Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 621: The Chaotic Status Quo of the Main World

Witch Academy.

Because of the opening of the Expansion Realm, for a time, many upper-grade students surged in, preparing to develop this untouched blue ocean to secure assistance for their future.

But soon many realized that after arriving there, it was not a blue ocean for anyone to develop, but working for others.

Even organizing a small group would be crushed by the efficiency of those people.

Gradually, this trend also stabilized.

Of course, more people sobered up, no longer acting so blindly.

Capable people took positions suitable for themselves, and incapable people returned to the Witch Academy.

After all... studying with mentors in the Witch Academy is not bad, is it?

The same goes for lower-grade students.

After all, if even the courses they are taking cannot be studied in advance to obtain course exemption.

Such a learning efficiency will only harm her if she self-studies.

But compared to the boredom of last semester, the course arrangements this semester will become interesting.

Why?

Because of the Witch Academy’s own reasons, other Transcendent Academies are including the Witch Academy in their activities again.

In the past, the Witch Academy was the most heavily isolated one.

Although the Witch Academy maintained that its own strength was powerful, precisely because of this, students of the Witch Academy lacked opportunities to exchange with other academies.

Without opportunities to exchange and spar with other students, they could not experience the diversity of power systems.

Coupled with the almost difficulty-free acquisition of power like Magic Power Source and spellbooks, they were unable to acquire sufficient combat experience.

Direct power crushing even made them lose combat thinking.

These flaws are subtle and not noticeable at first glance.

Contact with other academies still resulted in simple crushing by top students, maintaining a false ”prosperity.”

Victory was the last fig leaf of the Witch Academy.

In terms of Transcendent academic research, the Wizard Academy is uniquely the highest, because wizards do not have the bloodline of those Transcendent races, do not have innate talent.

Every bit of power they master is obtained through continuous rigorous study.

In terms of practical combat skills, the Aphrodite Academy is uniquely the strongest.

They have the most vast Elf Forest Hunting Ground in the Main World.

Reaction, insight, technique, weapon usage, Elf Magic.

These are like memories integrated into the bloodline, constantly being remembered by the body as their power strengthens.

Even those Beastman Academies are only behind Aphrodite Academy in terms of bloodline and talent, but their daily training is more savage and reckless.

What the Holy Angel Academy is best at is naturally faith and meditation.

The Holy Angel Academy is the most special.

Their cathedrals are spread all over the Main World, and so are their believers.

The families of Ascetics fostered by this are countless, and their spiritual faith is indestructible.

It can be said that the students of the Holy Angel Academy were screened before even enrolling.

The true Ascetic fostered by their faith is an all-round self-disciplined perfect person.

Even if abducted into other academies, most people disciplined by faith will still claim to be Ascetics.

Facing such Three Great Top-tier Academies, the witches all accepted the challenges one by one, but this doesn’t mean the Witch Academy handled it with ease.

The Three Great Top-tier Academies all demand students work hard because they know effort and practice are the only paths to progress.

But in the Witch Academy, it is not so.

It is as if all the pressure is shouldered by the witches themselves, while the students only enjoy.

Witch Meditation Method, the most powerful method for honing mental strength in the Main World, using the Primal Dream State to hone mental strength.

But not too many people specialize in this.

Even though the first lesson upon enrolling is learning this Witch Meditation Method, too many people lack the cognition that ”foundation is the most important.”

Primal Dream Pods, Witch’s Secret Realms.

The Witch Academy has too many trial grounds to provide training venues for students.

But the current Witch’s Secret Realm has become a place for obtaining rewards.

Secret Realms without rewards almost become abandoned secret realms and even require specialized clubs to operate.

As for the Witch Academy’s academic research... In the fourth year of the Witch Academy, every student is allocated a mentor to guide their study.

This is not a question of whether the mentor teaches or not, but a question of whether the opportunity is given or not.

The willingness to learn is the attitude a student should have.

The sentence ”the mentor is unwilling to teach” is a lie.

People who genuinely want to learn will continuously learn even if they switch mentors.

In the Wizard Towers of the Wizard Academy, those Wizard Apprentices do not have the normal teacher-student relationship with Transcendent Mentors as in the Witch Academy.

