Urban Divine Doctor Descends the Mountain

Chapter 1110: Chapter 109: This Battle Must Not Be Lost

After leaving the sanatorium, the sky had already darkened.

He didn’t forget the appointment with Sister Qingcheng tonight.

He hurriedly headed for Qingcheng International again to pick up Sister Qingcheng.

After he left, Wang Qiqi said, ”Divine Doctor Lin really has noble integrity. Just now when we offered him money as a reward, he didn’t accept a single cent.”

Southwest King said, ”Someone like him doesn’t lack money. If you really want to repay him, you need to give him something else.”

”Dad, what gift should we give him as a token of our gratitude?” Wang Qiqi asked.

”It’s difficult to say, and I don’t know what he needs. When the time comes, we’ll ask someone who knows him well. We must repay this favor,” replied Southwest King.

Wang Qiqi nodded.

”Dad, let’s not rush back to the Southwest. How about we wait until after Divine Doctor Lin’s medical competition with the Eastern Doctors before returning?” Wang Qiqi suddenly proposed.

Southwest King Wang Kun nodded, ”That’s not a problem. However, over the next two days, we need to visit the acting War God at the Demon City War Department!”

As the Southwest King from the Southwest War Zone, he was still a notch below the acting War God in terms of position.

Now that he had come from the Southwest to Demon City, it was only proper to pay a visit to the acting War God.

Moreover, during the acting War God’s inauguration last time, he had not attended because of his father’s illness. Now that his father’s sickness was cured in Demon City, he must pay a visit to that superior no matter what.

Upon hearing her father’s decision, Wang Qiqi joyfully said, ”That’s great, Dad. I’ve been wanting to meet the acting War God.”

”I heard he’s very young!”

”Hmm. When the time comes, you can learn from him,” Southwest King advised.

Wang Qiqi stuck out her tongue, ”But I heard that the acting War God is leading their regular Special Operation Team from Demon City War Department to participate in the upcoming large comparison of the War Department. Isn’t he asking to be trounced by me? Hahaha...”

At this, she burst into laughter.

Despite her young age, Wang Qiqi’s reputation was significant within both the Southwest War Department and the entire Dragon Country War Department.

At sixteen, she became a Divine General, setting the record as the youngest female Divine General in all of Dragon Country.

Now at the age of twenty, she was already a Four Star Divine General. Her perfect inheritance of her father’s cultivation talents even surpassed his own.

Indeed, like father, like daughter!

This time, she would also serve as the instructor for the regular Special Operation Team ’Red Fish Special Force’ from the Southwest War Zone, participating in Dragon Country’s Combat Department’s Great Competition.

In the past, the regular Special Operation Team’s performance from the Southwest War Zone had always been much better than that of Demon City’s team.

They could rank within the top ten!

So when Wang Qiqi made her previous remark, she was referring to her intention to utterly defeat the regular Special Operation Team led by Demon City’s acting War God.

And hearing his daughter Wang Qiqi’s words, Southwest King also Laughingly Said, ”When the time comes, take it easy. Don’t embarrass the acting War God too much. No matter what, he is still the mighty War God.”

”Dad, I know my limits...”

...

Lin Dong was unaware that Wang Qiqi would be serving as the instructor for the regular Special Operation Team from the Southwest War Zone in Dragon Country’s Combat Department’s Great Competition.

Of course, even if he knew, Lin Dong wouldn’t care much.

At the moment, Lin Dong had arrived at Qingcheng International, driving his old Hongqi to pick up Li Qingcheng.

He didn’t enter Qingcheng International because there were still many reporters squatting at the door.

It seemed they were waiting for him.

He sneakily parked his car in the parking lot, then sent a message to Li Qingcheng.

”Sister Qingcheng, I’m already downstairs at your company.”

Li Qingcheng replied to Lin Dong, ”Stinky little brother, wait for me a bit, I still have some things to take care of.”

Lin Dong sent her an ok emoji.

However, this wait turned out to be two whole hours.

Lin Dong, sitting in the car bored, took out his phone and played around for a bit.

He casually browsed the news and saw that the Internet was full of coverage about the upcoming Chinese Medicine and Eastern Medicine Competition in a few days.

The netizens’ comments were polarized.

Some believed our Traditional Chinese Medicine could win, but most felt that Traditional Chinese Medicine wouldn’t stand a chance.

”Honestly, although our Chinese Medicine has a longer history than Eastern Medicine, it’s useless if the inheritance gets lost. Many aspects were not passed down, while the Eastern Doctors, even though they have copied a lot from our Chinese Medicine, truly place more importance on it.”

”The successors have already surpassed us!”

”Your words are quite objective. Although the Eastern Doctors from Kimchi Country are annoying, it’s undeniable that their Eastern Medicine has now developed better than our Chinese Medicine. They are serious about applying for heritage status and going international. As for us, they are just after our money. I once believed in Chinese Medicine too, but after one visit, they coaxed me into buying thousands of Chinese medicine that had no effect.”

”The person above me, my situation was even worse. Sigh, I have dysmenorrhea. Then my mom took me to see a Traditional Chinese Folk Medicine doctor. I’ve been taking his prescriptions for two years, and it’s damaged my kidneys. Now I have kidney dysfunction, and I can’t even pass the civil service exams, wuwuwu...”

”Chinese Medicine is a treasure, but there are too few who truly master it. And this time, I heard that the person representing us in the competition against Eastern Medicine is just a young man. Only in his twenties, what can he do?”

”I guess Chinese Medicine wants to follow the Entertainment Circles, pushing a young and fresh meat to generate traffic. But don’t they know that this will backfire?”

”Honestly, if the elders of the Chinese medicine world were the ones to compete against Eastern Medicine, there might be a chance. Instead, they want to promote some young and fresh meat and go down the Online Celebrity route. Winning would be strange!”

”Sigh, it’s all broken. Like the National Football team, don’t get your hopes up...”

”...”

As Lin Dong scrolled through the netizens’ comments, he let out a deep sigh.

Honestly, after seeing these, he couldn’t blame the netizens.

What the netizens said was correct, Chinese Medicine is a treasure, but too few have truly mastered it.

And there were some who didn’t behave properly, using Chinese Medicine to amass wealth! Without even having read a few medical books, they started prescribing medicine and making sales, not only harming patients’ health but also ruining the reputation of Chinese Medicine.

Lin Dong was thoroughly disgusted with these people!

Should he encounter them, he would show no mercy!

”Although I don’t want to stand out and prefer to keep a low profile, this time, I have no choice but to step forward and win this Chinese Medicine versus Eastern Medicine Competition!”

”Only then can I restore our countrymen’s faith in Chinese Medicine. Let them know that our Dragon Country’s Chinese Medicine has never been surpassed by Eastern Medicine!”

”Let them know that our Chinese Medicine has never lost its inheritance.”

This battle could not be lost, it must be won!

He wanted to use this medical competition to lead a revival of Chinese Medicine.
