Urban Divine Doctor Descends the Mountain

Chapter 1117: Chapter 1116 Southwest Witchcraft

”War God Lin, follow us to the Southwest War Zone first. I’ll have Qiqi select an SUV for you, to take you to Wushan Mountain,”

After the airplane landed at Tian’s Manor, the Southwest King said to Lin Dong with a smile.

Lin Dong nodded, and then followed him towards the Southwest War Zone.

On the way, Lin Dong also asked about some matters regarding the Sovereign Witch Sect.

Lin Dong had seen many records of witchcraft in ancient books. It’s a mystical culture even more ancient than Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Some even say that Traditional Chinese Medicine originated from shamanistic medicine.

Even today’s spells are said to have evolved from ancient witchcraft.

Witchcraft had its origins in the Southwest Region, where witch culture is highly revered.

Thus, even individuals such as the Southwest King and Wang Qiqi would worship offerings to the witch clan.

However, Lin Dong did not know much about the Sovereign Witch Sect.

But since even the Southwest King had worshiped there, it certainly must hold no low position within the Witch World of the Southwest.

Hearing Lin Dong’s inquiries, the Southwest King couldn’t help but say, ”War God Lin, we in the Southwest hold witch culture in high esteem, hence the rise of many witch Dao sects.”

”Among them, the oldest is the Sovereign Witch Sect! It is said that the foundation of the Sovereign Witch Sect dates back to ancient times.”

”The earliest Sovereign Witch of the sect is rumored to have been the Demon God ’Chi You’ who once contended with the Yellow Emperor. Of course, that’s only a legend, unverifiable.”

”But here in the Southwest Region, there indeed exists a belief that Chi You is the ancestor of our Witch World....”

”However, despite its long history, the Sovereign Witch Sect has, alas, somewhat fallen into decline now. Currently, the Martial Way is held in the highest esteem, followed by spells, and even the black witch sects are stronger than the most ancient and traditional Sovereign Witch Sect. Even the Onmyoji of Yinghua Country and the Azan Masters of the East Sea dare to claim that they surpass our Southwestern witchcraft....”

Upon saying this, he let out a deep sigh.

”War God Lin, I’m not going to conceal it from you; Qiqi’s grandmother was once a witch. I, too, have some understanding of witchcraft; that’s also why I often take Qiqi to worship at the Sovereign Witch Sect,”

The Southwest King spoke at length about the Sovereign Witch Sect, with a tone of lament.

Lin Dong understood this sentiment well.

The Southwest King’s mother was a witch, a member of the legitimate witchcraft tradition. Moreover, being a Southwesterner himself, he naturally did not want to see the decline of the witchcraft that represented their Southwestern heritage.

It was the same for Lin Dong. Although he wasn’t a full-time Doctor, having learned Traditional Chinese Medicine, he didn’t want to see it decline either.

Rather, he hoped that Traditional Chinese Medicine could gain fame worldwide.

It was the same principle.

”By the way, Brother Dong, do you know about Zhang Tianjue, the top Art Master of the Southwest?” Wang Qiqi suddenly asked at that moment.

Lin Dong nodded, ”I know.”

He not only knew of him but also was acquainted with him.

In fact, Lin Dong still owed Zhang Tianjue a favor. When facing the world Poison King’s eldest disciple Taotie and Yan Yu, Lin Dong was concerned about their poison ’Divine Destruction,’ so he had asked Zhang Tianjue to use his spells to create a decoy for him.

With the decoy, he was able to break the effect of ’Divine Destruction’ and thus won against them.

This was something Lin Dong always remembered.

”What about him?” Lin Dong quickly asked.

”He comes from the Sovereign Witch Sect, and he and the current ’Patriarch’ of the Sovereign Witch Sect are actually sworn brothers,” Wang Qiqi remarked.

”So he is also from the Sovereign Witch Sect; it seems this sect is truly no trivial matter,” Lin Dong mused.

