wonder the housing prices in Jinding No. 1 have never gone up. I previously thought it was because those owners didn’t want to be neighbors with He Dingkun. Boss, now that you put it this way, the reason is found. Someone must have sensed something was wrong, but they didn’t dare to speak out because of He Dingkun’s influence.”

”Hmm, but it has nothing to do with you. Just move out early. Let the Jinghua Group, who is taking over, worry about the rest.”

”Then, Boss, what business are you here for today?”

”Helping someone check a haunted house.”

Shi Xiaoya’s expression changed slightly. ”Is it the one where He Dingkun’s second wife lives?”

”Yes, the one you mentioned to me before. Do you have anything to add now?”

Shi Xiaoya hesitated for a moment and said in a low voice, ”I suspect that the bronze tripod we are looking for is related to He Dingkun’s second wife.”

”How so?”

”He Dingkun took Wang Wei as his mistress, but didn’t live with her. However, he treated Wang Wei quite well, donating money and materials to Wang Wei’s village to build roads, bridges, tourist attractions, and schools. Over more than ten years, he invested over 50 million successively, and every year during the New Year, he would accompany Wang Wei back. This is very abnormal.”
