Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1269: Chapter 1269: Strong and… Lonely Chapter 1269: Chapter 1269: Strong and… Lonely “…” Where did she say she didn’t want to anymore? She was just surprised the Old Master was willing to let people go.

But she knew Bobby’s temperament all too well, identical to that of a certain someone; once outraged, he was an absolute bomb.

She immediately grabbed the little volcano that was about to erupt, speaking softly, “I was just asking.”

Before Bobby could jump up, she wisely took one hand in her left and another in her right, quickly spoke, “Let’s go, we’re going home.”

Tobias, whose handsome young face was beginning to show signs of adolescence, changed his expression and, after glaring at Enna Clark, allowed her to take his hand without saying a word.

The housekeeper watched their interaction, a smile curling at the corners of his mouth as he led the trio outside.

He watched as the three of them got into the car and arranged for the driver to take them away. Only after the car drove off did he slowly retract his gaze and walk back.

Old Master Lawrence, who had said he wanted to take a nap, had not returned to his room but was still in the drawing room.

Seeing the housekeeper come in, he washed a teacup and without lifting his head said, “Have they left?”

“Yes,” the housekeeper replied with utmost respect.

“And Tobias and Gigi, have they left together too?”

“Yes.”

Old Master Lawrence seemed to have anticipated that Bobby would leave with Enna Clark. He put down the cleaned teaware, gently wiped it with a velvet cloth and spoke, “Call Nicholas later and tell him I will host a family dinner tonight. At that time, let Skye bring the person she’s been seeing.”

Nicholas Lawrence had told him that Skye had seen that man a few times, they had meals and watched movies together, and it seemed like they were getting along well. Even Skye spoke well of him, saying that in all aspects he was suitable, and after getting to know each other a bit more, she would consider dating him.

But he didn’t think so.

If Skye really got along with that man, why did she call Baron over as soon as he returned to the country?

And there was something else…

Old Master Lawrence narrowed his eyes, placing the spotless cup back on the high-end red sandalwood tea set, and suddenly said, “Skye should get married…”

Although he had merely agreed to reconsider Enna Clark, not to accept her, now that he had agreed to consider, he would not think about anyone else but Enna Clark during this process!

If Skye was smart, she’d better backtrack sooner rather than later.

If she wasn’t wise…

Old Master Lawrence’s head began to ache inexplicably.

His complexion, which hadn’t looked very good to begin with, now worsened as the headache triggered his nerves, causing a throbbing pain in his temples. His appearance, which had somewhat alleviated due to warm milk, once again grew weary.

The housekeeper vaguely felt he had guessed something, yet found his own thoughts too absurd and hurriedly cast them aside. He quickly assisted the Old Master, who was on the sofa, and said with concern, “Old Lord, you haven’t had proper rest these past few days because of the Young Master’s situation. Now that Ms. Clark is aware of the Young Master’s condition, you should go rest. Leave the rest to Ms. Clark and the experts. You should recuperate first, and let go of the rest for the time being.”

Old Master Lawrence indeed felt unwell. Alone with the housekeeper, he wasn’t going to push himself. He rubbed his temples and compromised, “I’ll take a nap. If Baron comes back, let me know.”

“Of course. Rest assured, Old Lord, I will wake you the moment the Young Master returns.”

Old Master Lawrence grunted in response and, with his assistance, went upstairs. His figure, viewed from behind, looked powerful yet… lonely!
