Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 650: A Branch of the Great Witch Project—Anti-Witch?

The Expansion Realm.

Calamity Shelter.

In the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree laboratory, the Witches were still busy.

Witches only looked leisurely, but they had many ways to help themselves work hard, and the Clone was one of the very important means.

Therefore, the Witch Clones here rarely had much rest.

As for whether their Main Bodies, who hadn’t come, were resting, only the Main Bodies would know.

Currently, in the laboratory, the image projected by the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree had nearly displayed the entire Expansion Realm, which meant that the complete map of the Expansion Realm had been acquired.

It was a dynamic image updated in real-time by the Plant Network, and even included the distribution map of life form density, and so on.

This also meant that the plan to plant Myriad Connection Main Network Trees across the world had been initially completed.

Some empty areas belonged to later-growing Main Network Trees whose Root System network had not yet successfully connected with the interconnected Root System network.

But before long, this entire area would be completely ”reclaimed” into an integral whole.

This was a massive world!

It would be difficult to achieve unification without resorting to some special means.

Currently, only the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree had achieved interconnection across the entire Expansion Realm by relying on the Plant Network, but this did not mean they were truly willing to submit to a unified civilizational consciousness.

After all, this Small World once had hundreds of countries.

Although many were small countries, the language system was the real barrier.

But even after experiencing a disaster, it didn’t mean they could truly unite.

According to the information relayed by my Clones, this mass transmigration caused the population to drop by half, and this was only an incomplete statistic.

Furthermore, before they were completely settled, the birth rate would plummet, and the death rate would decrease again, potentially leaving the population at less than one-third of the original.

This was merely a cold figure; the reality was far crueler.

Even my Clones sometimes could not save a group of people from disaster.

Success and failure have already accompanied the entire experience of most of my Clones.

However, the life and death of these individuals were not the focus of the Transcendent Witches.

They wouldn’t care about their individual survival but focused on the inheritance of civilization.

From a lifespan perspective, as long as they saw the Spark of Civilization, their traces would soon spread all over this world, as if the Transcendent Witches believed in their vitality much more than these human sparks of life.

Compared to these, the Witches were more concerned with the potential of the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree.

What potential?

Naturally, efficiency!

Nothing was more convenient and easy than the growth of plants.

It could help a civilization that had not been exposed to Modern Technology complete Modernization in the shortest possible time.

This included infrastructure laying that required no wasted manpower and material resources, and product production that only needed to guarantee the growth of plants.

It could be said that what the Expansion Realm was currently experiencing was a prelude to what the Core Realm was about to undergo.

What the Witches needed was a more efficient way to rebuild after the external civilization’s collapse.

During this time, besides monitoring the efficiency of the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree covering the Expansion Realm and the issues with Plant Network interconnection, they were also attempting to adapt the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree for development in many other fields.

The most important project among these was integrating it with the Academy Network.

The Academy Network was the network foundation of the Witch Academy, and it could not be completely replaced.

The sheer technique of harnessing Earth Vein Energy alone was something the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree could not substitute.

Earth Vein Energy, as the most widely used ”Non-physical Carrier” in experiments, would also never be replaced.

Furthermore, with the promotion of the Seed of Great Knowledge among the mentor group, the Earth Vein Appraisal Spell was widely used, and new applications for the Earth Vein Bearing Technique in the Academy Network were developed.

The Myriad Connection Main Network Tree was a product under the Great Tree of Knowledge system.

Even the Great Tree of Knowledge could not harness Earth Vein Energy and could only directly acquire Earth Vein Information.

It was even more impossible for the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree, which could only convert Earth Vein Energy into Earth Energy to be utilized.

So far, the performance of the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree had not overly disappointed the Witches, especially its Damage Self-healing Ability for the Root System network.

Even if an area suffered a devastating blow, and even the underground became scorched earth with the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree’s Root System network completely destroyed there, only a few spells were needed to perform Soil Reform on this area, and the Root System network would soon spread across this area again.

As for why we knew this so clearly… we naturally tested it in one area.

We conducted many such large-scale experiments; it’s just that most of them were unknown to others.

While busy in this laboratory, we also occasionally paid attention to the outside world’s movements.

For example, the first established Third Sanctuary, also known as the Aphrodite Sanctuary, where the Aphrodite Academy had already established a stable Teleportation Channel, and many Elf-related Transcendent Academies had also reached cooperation with the Aphrodite Academy to open a series of channels.

The Fourth Sanctuary belonged to the Wizard Academy.

When the Fourth Sanctuary was completed, it coincided with the time when Dream State Overlap was about to envelop them, so they quickly invited a Wizard Tower Keeper, who was a Transcendent Wizard, after building the sanctuary.

