Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 614: Infinite Possibilities of Mental Realm Domain and Dream Overlap

After leaving Ninglan Township Fortress, I prepared to rush out of the city without stopping.

As for the plan to see Sofili when I have time, as promised earlier... let’s shelve it for now.

Anyway, the important things have already been entrusted to Dongli Yiren to deliver.

After visiting the Seed Bank, maybe I can bring her some brand new plant seeds.

Out of the city.

I plan to ride the broom directly according to the map display.

After all, along the way, I can also see a different Expansion Realm, far more magnificent than those stereoscopic imaging maps in the Great Tree of Knowledge.

However, going straight there, I will encounter a trouble, that is, I will pass through an area of dream overlap.

Currently, in the Expansion Realm, areas of dream overlap are no longer rare.

Those Dream Creatures occasionally follow high-concentration Soul Crystals and appear somewhere, then set off a dream descent overlapping with reality.

And this overlapping space doesn’t diffuse outward in a regular circle.

Sometimes it is affected by factors like energy density, Dream Creatures, etc., faster or slower, making the spreading shape somewhat irregular.

Flying while strolling, if I encountered some interesting plants on the ground, I would come down to pick some, then eat them seeking new sensory cultivation.

Before I knew it, I arrived at the dream overlap area.

After entering this area, I felt the overlap of dream and reality.

Having created the Nightmare Spell, I naturally sensed a trace of something wrong.

Plus those Nightmare Spellbooks given back to me by those mentors, if I want to mod or derive the Nightmare Spell now, it will be more convenient, because the ”spellbook” is a ”platform” for spell modification and derivation.

I can freely traverse between reality and dream, even split my mind to let the real body and dream consciousness exist simultaneously.

Any fancy tricks, whether in dream or reality, I can teach the other party a lesson.

And my arrival didn’t seem to attract any Dream Creatures immediately.

According to them, it’s easy to encounter Dream Creatures in dream overlap areas, so many students are unwilling to come to this area.

Even with the Nightmare Spell as a safety net, being entangled by Dream Creatures is still a very annoying thing.

Moreover, I also discovered that here, the Dream Rewrite Spell really can’t be used anymore.

Considered... expected.

After all, the Dream Rewrite Spell is based on the dream establishing an information acquisition channel with reality, letting the dream generate scenes exactly the same as reality.

The Dream Rewrite Spell is to intercept this information channel, connect one’s own memory cognition information, replace reality environment information, achieving the subjective effect of ”wishes coming true”.

Without some powerful Spirit Vision, one might not even learn this spell, or rather... understand this spell.

But now, this overlapping dream seems to have no ability to simulate the reality environment, but is a void.

Everything seen is the scene of reality.

Just trying simply, I knew the Dream Rewrite Spell was useless.

Although somewhat regrettable, I was prepared.

Before discovering more simple and easy-to-understand laws, I don’t have extra time and interest to observe the laws that can be utilized in the dream now.

After all, just passing by, incidentally trying some previous means.

Just as I was preparing to cross this dream overlap area, I was suddenly surrounded by a group of Dream Creatures.

Dream Creatures don’t have specific forms.

Overall, they look like a fog without a sense of boundary.

This seems to be the second type of Dream Creature I encountered besides Fool’s Dream, right?

The Nightmare encountered before belongs to a part of Fool’s Dream, while Nightmare Demons are Abyssal Demons.

They don’t count as pure Dream Creatures because they have a material foundation in reality.

At least Dream Creatures cannot appear in reality possessing a tangible body.

But they can pull people’s consciousness from reality into the dream.

Although somewhat different from the entanglement consciousness pulling of Nightmares, this method is indeed very magical.

Now, the few Dream Creatures I encountered total about... eight.

Looks like Dream Creatures also like to appear in groups.

Just as they launched an attack on me without knowing the immensity of heaven and earth, I slapped the Dream Creature attacking me away with a backhand slap.

However, after slapping that Dream Creature away, I also discovered a fact.

After consciousness enters the dream, the consciousness body actually retains its own Magic Power Source and spellbook!

I tried slightly, and could still hand-rub spells in the dream.

Logically speaking, since the dream lost the ability to reflect reality, after consciousness enters the dream, external objects like spellbooks and Magic Power Sources shouldn’t exist anymore.

Even oneself in the dream shouldn’t be the same as oneself, but ”a mass of consciousness”.

Suddenly, I seemed to have thought of something.

Dream overlap!

What is overlap?

Only when a relationship is generated will overlap occur.

