Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1260: Chapter 1260: Looking for Someone at the Airport Chapter 1260: Chapter 1260: Looking for Someone at the Airport Enna Clark put down her phone.

Her beautiful brows involuntarily furrowed deeply.

It made sense for Baron Lawrence to turn off his phone—it wasn’t unusual for him to do something irrational when he was angry. However, it was troubling that Mr. Harris had also switched off his phone.

She had wanted to fly to Country S to check on him, but her identity had just been exposed, and her villa was surrounded by too many journalists and paparazzi. Plus, her leg was still injured, and Edward Jackson did not agree with her going out. That’s why she had stayed at home, trying to reach them by phone.

If Olivia hadn’t called today to say that Baron Lawrence had returned to the country, she had already decided to fly to Country S tomorrow, no matter what.

Because of her instructions, the driver sped through the streets, and 15 minutes later, the car screeched to a halt at the international flight exit of the airport.

“Wait here for me.”

“Yes, Miss.”

Enna Clark opened the car door and hurried out.

The airport’s crowd was comparable to that of the hospital; once she stepped out of the car, she realized she was utterly at a loss, with no idea where to start looking.

The airport in Country W was an international airport with three levels above ground and two below, totaling five stories.

There were countless exits.

It would be easier to find someone if she had the flight number of a scheduled plane, but Baron Lawrence rarely flew commercial. He almost always traveled by private jet.

Private jets don’t provide flight numbers, so without contacting him directly, she had no idea which exit to go to.

Enna Clark anxiously searched the airport and couldn’t find him, her forehead damp with sweat.

She took out her phone and tried to call Baron Lawrence again.

Though she wasn’t hopeful.

But still, hearing the mechanical female voice on the other end, she felt a wave of disappointment.

Standing in the airport, she felt lost and agitated for the first time in a while.

What now?

Should she go back and wait?

But she really wanted to understand—what did it mean that Baron Lawrence hadn’t turned on his phone for several days, and why had Mr. Harris also stopped using his phone after going to Country S?

Was it that the man was throwing a tantrum, not allowing Mr. Harris to contact her, or did something else happen?

For example—had Baron Lawrence been injured?

Enna Clark’s heart involuntarily clenched at the thought.

It was what she had been worrying about these past few days.

That Baron Lawrence was injured and thus hadn’t answered her calls, and that Mr. Harris had switched off his phone because he didn’t want her to worry.

Yet when Olivia called, she hadn’t said anything about Baron Lawrence being injured, just that she saw him return to the country.

If Baron Lawrence had really suffered a serious injury, Olivia would have definitely told her right away.

So Enna Clark really couldn’t understand what was going on, but she always felt that something had happened to Baron Lawrence in Country S that he didn’t know about.

Enna Clark searched around again but didn’t find anyone. Looking around, she also wasn’t sure if Baron Lawrence had already left through the VIP passage.

Her calls still went unanswered.

She could only go downstairs and think about what to do next after returning home.

No sooner had she reached the first floor than she heard a few girls gossiping and chatting.

“That guy just now was so handsome.”

“Not just handsome, he was super handsome. He was so good-looking, I almost abandoned my idol.”

“He really is extremely handsome, with great height, build, and looks, plus all that security surrounding him. He might really be some star.”

“Don’t be silly, he’s definitely not a star. You can tell from his aura alone that he’s different from a star—he looks more like he’s from the military.”
