Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 603: An Inspiration Full of Ambition—The Myriad Spell Bookshelf

”Looks like it succeeded.”

I spoke to myself, putting a perfect period to what I was doing at this moment.

The new Myriad Connection Main Network Tree needs time to grow, and this time is far longer than the re-sprouting seed that was condensed.

Subsequently, I turned sideways to look at the mentors of the Witch Academy hidden in the space on the other side and smiled slightly, which could be considered thanking them for their ”guarding.”

After all, they didn’t choose to come out, so I naturally couldn’t thank them with great fanfare.

However, I did receive many questions originating from the information sharing on the Great Tree of Knowledge.

They were also very curious about what exactly I had created.

Actually, if I were asked to create something like the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree from scratch, I really couldn’t have done it.

Yes, couldn’t do it, not just spend a little more time.

The new Myriad Connection Main Network Tree can be seen to have many traces of the original.

Without the groundwork of this civilization, I might have had to realize the current idea in other ways later.

After all, others helped me build the basic framework, and I also chose to accept the internal data.

Coupled with my own understanding and mastered means, I finally completed such a work.

Perhaps the current form of the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree is not the best choice to achieve my goal, but it is the most suitable choice within my reach.

Regarding the function of the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree, I naturally won’t hide it from the Big Sis Witches of the Witch Academy.

Even what I want to do with the help of the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree, I won’t hide either.

If relying solely on myself, completing this vision would still be too tiring.

Still the same sentence: for things others can do on your behalf, there’s no need to waste your precious time.

Figure out what must be grasped in your own hands and what can be shared, then life will become very easy.

After completing the organization and sharing of information, my mood was quite good at this moment.

Spreading out my mental strength, I discovered that not far away, the crowd that previously relied on the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree to build a shelter was still there.

Clearly, I had already lifted the restrictions of the domain, and they could have run out, but they didn’t choose to leave.

I turned sideways to glance at the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree, then a streak of Power of Knowledge drifted over, surrounding its periphery.

The next moment, my figure disappeared from here and appeared beside that group of people.

”Very surprising, you didn’t choose to leave?”

I looked at the crowd here and finally spoke.

Upon seeing me, they shrank back subconsciously, but eventually, a few stepped forward to protect the crowd behind them.

”Lady Calamity Witch... didn’t know you would suddenly arrive...”

”I’m done with my business. If you want to go back to the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree to continue establishing the shelter, I won’t stop you.”

I continued to speak.

But my gaze was already on the few people standing at the very front.

These few looked familiar; they seemed to be among the seven I encountered for the first time back then.

The place where they are now is a bit far from the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree, a place relatively close to a water source.

”Yes, we understand. Thank you for your mercy.”

The tone of the speaker was very humble.

If they were still somewhat unconvinced before, then after experiencing the past day or two, they found that they really didn’t have a shred of ability to resist.

With that kind of power, saying crushing them to death is indeed easy.

But from their perspective, I asked them to go back... even if I just said I wouldn’t stop them, they must go back, even if that Myriad Connection Main Network Tree had withered and collapsed.

”Just now, I had quite a harvest. If you go back to the original place to build the shelter, I can lend you a hand, because I’m in a pretty good mood right now.”

Seeing them like this, I didn’t correct them.

Instead of telling them not to be too afraid of me, it’s better to keep it as is.

At least if they fear me, they won’t bring me too much trouble.

After all, if I want the other party not to fear me, then I have to lower my status to be equal with them.

Mutual respect is the basic premise for equal coexistence.

If I tell them not to fear me, but then later want them to listen to me, isn’t that a double standard?

So instead of wasting that effort, better maintain the status quo.

At least they can still listen to me.

Just like now, hearing my words saying I would help them, their eyes lit up instantly.

Especially hearing the untenable reason that I was in a good mood made them even more convinced.

Or rather, they had no other choice at this moment.

Facing an existence like me, even just refusing good intentions might displease the other party.

In their view, the Calamity Witch can help them because she is in a good mood over things they cannot know, so she might also exterminate them all in anger because they refused her good intentions!

