Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 602: The Ambition to Perfect the Great Tree of Knowledge System

Facing the sudden crisis, many people couldn’t sit still all of a sudden.

Even Ninglan Qiuyue took action immediately after learning about it, preventing this news from spreading again in Ninglan New City so quickly.

Because no one in Ninglan New City wanted to recall the nightmare from back then, never waking up again just because of sleeping.

Especially those two teaching assistants who experienced this matter at this moment.

If they heard about this matter last semester, they might have felt it didn’t matter, but now they don’t think so, because the flames of this matter have already burned to their side, and they have no way to avoid it.

So they once again found the mentor who resurrected them, Elena Roy.

Mentor Elena is a mentor stationed in Ninglan New City.

She generally won’t take action.

Unless the Expansion Realm encounters a major event, she will only resurrect dead students within the city.

Previously, after the two girls who fell into a deep sleep were brought back, they had already briefly explained their situation to Mentor Elena.

So when they found Mentor Elena again to mention this matter, it also attracted many other teaching assistants to come and understand the details.

After all, matters concerning life spread very quickly in the circle of teaching assistants, and they have also been paying attention to this matter.

”I know what you are encountering now. Just as you guessed, this is indeed the overlap of dream and reality.”

Seeing so many people coming at once, Elena also explained directly, ”To be precise, this is a very normal phenomenon, but this also explains one thing, that is, the dream state is recovering the repaired Expansion Realm. The space of the dream state once shrouded Ninglan New City. You should know this, right? Some people have also experienced it.”

Speaking of this, Elena looked at Ninglan Qiuyue in the crowd.

The mentor of the Witch Academy was willing to explain the situation, and Ninglan New City naturally hoped to understand more information, but only she, this student within the city, was qualified to come over and understand the situation.

”When the dream state is recovered, it means thorough interdependence with the Expansion Realm. Only then is it a more complete world.”

Of course, afterwards, their witches will also reinforce the boundary between dream and reality.

This is also part of the world repair.

After all... don’t forget, there are also Earth Veins in the dream state, and the relationship between the dream state and the world is equally closely related.

”Mentor Elena, can’t this matter be stopped? Listening to your meaning, you seem to think this is a very normal phenomenon?”

”This is natural. Until the end, our Witch Academy will reinforce the boundary between dream and reality. After that, this kind of thing won’t be encountered.”

Elena responded to their questions carefully.

”Then... can we reinforce Ninglan New City right now?”

”For example, can you decorate the interior of a suite just as the load-bearing columns of a building are being grouted?”

”This... cannot...”

Hearing this analogy, everyone also understood the current situation.

”Hearing Teacher Elena say this, then it means it can be done, but it’s unnecessary now, and also a thankless task, right? Then what if we are attacked by that Nightmare or whatever?”

”Yeah, the Expansion Realm is so big after all... We can’t be lucky enough to be rescued and leave that area every time. Moreover, the number of ordinary students will be greater later.”

At this time, someone raised their worry again.

”Regarding those attacking you earlier, I can clarify to you that those were not Nightmares, but Dream Creatures from the Primal Dream State. If you are entangled by a Nightmare, even if you break away from that overlapping space, committing suicide won’t give you a single chance to break free from the dream state.”

At this time, Elena corrected their cognitive error.

After all, the Dream Creatures at this moment are ”beneficial insects” for the Expansion Realm, helping to accelerate the recovery of the dream state.

It’s just that Dream Creatures are hard to control and nearly impossible to communicate with.

Dragging people into the dream state is most likely just for play.

Maybe after being dragged into the dream state and encountering the next Dream Creature, it will kick the person back to reality.

Compared to the Soul-substance of those people themselves, the Expansion Realm at this moment has even more delicious Soul Crystals as their food.

And precisely because of these large-scale Soul Crystals, those Dream Creatures wandering in the dream state will be continuously attracted to gather in the Expansion Realm.

”Then what should we do? By the way, didn’t they say this matter happened before? How was this matter resolved back then? Rumor says...”

”The rumor you heard is that Yang Yuehan woke up from the dream, gathered the power of dream and reality to turn the tide and solve those troubles, and finally the mentor saved the scene.”

Everyone looked at each other, although they clearly knew that Yang Yuehan was not among this group of people.

”How did she do it?”

Finally, someone couldn’t help but ask.