They are more in a coolie and slave owner relationship.

Even copying some research drafts for the apprentice is a kind of grace.

Sometimes, being too good to students is really not good.

This is the sentiment expressed by many Transcendent Witches in the Witch Academy after understanding these comparisons.

But with other academies deepening their cooperation with the Witch Academy, many matters seem to have been solved.

For example, for lower-grade students, they bid farewell to the boring written monthly exams of last semester.

Coupled with some teaching reforms, it became easier for them to access Magic Power Sources and spellbooks.

But under the academy’s regulation, they can only obtain spellbooks with double-digit consumption at most.

After all, mastering overly powerful strength too early is merely pulling up seedlings to help them grow for students lacking honing.

But... if one truly has the capability to obtain High Consumption Spellbooks, the academy won’t stop them, because this is a reward obtained in compliance with their own ability.

The academy only prevents incapable people from obtaining power that does not match their own.

Because this is a real waste of resources.

Of course, controlling students’ mastery of high-intensity power is also to interfere with the balance of combat power.

Since other academies are including the Witch Academy in their activities, real combat exchanges between students will naturally become frequent.

For example, the monthly exam for current lower-grade students has been simplified from the original cumbersome written test to a comprehensive written test and a real combat exchange competition, exchanging with other academies.

Going to the Hunting Ground Forest of Aphrodite Academy for hunting contests to hone their combat techniques.

Going to the Wizard Academy to challenge the monster tower created by wizards to experience pure combat.

Or going to the Holy Angel Academy for Holy Light trials, competing in mental strength and willpower.

These plans have been incorporated into the arrangements for this brand new semester.

It can be said that this batch of newcomers happened to catch up with the best era, and also the worst era.

They will watch themselves widen the gap with their seniors amidst the changes, but they are also test subjects, continuously pioneering the correct path for the new generation that follows.

And while the Witch Academy is undergoing changes, the outside world of the academy is also experiencing huge changes.

First point is... the number of players surged.

And the player group has been revealed to the ordinary public.

The Transcendent Academies have jointly and publicly stated that these people are formally defined as invaders from outside the world.

The announcement of this news immediately caused shock and panic worldwide.

After all, for the existence outside the world, all people unaware of the truth always add a mysterious color to them.

Originally thinking that this matter being exposed would form an anti-player craze, but with the fermentation of public opinion, it catalyzed the birth of a group of world traitors.

They worship those players as the masters who will save them, bringing new changes to this world.

For ordinary people who have no chance with Transcendent Academies, the splendor of this world has nothing to do with them.

The social stratification closed the door for them to cross over.

For this, many people became active online, starting to make this pool of stagnant water of a world active.

And what is most impressive are a group of external historians.

They collect history, summarize laws, raise questions, and reasonably suspect that those Transcendent Academies are also not from their original world.

The historical fault lines of the past gave them endless space for reverie.

And the external historians, who were once a joke, welcomed their spring at this historical node.

Their theories were propagated in the world, recognized by so many people, and sponsored by the rich.

Those Transcendent Academies were portrayed as outsiders who invaded their world in the past, and fiercely criticized them for resisting the descent of these invaders due to xenophobia, denouncing them for dominating the original historical process of their world and concealing the truth of the past...

The people of the Transcendent Academy group did not expect the development of the situation to deviate from their expectation so much.

It was as if the lingering historical issues were ignited at this moment.

When they were determined to investigate why such public opinion was incited, they found that all those behind it were the consortiums, families, nobles, and wealthy merchants who held the capital and operation of this world.

They admit that these ordinary people cannot overturn the absolute status of Transcendent beings, but they are the pillars maintaining the stable operation of the external society.

They naturally used the method of killing the chicken to scare the monkeys, but this caused consequences they also did not anticipate.

An area of a Beastman Academy incited a riot where ordinary people gathered.

After all, influenced by the style of the Beastman Academy, the local customs of the territory governed by that Beastman Academy were very fierce and full of beastly spirit.

If suppressed violently, this will lead to a low point in that Beastman Academy’s recruitment next year.

If the foundation is smashed, the development of their Beastman Academy will also stagnate.

Actually, it is not just this Beastman Academy.