Have to say, there are still people with good brains among this group.

With just a suggestion from me, they set off again.

However, they still have quite a few wounded, children, and elderly, so they can’t walk too fast.

And my Spatial Teleportation Spell cannot teleport them on such a large scale, so I chose to go back with them.

Although this wasted a little time, I didn’t mind.

Watching them cast aside prejudice and barriers to help each other is indeed a kind of joy.

And in this atmosphere, I also reflected that the distance between me and ordinary people is getting further and further.

However... I would also go up at this time to help treat some injured people.

Applying both kindness and severity... after all, there are things for them to do later.

Of course, the more people who can move now, the faster they can help each other return to the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree together.

As for their words of gratitude, I just ignored them directly, because it wasn’t necessary.

Until they arrived at the original shelter, looking at the huge Main Network Tree that had already collapsed, they were also horrified.

What kind of power could make such a flourishing giant tree wither to this extent in just a day or two, and collapse as if torn apart?

Looking at the trees crushed by the collapsed branches, if such things fell on them, there would simply be no chance of survival.

Subsequently, their gazes were placed on that Myriad Connection Main Network Tree that should have been severed.

They saw a new tree growing at a speed visible to the naked eye on the broken stump.

The new leaves sprouting were so full of vitality, without a trace of time.

”Un, the original place is damaged a lot. It can be rebuilt after cleaning up.” I said.

”I... I will organize manpower to clean this place up right away.”

Hearing my words, someone immediately spoke up from the side.

”No need. Who knows how long it would take for you guys to do it.”

I spoke and stopped them directly.

For dealing with the debris here, spells are still the most convenient and concise, especially for me who possesses extremely diverse derivative spells.

When I spoke to stop them, they also turned around somewhat confused, not knowing what I was going to do.

But as they heard a snap of fingers, the originally slight forest wind suddenly became hurried.

Immediately after, an invisible storm passed by everyone.

The gale rolled up the fallen leaves and weeds on the ground, and all debris that could be blown, taking them into the air, tearing and destroying them in the most explosive way.

Everything happened so fast.

And this is just a very ordinary Wind Pressure Spell.

Plus a certain degree of precise control, taking the debris rolled up by the wind into the sky, then borrowing its derivative spell, Gale Tearing, and then letting the wind take these fine debris far away to wait for natural degradation.

And on the earth, Earth Movement Spell and Earth Spike Spell derived soil renovation were used to detach weeds, shrubs, and everything else from the soil, letting the Wind Pressure Spell take them away.

Finally, earth system derivative spells incidentally organized and compacted the ground.

This big commotion really startled these people.

However... seeing that they weren’t hurt, they also calmed down quickly.

But seeing these scenes they had never witnessed in their lives gave them a new understanding of the power I mastered.

After all... pure destruction by power and harnessing power to do what one wants to do are two different things.

And this is also one of my ways of understanding the meaning of basic spell derivation.

Even many lesser spells can do more magical things.

Perhaps this is the meaning of the existence of lesser spells.

With everything around cleaned up like crushing dry weeds and smashing rotten wood, everyone looked at me, not knowing what to do for a moment.

After all, I got everything done without needing their effort, making them seem very useless.

But I didn’t think so.

I came to the few people whose words carried some weight, waved my hand casually, and an image of the Great Tree of Knowledge appeared in front of them.

This is the surveying and 3D modeling of the surrounding topographical map completed by the Earth Vein Appraisal Spell, which is our current location.

”This is where we are now. Your shelter will also be built here. I will use spells to help you complete the most basic construction. At least I can ensure you won’t just rely on tree trunks to spend the night tonight. I only have one request. That original Myriad Connection Main Network Tree is destroyed. Regarding that new tree on it, don’t touch it. Even if you die, your corpses are not allowed to cross the area circled by my power, understand?”

”Understood, understood!”

They nodded hurriedly, afraid that nodding late would make them become corpses as in my words.

”I’ve finished telling you what to watch out for. Now let me discuss the construction of the shelter with you.”