Everyone was very curious about how she did it.

Achieving ”waking up alone.”

”She gathered scholars of extraordinary research in Ninglan New City and created a spell, the Nightmare Spell. Heard it was a spell created by studying the Nightmare Demon. Let’s call it that for now. After all, it’s the name Little Han gave, still need to respect it.”

Elena thought of something and said.

”This spell can forcefully awaken people dragged into the dream state, and can also forcefully drag the Nightmare Demon from the dream state to reality for attack. However, the Nightmare Demon is a very special existence. Dream Creatures cannot be dragged out because they don’t have a reality foundation like the Nightmare Demon, but this spell can help you break away from those little tricks created for you by Dream Creatures.”

”Create... a spell? How did she do it?”

Hearing Elena’s narration, the teaching assistants present still felt it was very dreamlike. A newcomer... what right does she have?

”I don’t know either. Maybe that’s what a genius is? Heard that Little Han at that time had already mastered nearly most basic runes of Runology, and also had some understanding of expansion runes and compound runes. This is the basis for bare-handed spell casting. So this is not fabrication. The spells created by Little Han even had Transcendent Witches voluntarily and freely helping to make them into spellbooks.”

Hearing this, everyone suddenly fell silent.

Runology... many people’s cognition of it only stayed at having heard of it.

And some teaching assistants who studied Potions, Alchemy, Pharmacy, and the like learned part of Runology incidentally.

But... deliberately learning Runology, is this afraid that hair won’t fall out fast enough?

How did a newcomer have the patience to learn this kind of thing?

Is alchemy not marvelous enough, or is pharmacy not profitable enough?

Everyone who can become a teaching assistant is basically a genius.

After enrolling, they began to plan their academy life for their transcendent career.

They thought about learning alchemy, pharmacy, ritual formations, etc., but never thought about Runology.

The first reason for elimination is... this stuff doesn’t make money, or rather it’s hard to make money, nor does it increase strength.

Coupled with the misleading life experience of some mentors, it led to even students who realized the importance of Runology choosing to learn it after achieving Transcendent Witchhood.

But now with a comparison, the gap seems to have emerged.

Those with weaker willpower who like to compare have already started planning the schedule for learning Runology later, while those with strong willpower who dislike comparing still follow their own plans step by step, because they know the lifespan of a Transcendent Witch is eternal, and the final outcome won’t be determined by temporary gains and losses, strength and weakness.

”Mentor Elena, then do you know if the spellbook for this spell can still be obtained now? Or are there spellbooks with similar effects? We need at least such means not to be trapped in the dream state.”

At this time, one of them asked.

”Since the birth of this spellbook, it has only circulated among us mentors. To recreate the spellbook for this spell now would take a long time, and it’s too late.”

Elena shook her head and said.

Hearing such a result, everyone sighed.

”But this is the Expansion Realm. What are you sighing for? Have you become stupid from using spellbooks now? Didn’t you observe the change in power of your spells? Here there is a foundation for bare-handed spell casting. I can also teach you how to cast the Nightmare Spell bare-handed.”

Seeing everyone like this, Elena immediately hardened her tone.

The increased volume instantly brought everyone back to their senses.

”Really? Bare-handed spell casting?”

Hearing this reminder, many people also reacted.

Actually, many teaching assistants present had heard of the deeds of the Great Weakening Spell.

Also, quite a few teaching assistants tried bare-handed spell casting as soon as they arrived at Ninglan New City and succeeded, only the power was somewhat lacking compared to the corresponding spellbooks.

”Now I can teach you how to cast the Nightmare Spell bare-handed, but I have a condition, or rather a long-term task. The content of the task is that later when a large number of students enter Ninglan New City, or when exploring outside and get dragged into the dream state by Dream Creatures in the dream overlap area, you have to go for timely rescue, and patrol the dream overlap area regularly to avoid accidents. And the reward for the task is the teaching of the Nightmare Spell. As long as you are willing to learn, I will teach until you master it.”

...

At this moment, at the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree.

After my continuous perfection, the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree at this moment finally... withered and died in my hands.

Withered branches, falling dead leaves, making this area seem like it entered an autumn full of fallen leaves.

But just as it broke through the shield originally obscuring its figure, at this moment, the newborn seed radiated new life within its original branches.

