Chapter 1147: Chapter 1146 Eastern Medicine Arrives

While Lin Dong was receiving the Legacy of the Sovereign Witch, outside, Bai Mei and Zhang Tianjue stood guard the entire time.

”It’s been several days, why hasn’t Master Lin come out?” Zhang Tianjue asked doubtfully.

Bai Mei said eagerly, ”Could it be that Master Lin has truly won the approval of the Sovereign Witch? Is he now accepting the Legacy of the Sovereign Witch?”

”This...” Upon hearing this, Zhang Tianjue couldn’t help but have his eyes burst out with a flash of brilliance.

Could there be any other explanation?

Otherwise, he should have come out by now!

At that moment, Wang Qiqi and Wang Cheng also arrived at the location.

Especially Wang Qiqi, who had already received numerous phone calls.

When Lin Dong was on his way to the southwest, he had instructed those from the Southern Faction Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners to call him when the time came.

But now he was accepting the Sovereign Witch’s Legacy, and the phone calls couldn’t get through.

Fortunately, through their connections with the War Department, they learned that Master Lin had gone to the southwest with the Southwest King, which allowed them to get in touch with Wang Qiqi.

”Divine General Wang, where exactly is our leader? The contest between Traditional Chinese Medicine and Eastern Medicine is starting today.”

”The Eastern Doctors from Kimchi Nation have already arrived in Demon City, why can’t we get in touch with our Leader?”

”They’re clamoring for the Leader to come out, we don’t know how to respond...”

Wang Qiqi could only reply, ”Brother Dong is now at the Sovereign Witch Sect. He’s currently within the Sect’s Formation, and I can’t get in touch with him right now.”

”We can only wait for him to come out.”

”Sigh, do you know when he’ll come out?” Gu Jiangming and the other Southern Faction Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners were clearly very anxious.

After all, the agreed-upon competition was about to begin.

And yet, their leader Lin Dong was nowhere to be found.

Wouldn’t this mean admitting defeat without a fight?

Wang Qiqi felt equally helpless, ”I don’t know myself, I can only wait outside the Formation for him. Once he comes out, I’ll have him rush to Demon City immediately!”

”Sigh, alright then.”

After receiving phone calls from the leaders of the Southern Faction Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners, Wang Qiqi came outside the Formation, waiting anxiously for Lin Dong to finish his retreat.

”Brother Dong, please come out quickly. If you don’t come out soon, your competition between Traditional Chinese Medicine and Eastern Medicine will truly end in forfeit without a fight.”

Lin Dong, who was accepting the inheritance, had no concept of time at that moment. It felt as if only an instant had passed.

But in reality, several days had gone by outside in the world.

Meanwhile, in Demon City.

Today was the day of the scheduled showdown between Eastern and Traditional Chinese Medicine. A special airplane from Kimchi Nation took off from Paocai Nation Airport, headed for Demon City.

Around nine in the morning, it arrived at Demon City’s airport, and then a group of people headed to the Demon Capital Medical Association.

The location for this showdown was set at the Demon Capital Medical Association.

The person leading the group was Kimchi Nation’s number one Eastern Doctor, the Medical Saint Jin Yuan.

He appeared to be in his sixties, wearing traditional Eastern Medicine attire, with slightly grey hair and carrying a medical box in his hand.

Despite his age of over sixty, his grip on that cumbersome medical box was strong and his stride vigorous; he was full of energy and had an exceptional presence.

Following him were the Ten Great Eastern Medicine Practitioners. Among them was Li Huanzhen, who had previously been defeated by Lin Dong.

These Ten Great Eastern Medicine Practitioners, together with Medical Saint Jin Yuan, represented the highest level of medical art in Kimchi Nation.

Now, they were using this team to challenge Traditional Chinese Medicine of Dragon Country. If they won, the world would recognize their Eastern Medicine as superior to Traditional Chinese Medicine.

From then on, no one would question the origins of their Eastern Medical Scripture.

After getting off the airplane, they boarded the shuttle that would take them to the Medical Association.

Soon, they reached the Medical Association.

However, upon arrival, they did not see their opponents for this event, the Leader of the Southern Faction Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners.

Li Huanzhen questioned, ”Where is Chief Lin of the Southern Faction Traditional Chinese Medicine? Our Eastern Medicine’s Medical Saint has come, shouldn’t he come out to meet him as the opponent?”

The President of the Demon Capital Medical Association awkwardly replied, ”Chief Lin has not arrived yet. We also cannot get in touch with him at the moment.”

”Hahaha, is he afraid? Did the reputation of my master, Medical Saint Jin Yuan, scare him into hiding, afraid to accept the challenge?”

Upon hearing this, the people of The Medical Association fell silent.

Even they thought this might be the case; why else would they be unable to contact him?

”Since Chief Lin of the Southern Faction Traditional Chinese Medicine doesn’t dare to come, then let us overthrow Demon City’s Medical World first!” Li Huanzhen declared.

After speaking, he turned to his master, Medical Saint Jin Yuan, and said respectfully:

”Master, it seems that the kid is scared and hiding, not daring to face the challenge.”

Medical Saint Jin Yuan indifferently replied, ”The appointed time is eight at night, what’s the hurry?”

”Hehe, Master, you’re right. But before that, let us disciples go ahead and collect all the Famous Doctor’s plaques from the Demon City’s Medical World,” Li Huanzhen suggested.

Medical Saint Jin Yuan nodded, ”Go ahead, while I wait here for the Leader of Southern Faction Traditional Chinese Medicine to show up!”

After finishing speaking, Jin Yuan found a spot in the square outside the Medical Association, sat down cross-legged, and began to meditate.

Seeing this, Li Huanzhen and the others left to pay their respects to the renowned Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioners of Demon City.

Time quickly passed, and several hours later.

Li Huanzhen and the Ten Great Eastern Medicine Practitioners came back holding more than a dozen Traditional Chinese Medicine Plaques in their hands, which they threw onto the ground, laughing derisively:

”Demon City’s Traditional Chinese Medicine, Dragon Country’s Traditional Chinese Medicine, are no match at all!!!”

At the same time, they broadcast the scene online.

With financial resources at their disposal, they aggressively marketed the event on the internet in both Kimchi Nation and Dragon Country.

In just a few hours, the affair was spread far and wide across the Internet.

Their taunts included:

”Where is that kid, the Leader of Southern Faction Traditional Chinese Medicine? We have taken down the plaques of all the well-known Traditional Chinese Medicine Doctors in Demon City, and yet he doesn’t dare come out, hehe, is he scared?”

”Traditional Chinese Medicine of Dragon Country, the vaunted Leader of the Southern Faction, turns out to be a braggart of a kid, laughable, truly laughable!!!”