Immediately, I softened my tone and said.

”Lady Calamity Witch, we don’t ask for an overly luxurious shelter, just enough for us to spend the night...”

”Don’t need you to do it, yet you’re being picky.”

I chuckled lightly, but my casualness didn’t make them feel relaxed.

”Sorry... we...”

”Don’t be busy apologizing. Look at this. Is it enough to build the shelter temporarily like this?”

I pushed the spell imaging in front of them.

Brand new creations appeared on the stereoscopic imaging map of the original terrain.

They looked at the scene before their eyes, their eyes full of shock.

They naturally recognized that this imaging was where they were now, but a large creation resembling a walled village appeared in the originally empty place.

Originally, they thought of building some sheds using local materials for the shelter to avoid getting sick from the night wind, but this... although very primitive compared to those modern skyscrapers, it was much better than they expected.

And I naturally wasn’t surprised by this.

My goal was to let these people settle down here.

Using local materials is naturally done however is convenient.

Currently, there are roughly three kinds of materials available: soil, stones, and plants.

I am not a master architect, nor can I design a whole set of buildings adapted to local conditions based on the existing terrain in such a short time.

This was naturally referenced.

If talking about building a structure suitable for small groups to survive in the forest, then the Forest Elf race has the most say.

However, my Great Tree of Knowledge didn’t synchronize the information of that Forest Elf Transcendent Academy, so all I could adopt were the introduction about Forest Elves in the Witch Academy library, and basic information related to architecture.

Subsequently, generated through the management of the Shadow of Knowledge based on this knowledge, it became like this.

Moreover, the things used in this forest walled village can be seen everywhere.

Derivative spells of earth system spells like Stone Transformation Spell, Wall Creation Spell, and derivative spells of wood system Vine Spell like Plant Weaving, etc.

These spells come easily to me.

As long as I advance to a Transcendent Witch and learn True Editing technology, these derivative spells I master can completely break away from the original prototype spellbook framework and become independent spellbooks.

Hard to believe how terrifying the spellbooks I master will be at that time.

And precisely because of this, a spellbook very important to me but always ignored by me was valued by me again.

Spellbook Shelf Spellbook.

This spellbook with a rather awkward name given to me by Ji Niang.

Back then, I swallowed the big picture painted by Teacher Ji Niang in one gulp, using those resources obtained from the competition that I didn’t need, in exchange for such a High Consumption Spellbook useless to others.

But this spellbook helped me a big favor later.

If not for this, then after severing the Earth Vein Chains, I wouldn’t have convenient means to use spellbooks.

Although the Academy Head definitely has backup plans, it definitely isn’t as convenient as this spellbook.

After I understood the concept of ”thoroughly mastering spellbooks,” I understood that even Transcendent Witches cannot completely master the spellbooks they possess.

Not that they can’t, but it’s not worth it.

Precisely because it’s not worth it, there are trade-offs with spellbooks, and this is also a problem I need to consider in the future.

One thing is certain: I won’t discard these spellbooks.

Then... this requires a more proper way to place them.

I don’t know in what way those spellbooks exist in the bodies of Transcendent Witches when they don’t use means like the Spellbook Shelf Spellbook, but what is certain is that Transcendent Witches definitely have other methods.

So the Spellbook Shelf Spellbook is probably an optional existence for Transcendent Witches.

But I still remember what Teacher Ji Niang told me.

The preciousness of this spellbook lies in its derivative spells.

Regardless of whether Teacher Ji Niang was stating facts or deceiving me, it doesn’t matter now.

Because... I already have a lot of inspiration for this spellbook, or rather, I always had ideas in this regard before, it’s just that this matter wasn’t necessary, so it dragged on until now.

And as my control over Transcendent power becomes deeper and deeper, that inspiration becomes more concrete... Perhaps the Spellbook Shelf Spellbook can also be incorporated into the system of the Great Tree of Knowledge.

Bold hypothesis, rigorous attempt.

And I also chose a name full of ambition for the inspiration of this derivative spell—Myriad Spell Bookshelf.
