Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1253: Chapter 1253: The female doctor knows Edward Jackson? Chapter 1253: Chapter 1253: The female doctor knows Edward Jackson? When she received the notification from the Director, they said that the VIP patient had some work unfinished, and as soon as it was done, would rush to the Hospital. She thought the injury couldn’t be serious, just that rich people are fussy–even a trivial injury requires an expert.

Now, seeing for herself, it was not only serious but much more severe than she had imagined!

With the degree of bruising like this, just enduring the pain would be enough to make someone miserable.

This young, seemingly delicate beautiful woman actually bore such acute pain, only coming to see the doctor at the Hospital after she had finished her ‘work’.

Enna Clark felt confused by her scrutiny and furrowed her brows, “Doctor, my leg…?”

“It’s alright, I haven’t started the examination yet.” The female doctor’s attitude had softened considerably, and after a pause, she added, “It will be quite painful during the examination. Just bear with it.”

“Okay.”

Her left leg wasn’t in much pain anymore; she had already endured the worst of it, even pretending to be unconscious and not daring to move an inch. So, she wasn’t afraid.

But when the mallet actually struck her wound, Enna Clark couldn’t help but inhale sharply, the color draining from her lips.

“How is it, very painful right?”

“Mhm.”

“And here?”

“It’s bearable.”

“What about this area?”

…

After tapping everywhere on her injury with the mallet, the female doctor finally stood up. The eyes hidden behind her glasses showed a hint of admiration as she smiled and said, “You’re the first patient I have had who hasn’t cried out during an examination. Please, have a seat.”

Enna Clark’s left leg had become numb from the pain, and upon hearing that, she didn’t hesitate to sit down.

After looking at her x-rays, the doctor turned to Edward Jackson and said, “Your niece’s leg injury has reached the bone, but fortunately, it’s just a slight soft tissue contusion. What’s more troublesome is that the contused tissue has pressed against blood vessels in the leg, leading to many capillaries bursting and a significant accumulation of blood stasis. Luckily she came in quickly; otherwise, if the pressure had continued, it could have left her with complications.”

Your niece… the way she spoke seemed familiar.

Uncle knew this female doctor?

Enna Clark turned her head in surprise.

Edward Jackson looked the same as usual, his thick brows furrowing briefly before he asked the doctor, “What needs to be done?”

“Not much to do at the moment, just start an infusion for anti-inflammatory and blood stasis dispersal. I’ll have a Nurse come over and massage her leg to try and disperse the blood stasis as much as possible. The process will just be quite painful, that’s all.”

Hearing it would be quite painful made Edward Jackson’s brows furrow even more, his amber eyes looking at the doctor, seemingly dissatisfied with the method, “Isn’t there another way to disperse the blood stasis?”

The doctor, who was already turning to write a prescription, stopped at his words, turned back, crossing her arms and looking at him with an amused smirk, “There are alternatives, indeed.”

“What are they?”

“Make a cut on her leg, let out the blood stasis, then stitch it up. This method involves a daily anesthetic injection, which isn’t as painful, but it can leave scars and, besides, regular anesthetic use can lead to drug resistance. In the future, during childbirth or any surgery that requires anesthesia, she might experience anesthetic awareness.”

Anesthetic awareness, as the name implies, is where the person remains conscious despite anesthesia. Unbeknownst to the doctor, this can lead to patients unable to endure the pain, dying on the operating table.

Edward Jackson’s thin lips suddenly tightened, his amber eyes reflecting embarrassment as he told the doctor, “Write the prescription, let’s stick with the conventional method.”

“Tsk.” The doctor, as if she knew he would choose that option, turned back and continued writing her own prescription.