Subsequently, that Tower Keeper, along with several other Tower Keepers, mimicked the Witch Academy by establishing a temporary Wizard Tower within the Fourth Sanctuary, directly comparable to the Witch Academy’s Myriad Connection Main Network Tree laboratory.

Then, the Witch Academy went over for ”friendly” exchanges, not allowing them to genuinely come, but, like the Witch Academy, sending their own powerless Clones.

This was truly a case of the original alliance contract backfiring on them.

However, the Clones of the Wizard Academy were truly eye-opening for me.

For example, the Mechanical Clones sent by the Mechanical Faction, the Clones from the Flesh and Blood Transmutation Faction looked somewhat normal, but that was just the exterior; the interior did not have a normal human structure.

And some were directly Sorcery Gu Life Worm Clones, not even bothering to maintain a humanoid form, just a close-to-human shape.

Another example was the Vegetative Clone; the entire Clone was a ”vegetative person” woven from plants.

It was clear that this Transcendent Wizard had conducted extensive research on plants.

His arrival was mainly to help solve problems with Plant Technology development.

Of course, he himself was also very interested in Plant Technology, especially the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree.

I felt that seeing too many of these Clones would cause one’s sanity to drop… Looking back at the mentors’ Clones from the Witch Academy, it seems Witches truly placed a lot of importance on appearance.

However, the arrival of those Transcendent Wizards did solve some problems for the students.

They guided them in refining a special Sorcery Tool.

Although it couldn’t dispel Dream States, it could effectively dispel Dream State creatures.

However… this Sorcery Tool was refined under the guidance of students, similar to Mentor Elena teaching the Nightmare Spell.

Other Academies couldn’t really complain, especially since their Sanctuary also needed this kind of item to dispel Dream State creatures.

As for asking Teaching Assistant Xiao Han to dispel the Dream States for them once and for all?

Apologies, they couldn’t even find a trace of that Teaching Assistant!

So, they could only settle for this method.

The Fifth Sanctuary represented the Holy Angel Academy.

After they finished building it… no, while they were building it, they planned the location of the Holy Light Church within the Sanctuary.

In fact, the entire construction of the Sanctuary resembled a massive City of Pilgrimage!

And as expected, after completion, they began high-intensity proselytization… Honestly, it was not surprising at all.

Disaster, sanctuary, combined with proselytization.

These Holy Angel fellows were truly old-fashioned.

However, it must be said that Holy Light Churches all over the world in the Core Realm were currently busy clearing out the Descending Sect worldwide, but clearly, they didn’t want to give up the huge piece of meat that was the Expansion Realm either.

Furthermore, the Fifth Sanctuary advertised that for other Transcendent Academies who believed in Holy Light, the Holy Angel Academy would help them establish Teleportation Channels, stating that faith did not differentiate between Academies and such…

But clearly, there weren’t many small Transcendent Academies that were fooled.

The first few Academies to join were those that were originally inclined towards the Holy Angel.

The Holy Angel Academy naturally made this offer because they seized the fact that only they offered an open platform to other Academies among the three Sanctuaries.

The Wizard Academy preferred to monopolize, and the Aphrodite Academy only played with fellow Elf Academies.

A large category of Academies in the Main World did not have this capability.

That was the Beast Academy.

There were far too many Beast Academies.

Although none were top-tier, the Transcendent Academies that could be categorized as Beast Academies were not too weak.

Even the seemingly delicate Cat-person Academy had strength, at least much stronger than those small Transcendent Academies.

But the little schemes of the Holy Angel were quickly shattered by the Second Shelter.

The administrators of the Second Shelter were willing to temporarily open Teleportation Channels to help them complete the construction of the Sixth Beast Academy Shelter…

This was naturally not free.

But compared to being controlled by others, they also had to pay a certain price, but the Holy Angel group would definitely skin them alive if they dealt with them.

Beast Academies were indeed individuals whose muscles grew into their brains, but that didn’t mean they were all fools; they naturally understood the importance of this matter.

Currently, in the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree laboratory.

“Oh, by the way, I’m curious to ask. Academy Head Mei suddenly contacted my Main Body through the Great Knowledge Sharing Technique a while ago, telling me to be careful. Big Sis Agnes, do you know what the situation is?”

During a break from the current busyness, I happened to run into Big Sis Agnes, who was about to take a rest.

So, I asked her.

“Academy Head Mei contacted you?”

Agnes was also a little surprised.

“Why are you suddenly asking me? It should be your private matter; how could I possibly know?”

“Uh… it shouldn’t count as a private matter? Big Sis Mei told me to be careful for a while, saying some formidable people came to the Main World, and then she hung up before I could ask.”

“Formidable people?”

Agnes raised an eyebrow, somewhat interested.

“You didn’t get a chance to ask?”

