The Feng Shui Treasure Appraiser

112: Chapter 112 The MysteriousHan Jingyang was very satisfied.

He had cash.

He also had dharma instruments.

Adding the spoils he had seized from Abe Tamakane, last night’s trip to Thousand Buddha Mountain had been a huge windfall.

On top of that, there was the favor from Xingguo Zen Temple.

He had saved their abbot; such a favor couldn’t be repaid with a mere ten million in cash and a few amulets.

It couldn’t be repaid in a lifetime.

The debt of saving a life was greater than the heavens; this was no joke. As long as no accidents occurred, this favor could be passed down for several generations. Even if Monk Delin and Monk Kongyun were no longer around, the successors of Xingguo Zen Temple would have to remember this favor and repay it when Han Jingyang’s descendants needed help.

Otherwise, if word got out, people would only say that the monks of Xingguo Zen Temple were ungrateful.

He entered the house.

Monk Kongyun greeted everyone repeatedly and even chatted with Han Zhenshan for a few moments before sitting down.

Han Jingyang gave his mother, grandfather, and grandmother a look.

Once they had stepped out, he asked, ”How is your master?”

”The test results are back. He’s a bit weak, but other than that, there are no problems.”

”That’s wonderful news.”

”I must also thank you for saving his life. My master said that if it wasn’t for you, not only would he have passed away, but the Japanese conspiracy would have also succeeded.”

”Conspiracy?”

People nowadays are somewhat repulsed by the word ”conspiracy” because it’s very annoying when everything is ”conspiracy-theorized.”

Han Jingyang was no exception.

How could there be so many conspiracies and schemes?

But in this case, he had to admit that it really was the truth.

It just couldn’t be considered a conspiracy.

Rather, it was an open scheme.

Because some people in the country saw it clearly, but due to the current situation, policies, ideology, and other factors, these things could never be discussed openly. Most local decision-makers never took things like Feng Shui into consideration when making decisions.

Unfortunately, civilian forces couldn’t unite into a single force; their strength was relatively scattered.

So, many loopholes were left in this regard.

the Japanese were exploiting exactly those loopholes.

When the Maitreya Victory Garden was being built, didn’t the monks of Xingguo Zen Temple notice any problems?

They definitely did; with Monk Delin’s level of cultivation, it was impossible for him not to notice.

Did they try to advise against it?

Advising was useless. The provincial and municipal governments wanted to attract investment and develop tourist attractions. When the Japanese came in with a large amount of Capital and said there was no problem with investing but they wanted to participate in the construction of the scenic area, which local decision-maker could refuse such conditions?

So this was an open scheme; everyone involved knew what was going on, yet no one could stop it and could only watch it happen.

Of course, that was thirty or forty years ago.

Now the situation has changed, and the authorities have also begun to pay attention to these matters. Although they can’t say it directly, the strategy they’ve developed to promote the development of traditional culture might not be without the intention of loosening restrictions.

If it were thirty or forty years ago, someone as high-profile as Han Jingyang would either be cracked down on as a fraud or invited to the Capital to conduct experiments; there was no second path.

Now, however, no one really cares. As long as you don’t break the law, you can do whatever you want.

Monk Kongyun sighed. ”Anyway, that’s just how it is. the Japanese haven’t given up on their desire to destroy us. Although a small Thousand Buddha Mountain won’t affect the overall situation, there will still be trouble if we remain completely defenseless. Especially last night, that Japanese man attempted to use the Feng Shui formation laid over thirty years ago to attack the Thousand Buddha Mountain dragon vein. If he had succeeded, I really don’t know what would have happened to Quancheng.”

What would have happened?

Just look at the fate of the Dingshen Group building to know.

Of course, Quancheng has millions of people, is a provincial Capital, and a famous historical city. It is also protected by the dragon veins of Mount Tai and the Yellow River, so it wouldn’t collapse completely like the Dingshen Group.

But something would definitely go wrong.

Feng Shui formations aren’t omnipotent, but in a modern city, there are already many hidden dangers. If luck is poor and two or three of those hidden dangers erupt simultaneously, the city’s operations would come to a temporary standstill.

Life is so fast-paced now; how much impact would pressing the pause button on a city have?

Not to mention the direct and indirect economic losses.

The loss of public morale, reputation, prestige, and trust is the most terrifying.

Coupled with some media and self-media fanning the flames, it would only bury more hidden dangers.

What is this called?

This is called corrosive infiltration.

It’s the same principle as steel rusting. No matter how hard the steel is, it can’t withstand molecular-level corrosion. If not controlled well, it will rot through in a few years.

So Feng Shui is indeed important in a way.

But in another way, it’s really not that important.

Because in the end, it always comes down to human effort.

Just like the Dingshen Group building; if He Dingkun’s family were honest businesspeople, even if the Feng Shui was completely broken and the building caught fire, it would just be an inspection, criticism, and a fine. Afterward, they would just need to strengthen fire safety management.

Of course, that’s speaking of normal Feng Shui.

The items in Han Jingyang’s hands were not included in that.

The items in Han Jingyang’s hands seemed to be based on metaphysics, with energy fields and various types of auras, but their attributes and skills were quite ridiculous, almost like a dimensionality reduction strike.

Regarding the matter of Thousand Buddha Mountain and Maitreya Victory Garden, Han Jingyang could understand some things.

But he still had to ask the parties involved about the details.

But Monk Kongyun was unwilling to say much, either claiming he didn’t know or saying his master had forbidden it.

Han Jingyang was thoughtful.

It seemed the matters involved were truly significant.

Otherwise, Monk Kongyun wouldn’t be so tight-lipped.

He should go back there more often; perhaps he would discover something.

However, when it comes to Thousand Buddha Mountain and Maitreya Victory Garden, whatever problems exist aren’t something an independent player like me can interfere with.

Thousand Buddha Mountain is a famous mountain in Quancheng and a key scenic area; it definitely cannot be meddled with.

Maitreya Victory Garden is a scenic spot on Thousand Buddha Mountain with a grand architectural scale, so there’s no way to tamper with it either.

Even if he summoned the Great Emperor Zhenwu again, it would be difficult to break the Feng Shui there.

Thousand Buddha Mountain is different from the Dingshen Group building.

Thousand Buddha Mountain is a branch of the Mount Tai dragon vein. As long as this energy vein isn’t severed, the Feng Shui layout of Thousand Buddha Mountain will exist forever; even if temporarily broken, it will quickly recover.

Severing a dragon vein is no simple matter; only projects on the scale of the Three Gorges Dam would barely have the power to do so.

Ordinary tunnels, highways, high-voltage power towers, and wind turbines at most affect a portion of the earth’s energy and several energy points, but they have almost no impact on the energy veins hidden deep within the earth.

Moreover, energy veins can shift their course; they are not static.

However, these changes are all initiated from a physical level.

As an independent player, I clearly don’t possess that kind of energy. Writing a few words on a stone wall in a scenic area would result in a fine, let alone large-scale demolition or destruction.

Perhaps in the future, he would still need to rely on the influence of Monk Kongyun and his master.

Decades ago, this master and disciple had no say.

But that might not be the case now.

Han Jingyang had a sudden realization and patiently chatted with Monk Kongyun for a while.

Until Monk Kongyun tentatively made a request: ”Boss Han, my master is very interested in the dharma instruments you’ve consecrated. Do you think you could sell me a few? If it’s really inconvenient, even one would do.”