He had witnessed Zhang Tianjue’s spellcraft; if relying solely on that enigmatic art, even Earth Realm martial artists could easily be ensnared.

Of course, if he were to encounter Lin Dong, he would still have no chance of winning.

Because Lin Dong’s strength now is comparable to a Sixth Stage Grandmaster. With such strength, Zhang Tianjue wouldn’t even have time to use his spells before being slaughtered by Lin Dong!

However, compared to those who have just entered the Earth Realm, Zhang Tianjue’s chances of winning are definitely greater.

As the group continued their conversation, they soon arrived at the Southwest War Department.

Lin Dong followed the Southern King and Wang Qiqi into the Southwest War Zone.

Lin Dong also saw the elite special forces of the Southwest War Zone ’White Shark Special Force,’ which ranked eighth in the last large comparison of the War Department!

How should it be put? Ranking eighth seems quite good. But in reality, for the Southwest War Region, it was clearly not enough.

Even this ranking was somewhat embarrassing!

Because the Southwest War Zone is one of The Six Major War Zones!

If they were ranked sixth, it might be acceptable, but ranking eighth was completely damaging to the reputation of The Six Major War Zones.

Because of this, other war zones were saying that the Southwest War Zone no longer deserved to be called one of The Six Major War Zones.

”Brother Dong, your cultivation technique has trained the regular special operation team so well. So, could it also train the elite special operation team?” Wang Qiqi suddenly lit up and spoke excitedly.

If Lin Dong’s Body Refining Method and training methods could help her father, the Southwest King, elevate his ’White Shark Special Force’ into the top six, that would be fantastic.

Then who would dare to say that the Southwest War Zone didn’t deserve the title of one of The Six Major War Zones?

Lin Dong had already written down the Body Refining Method and training methods for Wang Qiqi.

Wang Qiqi then passed these methods on to the ’Red Fish Special Force’ she was leading, instructing them to train according to Lin Dong’s methods before the large comparison of the War Department.

Upon hearing Wang Qiqi’s question, Lin Dong nodded and responded, ”Yes, it’s useful!”

”The Body Refining Method is equally useful for the elite specialties team! Physical constitution is crucial for both ordinary soldiers and martial artist soldiers alike!”

”I even think that in the short term, focusing on enhancing physical constitution is more beneficial than trying to increase overall strength. Because with the Martial Way, no matter how hard you work, you can’t improve that much in just a month or so.”

”However, physical constitution is different; strength training is always the most basic and important aspect in Martial Arts Cultivation!”

Hearing this, Wang Qiqi was delighted and quickly said to her father, the Southwest King:

”Dad, during the upcoming period, let’s have the ’White Shark Special Force’ train according to War God Lin’s Body Refining Method. Who knows, there might be a miracle!”

The Southwest King laughed and, although he thought War God Lin’s method might not be of much use to an elite special forces team,

he did not want to snub Lin Dong’s face, so he said:

”Okay then, in the coming period, I’ll have our ’White Shark Special Force’ add War God Lin’s Body Refining Method to their existing training regimen.”

In fact, he didn’t have much hope and felt that maintaining eighth place in the upcoming war department comparison would be good enough.

As for making a breakthrough higher up, he didn’t dare to entertain the thought.

After all, it’s too difficult to win against those ahead as they were not so simple. How could one compete when everyone else was also progressing?

Thus, Lin Dong wrote another version of the Body Refining Method for the Southwest King.

This version, with slight modifications from the previous one, was more suitable for the ’White Shark Special Force’ as martial artists to train with.

After completing the manuscript, he handed it over to the Southwest King.

After finishing these tasks, Wang Qiqi drove a war department SUV over.

”Brother Dong, get in the car, we’re off to Wushan now,” said Wang Qiqi, visibly excited and happy about the upcoming journey.

Lin Dong nodded, got into the SUV, and set off with Wang Qiqi towards Wushan...