“Well… Big Sis Mei didn’t reply to me, but after a while, she sent me a message, saying the matter had been resolved and to pretend nothing happened… She didn’t say what it was, just aroused my curiosity. How could I pretend nothing happened?”

“Since she said it’s resolved, then chances are you don’t need to worry about it… but Mei’s actions indeed…”

“What are you two talking about?”

“Big Sis Naideng, we’re talking about Academy Head Mei suddenly contacting me a while ago, talking about being careful and such. Big Sis Naideng, do you know if anything major happened in the Main World recently? Regarding which important figure came to the Main World?”

“Be careful… important figure? This sounds like that matter… No, did that blabbermouth Mei Linde even mention this to you?”

Big Sis Naideng pondered for a moment, then said helplessly.

“Did something really happen?”

I was also a little shocked, as I was only asking this on a whim.

“It seems she didn’t explain it to you?”

Seeing my clueless look, Naideng roughly understood the situation.

“No… Big Sis Mei didn’t tell me. She just told me she had dealt with the other party and similar remarks. Big Sis Naideng Can you please tell me.”

I asked in a pleading tone.

“It’s fine. I also roughly know what it is. There’s no problem in telling Xiao Han in advance.”

Agnes also spoke up, supporting her forehead, sensing what the issue might be.

“Then I’ll tell you…”

Naideng nodded helplessly and said, “But… Xiao Han, you are not a Transcendent Witch yet. There’s actually no need for you to know about beings of that level. They usually only target Transcendent Witches.”

“Really? I heard Big Sis Mei also mentioned knowing my deeds and such…”

“Well… this time, it probably is related to Xiao Han…”

After I finished speaking, Agnes also said, supporting her forehead.

“So what is it exactly?”

I looked at the two ”Riddle Witches,” feeling the pain of not getting to the point…

“Xiao Han, do you know what the essential project is for advancing to a Transcendent Witch?”

“Uh… the Great Witch Project?”

I knew about this.

“Yes, the Great Witch Project is the key to advancing to a Transcendent Witch. If you ask a member of a general species how to distinguish whether a life form is their kin, they might answer by checking if it’s the same species, the same sequence bloodline, and so on.”

“But if you ask a Witch this question, the Witch will add the Great Witch Project on top of that foundation. In fact, the Great Witch Project includes many branches, such as fine divisions like species, bloodline, physique, Magic Power, and so on. This is the absolute embodiment of the sense of kin identity among the Witch race.”

“So…”

I interjected.

Although I didn’t know why Big Sis Naideng was talking to me about the Great Witch Project, I guessed it was to make the subsequent explanation easier for me to understand.

“So what I want to tell you is that there is a very rebellious branch project within the Great Witch Project, called the Anti-Witch Project. It represents rebellious individuals within the species’ tolerance, but the Primal Witch still recognized this branch project, believing it to be an indispensable factor for the Witch race to remain active.”

“Ah?”

Hearing this concept, my eyes widened slightly.

Was the Primal Witch that tolerant?

“Don’t be surprised. There is even a Truth Witch within the Anti-Witch Project, and this Truth Witch has a solid group of followers.”

“Ah? A Truth Witch too?!”

“Of course. Truth Witch doesn’t necessarily mean strength; it depends on what that person did and whether it was widely recognized… but let’s not dwell on that for now. We are talking about a different situation now.”

Naideng patiently began to explain to me.

“The original Anti-Witches were actually a widely accepted group. Although they did bring a lot of trouble to the Witch race, they also stimulated the vitality of the Witch race. This continued until Witches who deviated from the project appeared within the Anti-Witch group. They distorted the interpretation of the project and embarked on a path of no return.”

“The Anti-Witch group originally had their own pursuits and bottom line. They targeted the Witch race but did not cross the Witch bottom line, which was malicious killing between Witches. But those Witches who misinterpreted the project and went astray crossed that bottom line and became traitors to the Witch race, and the Primal Witch removed those traitors from the list.”

“Just removed?”

I felt somewhat incredulous.

“Yes, the Primal Witch had the power to crush them, but she didn’t. Instead, she handed them over to the other Witches, precisely to make the long-comfortable Witches feel a sense of crisis. This aligned with the initial intention of the Anti-Witch Project, even if their individual paths went wrong. The Primal Witch didn’t mind using their lives to illustrate the importance of the Anti-Witch Project’s path.”

“So… I was targeted by an Anti-Witch?”

I asked.

“Mm, according to the information I gathered, it was a Traitor Anti-Witch… because you are now a Lesser Witch, who could advance to a Transcendent Witch at any time. Moreover, you alone control two Grand Spellbooks, possess a Domain Prototype without advancing to Transcendent, and even master the technique of Void Communication. Given your talent, who knows how high you will grow in the future… so… you understand, right?”

“Wow… from the Anti-Witch’s perspective… I feel like I totally deserve to die…”
