Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1286: Chapter 1286: How Can Lyle Westbrook Be Here? Chapter 1286: Chapter 1286: How Can Lyle Westbrook Be Here? “How are you feeling, better yet?” Lyle Westbrook looked at her, seeing that she wasn’t vomiting as severely, and patted her on the back to help her catch her breath. He saw her face was white with an abnormal flush of red, his eyebrows involuntarily furrowed, and his rose-colored thin lips tightened, “Why did you drink so much?”

Where was Baron Lawrence?

How could he just watch her drink so much?

Enna Clark was vomiting so much that the world spun, and just when her stomach felt slightly better, her head started to spin again. She wasn’t sure if it was the alcohol kicking in or if she had vomited so much she was oxygen-deprived. She subconsciously released the grip on Lyle Westbrook’s clothes, her clear eyes clouded with a layer of mist, seemingly surprised, yet not quite back to her senses, “Lyle… Lyle Westbrook?”

Seeing her condition, Lyle knew she had drunk a lot. He felt a headache coming on but couldn’t suppress the ache in his heart. Although Enna had let go, he still held onto her wrist. It wasn’t that he wanted to take advantage of Enna’s drunken state, but mainly because he was worried that she was too drunk to stand. His lips barely touched as he said, “It’s me.”

“I’ll take you home.”

Enna Clark was feeling dizzy and uncomfortable but wasn’t so dizzy as to not understand speech. She reflexively refused, “No, no need. I’ll call a driver to pick me up later…”

Lyle Westbrook tightened his grip on her hand, still in his usual gentle demeanor, but with an assertive tone that brooked no refusal, “I won’t feel at ease, I’ll take you!”

Without waiting for Enna to speak, “It’s settled then, just wait for me.”

“I…”

Lyle had already instructed his attendant, “Prepare a new set of clothes for me, quickly.”

“Yes, Young Master Lyle.” The attendant didn’t dare to delay and hurried off to carry out the task.

He still held Enna Clark’s wrist and turned to the waiter, “Open up a private room for me and bring over some hot water and a sobering potion.”

He was naturally good-looking, the kind that veered towards the charismatic type, and under the lighting, his features seemed even more sculpted and deep-set. Especially those eyes, part of their charm due to being Peach Blossom Eyes, with the slightest upward curve at the edges, complemented by lashes as thick as wings casting shadows onto his eyelids in the light, eliciting an indescribable sense of tender focus.

The female waiter blushed at the sight, snapping back to reality and hurriedly said, “Okay, okay, I’ll get right on that.”

After watching her scurry away, Lyle scanned over the group they had been dining with, with no intention to conceal his actions. He spoke politely, yet with indifference, “I apologize everyone, but I may not be able to join you all for karaoke later. Have a good time, I’ll pick up the tab.”

The others could clearly see why he couldn’t go, with evident understanding they said, “Young Master Lyle, no need to be polite. If you’re busy, go ahead. We can get together another time.”

“Exactly, Young Master Lyle, you go ahead with your business. We’ll have fun just the same. We can invite Young Master Lyle next time.”

“Mr. Smith is right, Young Master Lyle, you take care of what you need to, don’t mind us.”

Though they said this, their eyes grew increasingly curious when they looked at Enna Clark.

But in front of Lyle, it was impossible to keep staring at Enna continuously; at most, they sneaked a few glances.

After exchanging a few niceties, the waiter arrived and, knowing their place, they each bid Lyle farewell one by one and left…

Once everyone had left, the waiter said, “Please follow me.”