The vitality of life squeezed the withered main trunk bit by bit from the inside.

Piercing creaking sounds came from time to time.

The flourishing of life was unstoppable until the original husk was completely shattered.

With the collapse of the branches, only the tree stump where it once existed was left in place.

The collapsing dry old wood fell outward, crushing countless plants.

At this moment, this colossus finally fell, but its dead, fallen husk was enough to crush the surrounding plants to death.

And at this moment, a newborn green leaf extended on that old tree stump.

It twisted its branches, stretching away the oppression of the original husk on it.

At this moment, it obtained true freedom!

It will grow vigorously.

No one will impose any Plant Network architecture again, nor will anyone make its growth give way for service.

Because at this moment, it is the ”Natural Plant Network”!

Integrating the system of the Great Tree of Knowledge into the newborn Myriad Connection Main Network Tree, inheriting the former name and architecture, becoming the mission and freedom of its new life.

It is as if its birth was to grow and strengthen for this purpose, rather than forcibly making it abandon growth to achieve this purpose, only making way for this purpose.

This is... complete taming.

To use an inappropriate metaphor, it’s like the difference between a pet tamed artificially after birth and a natural pet.

But the gap of the newborn Myriad Connection Main Network Tree is far more exaggerated than this metaphor.

And the moment I succeeded, several witches in the invisible space left directly.

Success of a technique is like this.

As long as the threshold of success is broken through, no one can destroy this result.

So the witches still remaining until now are witches truly still very interested in this.

And among Transcendents of other academies, some also left with a lack of interest, because they knew they had no chance.

Staying longer was meaningless.

And those who stayed were basically unwilling masters, wanting to witness with their own eyes what exactly this thing was.

Right at the home field everyone was paying attention to, which is where I am.

I naturally know what exactly I created.

Simply put, this is a ”Seed of the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree,” a spell technique generated by combining the related technologies of cultivating the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree within the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree.

The function of this derivative technique is only one, that is to cultivate a brand new Myriad Connection Main Network Tree.

Just such a simple technique.

But the key point of its technique lies in... its essence is actually a kind of ”carrier”.

Just like the Seed of Great Knowledge, it is a carrier that can help others use the Grand Spellbook ”Great Tree of Knowledge”.

As for how to use it, that depends on whether the owner knows how to use it.

Those who don’t know how to use it can only treat it as a Memory Bookshelf helping with memory, while those who know how to use it can use many functions on this system, Shadow of Knowledge, Earth Vein Appraisal Spell, Destiny Gazing Technique, etc.

Then what about the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree?

It carries the ”New Plant Network”.

Plant Network is a concept of mine, an important component to replace the ”Academy Network” function within my Great Tree of Knowledge.

After all, no matter what, the Academy Network is something outside my Great Tree of Knowledge system.

Although there is relatively mature interfacing technology, that is only interfacing technology.

What I want is to completely perfect the Great Tree of Knowledge, so it must need such a ”network”!

Perhaps such a network cannot spread in the Witch Academy, or even the Main World Core Realm, but in this brand new Expansion Realm, it is the most perfect testing ground!

This Plant Network is a test product of my plan to interface an interoperable network between Seeds of Great Knowledge, and this network can also become the medium for my ”Great Knowledge Sharing Technique”.

So the newborn Myriad Connection Main Network Tree is a way of utilizing the Seed of Great Knowledge in my plan.

And it itself also has many ways of utilization.

For example, it itself can bear fruit, but this fruit and seed cannot grow into an independent and complete Myriad Connection Main Network Tree, but become something else.

However, before this seed is born, I can’t jump to conclusions explaining its function...

Gradually, I retracted my domain.

The phantom of the Great Tree of Knowledge also gradually disappeared.

Only that Myriad Connection Main Network Tree growing visibly to the naked eye remained before my eyes.

Just like the ambition attached to its name, the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree will inevitably connect this entire Expansion Realm.

Even... connect worlds between the void?

However, this goal seems somewhat unrealistic.

Moreover, as the creator of all these techniques, I haven’t even walked out of the world to reach the void outside.

So... this is just a beautiful fantasy highlighting my ambition.

Just keeping it in the bottom of my heart to motivate myself is enough.

As for doing things... only by keeping feet on the ground can one improve steadily.

Aiming too high will only lead to a miserable fall.