There are protests in many places worldwide, and the riot is merely the continuous escalation of the situation.

Under such a general environment, many small Transcendent Academies suffered unwarranted disaster.

Eventually, quite a few were unable to sustain themselves and merged.

And in the territories that lost the governance of Transcendent Academies, even independence movements were incited.

Although they ultimately failed due to lack of experience, a brand new religious sect was born during this period.

The Descender Sect.

They call those players Descenders.

This very much conforms to the act of their consciousness descending and occupying ordinary people’s bodies.

They believe that overthrowing the current Transcendent Academy system society cannot be done by the power of ordinary people alone.

They must borrow power from outside the world, obtaining the help of those Descenders to reshape the new world!

And the one most provoked by the birth of the Descender Sect was the Holy Angel Academy.

Because for them, the Holy Light Church is the only religious sect in the Main World!

So the moment the Descender Sect announced its birth, they were attacked with full force by the Holy Light Church.

And directly categorized it as a cult.

Holy Light Churches all over the world would do their utmost to judge them and guide people who have gone astray back onto the right track.

But this time’s strike did not achieve a very good effect, and the Descender Sect grew even stronger because of this.

And now, a stalemate has been reached.

Coupled with the opening of the Expansion Realm, leading to the loss of a large batch of high-end combat power among students, the situation in the Main World is even more precarious.

But regarding this, the attitude of the mentors of the major Transcendent Academies is surprisingly consistent: hand it all over to the students to handle.

And during the period of handling this matter, another matter also caused a burst of heated discussion, which is... a type of gem, the ”Heart of Cold Tide,” began to be sought after.

And this craze was incited by the Descender Sect.

They are searching for this thing in this world.

No one knows why, except for those informed students in the Transcendent Academies.

They know that those players are also collecting [Transcendent Knowledge].

...

Expansion Realm.

Seed Bank spatial maze.

”We need to speed up the process.”

”What do you mean? Why did you suddenly say that?”

Everyone had been searching in the spatial maze for a long time.

Due to various unexpected incidents, several people were lost, but with the Magic Power Thread Network, at least they wouldn’t get lost in the maze.

But now they still haven’t found the ultimate goal they were looking for.

They are not stupid.

The Transcendent materials in the Seed Bank are very important.

Precious seeds also have high value.

But can the value be higher than the unknown entity that shaped this spatial maze?

”That Yang Yuehan, she has already found the core of this spatial maze.”

”What?! How is that possible!”

”Who told you that?”

Hearing this answer, this group of people who were still gathered together immediately exploded.

They made so much effort for this.

Are they going to prepare a wedding dress for someone else?

No matter who it is, this is unacceptable!

And how long has that Yang Yuehan been inside?

From when they learned about Yang Yuehan’s arrival until they decided to stop waiting and enter the spatial maze directly, it has only been more than half a day, less than a day.

Why did it become like this?

”News just came. That person... she opened a live stream through the Great Tree of Knowledge. Mentor Elena is paying close attention to it... I’m afraid we are going to become supporting roles.”

”What kind of monster did your Witch Academy produce?”

Hearing that the mentor in Ninglan New City who led the resurrection also paid attention to this matter, everyone completely gave up hope.

Even if that mentor doesn’t care about anything and won’t interfere in student disputes, being paid attention to by a Transcendent Mentor... still brought too much pressure to them.

”How would I know? The intelligence I received was somewhat lagging. We completely don’t know what Yang Yuehan is doing now... Hey! What’s the situation?!”

Just as they were lamenting, suddenly a spatial vibration made everyone’s heart tremble!

Such an obvious tremor wouldn’t occur in this spatial maze.

Something unexpected must have happened to cause such a commotion.

But before they could react, a massive root system pierced through a wall on one side, followed by a brief moment of weightlessness, and then they felt a violent impact!

Subsequently, they found that the original spatial cross-sections were disappearing bit by bit, becoming transparent.

This was the intersection between spaces gradually moving away.

The boundary of space was reflecting the scenery outside...

Recovering, the crowd supported themselves on the ground and looked up.

Through the refracting surface reflecting the external scene of space, they stared intently because they saw a tree!

A tree... so massive that an entire cross-section couldn’t fully capture its entire appearance!