Otherwise, dream and reality are two layers that don’t interfere with each other.

Just like in reality, without the help of the Witch Meditation Method, one cannot touch the Primal Dream State either.

Last time, dream and reality had a strong relationship.

But with this Expansion Realm repair, the dream overlaps again, and the relationship between dream and reality became weaker, so the ”channel” obtaining information from reality was cut off.

The relationship between the two is gradually becoming normal parallel lines.

It’s just that now it’s a relationship where dream and reality are picked up again.

To use a metaphor, it’s like two parallel lines vibrating now because of ”powerful external force.”

The two waves formed became the dream overlap area after overlapping.

When the aftermath subsides, reality and dream will return to the state of parallel lines without interfering with each other.

These two lines stopping vibration takes time, and returning to parallel also takes time.

”So the dream space still reflects reality information to a limited extent, and this limit is anchored by consciousness... Then... what about my domain order?”

At this time, I suddenly had such an idea, and this is worth trying!

However, at this moment, the Dream Creature slapped by me didn’t give me more time to think.

They swarmed towards me angrily but crashed head-on into my Mental Realm Domain.

After intruding into my domain, they seemed to suddenly fall into a quagmire.

Realizing the danger, they instinctively started to escape.

”Sure enough, the domain is indeed power transcending spells.”

Seeing the effect of the Mental Realm Domain, I couldn’t help but sigh.

If using general spells in the dream, for example, using Fireball, then in the dream, it is ”Dream Fireball,” because its essence from casting to consumption, except for the constructed spell ritual being correct, the rest is ”dream essence.”

But the domain is different.

The domain reshapes order, breaking dream essence.

The Mental Realm Domain is still my power, not power within the dream, equivalent to ”power outside the dream” affecting the dream!

But the reshaped order is still dream order.

Just like I used my own power to interfere with the dream, thereby controlling power within the dream to cause a dream strike.

This is different from obeying dream laws and borrowing dream rules to cast a dream strike.

These two are different in level.

Laws still have to be followed.

If I want to hit a Dream Creature, I have to use the power of the dream to hit it.

If reality power can’t hit, then it can’t hit.

But the Mental Realm Domain can reshape dream order.

Utilizing dream order can hit Dream Creatures.

”A bit interesting...”

I muttered to myself.

Clearly just tried once, but I roughly inferred these laws.

Laws must be obeyed.

After all, I didn’t leverage the power of the entire Primal Dream State.

If the order I reshaped can affect the dream, then more complexly... can my domain affect the relationship of overlap between dream and reality?

If I can intensify this relationship between dream and reality, can I shape an environment applicable to the Dream Rewrite Spell within the domain?

Thinking conversely, if this can be realized, can my domain ”soothe” the relationship between dream and reality, achieving the effect of dispelling the dream overlap area?

Thinking of this... I suddenly discovered a very terrifying thing.

If this kind of thing can be done... then wouldn’t I be able to pull a piece of reality area into the state of dream overlap at any time, use the Nightmare Spell to pull the opponent into the dream, and defeat them using rich Dream Rewrite Spell experience?

Even using means like Nightmare Spell, Sealing Spell, etc., to exile the opponent’s consciousness into the dream, then restore the relationship between reality and dream to normal...

This... can this really be done?

If just the domain prototype can do such a thing... then those Transcendent Witches mastering complete domain power... aren’t they even more terrifying?

Thinking of this, I swallowed subconsciously.

But the excited heart made me unable to calm down!

I reached out my hand.

The order of the Mental Realm Domain began to attempt my idea.

But after really trying, I found it somewhat difficult.

I don’t know how to use order to affect the dream... Do I have to shake it with pure power relying on brute force?

But borrowing the greatest order to reshape the dream seems not to have caused any changes in the dream as I expected...

”No... won’t happen. Consciousness can serve as an anchor mapping reality’s spellbook... Magic Power Source, even the entire body... So this anchoring must have a range...”

Excessive attempts made me look somewhat wretched now, but ultimately there was no gratifying harvest, so I am forcing myself to calm down and reflect now.

If it really can’t be done... then I’ll temporarily put down this idea.

Can’t let time be wasted here meaninglessly like this.

So... I need to do one thing now.

That is to confirm whether my idea is correct.

Perhaps my train of thought is correct, but my domain cannot shake such a big dream.

Even if there is only a tiny bit of ”change,” that is enough to prove my train of thought is correct.

What’s lacking is just ”power.”

Breaking through from 0 to 1 is the most critical thing.

At this moment, I calmed down, feeling the distance my consciousness anchored in the dream can map reality.

Then the power of the Mental Realm Domain concentrated around my body.

I only want to gather all domain order now.

I want to try to leverage the relationship between dream and reality!

Yes, my domain indeed cannot leverage any point of the dream or reality.

The only thing mastered is ”reshaping” and ”order.”

If my conjectured parallel line theory and model of dream and reality are ”correct,” then what I need to find now is the ”force” to ”interfere” with parallel lines.

I don’t need to leverage any side, dream or reality.

I just hope to interfere with the relationship between the two.

The only pity is... the information regarding dreams in my Great Tree of Knowledge is too little, nearly no relevant information, only some popular science readings related to it, and some common sense information.

Most of this information was unintentionally shared with me by Transcendent Mentors.

And regarding the reality level, I understand more about... space.

Perhaps reality is a breakthrough point, but information regarding space... is too complicated, making me somewhat at a loss where to start.

But regarding the dream, my domain order still hasn’t stopped trying.

The manifestation of order, Power of Knowledge, is about to submerge my body, but still not enough.

”Wait... this...”

This wasn’t me speaking, but the Shadow of Knowledge.

”What?”

”The Great Tree of Knowledge obtained new knowledge, flashing by. The source is... Power of Knowledge. Very magical. Generally, knowledge supports the deduction of Power of Knowledge, but just in that instant, Power of Knowledge deduced a brand new knowledge system based on known knowledge!”

”What?”

Hearing the Shadow of Knowledge’s statement, I also got energized, ”What does this mean?”

”What, with me, your brain stops moving?”

The Shadow of Knowledge rolled her eyes at me.

After all, the Shadow of Knowledge belongs to my subconscious.

If the Shadow of Knowledge knows, then I must know too.

”Mental Realm Domain reshaped dream order, obtained new revelation from dream order, right?”

I inquired.

”Revelation... inaccurate. It’s promotion! Relying on basics to deduce a higher-level knowledge system. This is the most common knowledge promotion, and this also represents...”

”Represents that my order touched a certain essence of the dream!”

I affirmed.

”Essence? Essence is definitely wrong! Idiot, but this definitely learned something.”

The Shadow of Knowledge dragged out a streak of Power of Knowledge, deducing a piece of information on it, ”Understand?”

”Understand... but seem not to understand...”

”Then try it with this Power of Knowledge using brute force.”

”Okay.”

I also nodded and didn’t hesitate anymore.

Power of Knowledge stagnated suddenly.

The original knowledge deduction transformed directly into the deduction of this knowledge, whether unfolding or deriving, or just pure explanation and translation, etc.

”This seems somewhat useful... The dream was interfered with, but can be ignored.”

”Is there?”

”This is theoretical numerical fluctuation obtained combining Floating World Spirit Vision and Earth Vein Appraisal Spell. Could also be error or... cyclical fluctuation of the dream... cyclical fluctuation... Wait, try forming resonance with domain order using different frequencies!”

”Resonance? Try...”

I also nodded and tried directly, devoting myself wholeheartedly to reshaping order around the body, conducting cyclical resonance...

And the observation of dream changes is all handed over to the Shadow of Knowledge.

”Interesting... really fluctuating! Not error! You did it!”

”Really!”

I opened my eyes, watching everything in the surrounding dream produce a trace of fluctuation visible to the naked eye, but this fluctuation is even only between millimeters...

But this represents success!

And success represents being able to continue optimizing, and I just need to constantly become stronger, increase power...

”Idiot, only thinking about increasing power? Technique, laws, and the analysis of that Power of Knowledge, which one isn’t a key factor to leverage it?”

Power of Knowledge criticized me without hesitation at this moment.

And I didn’t refute.

Indeed, too excited just now, thoughts affected by emotions.

It’s really hard to improve my domain power now, but perfecting this kind of technique, researching resonance, dream laws, and even the analysis of that Power of Knowledge, these are the directions I can realize in a short time!

”Is this the sense of achievement of finding a train of thought facing difficulties? Really addictive...”

At this moment, I dispersed the power of the domain.

Having a train of thought, everything is easy to say.

Striking while the iron is hot isn’t needed for me.

The outburst of inspiration and breakthrough of train of thought have already been recorded by me.

Better go to the Seed Bank first.

That is also an area overlapped by dreams.

I want to go there to conduct tests seeing other dreams.

Cannot be limited by the dream here.

After all, what I need is ”universal,” not ”special case.”

The choice of path is really important.

I don’t hope to be excited for nothing.
