Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1264: Chapter 1264: Still Decided to Ask Baron Lawrence for Clarification Chapter 1264: Chapter 1264: Still Decided to Ask Baron Lawrence for Clarification “What news?”

“It’s about Young Master Lawrence. There was a leak online saying that Young Master Lawrence and his cousin were having coffee at a café in the City Center, so I called to ask if you hadn’t picked up Young Master Lawrence?” Olivia Lewis paused, always feeling something odd about Enna Clark and Baron Lawrence, “Didn’t you say you were going to the airport? How come you didn’t pick anyone up? When you got there, had Baron Lawrence already left?”

Enna Clark mumbled, “Well… sort of.”

“What do you mean ‘sort of’? If it’s yes, then it’s yes; if no, then no. Did you meet Young Master Lawrence at the airport or not?”

Enna Clark couldn’t explain it right away and could only say, “I did meet him, but there were too many reporters, so he might not have seen me.”

“Oh, no wonder. It’s good that you two didn’t argue.”

“We didn’t argue. Olivia, I have something else to do, I need to hang up first.”

Olivia Lewis sneered at her, “Damn, so heartless. Go on and hang up then.”

Usually, she was the one chased around with concern by those around her, and the one time she showed concern for someone else, she was treated as if she were paparazzi.

Olivia Lewis felt dejected.

“Am I… really going to hang up?”

Olivia Lewis’s eyebrows shot up, “Whether you hang up or not, if you don’t, I will.”

Stirred by her words, Enna Clark’s mood wasn’t so gloomy anymore, and she hung up the phone.

She walked to her desk, opened her laptop, and searched for the latest news.

Sure enough, as Olivia had said, there were photos online of Baron Lawrence and Skye Lawrence having coffee together, and it seemed they were enjoying a good atmosphere and conversation.

Yet she frowned fiercely…

Something just didn’t feel right.

Enna Clark remembered that not long ago, when she had run into Skye Lawrence, Baron Lawrence had repeatedly warned her to stay away from Skye Lawrence and to be careful around him. Even the last time she ran into Skye Lawrence, he hadn’t greeted her, clearly indicating there was a rift between him and Skye Lawrence.

It was strange, given Baron Lawrence’s meticulous and domineering nature, that he would suddenly reconcile with Skye Lawrence.

If they hadn’t made up, then why, when Baron Lawrence was at the airport and clearly saw her, did he walk away as if he hadn’t seen her at all? And why did he turn around and go have coffee with Skye Lawrence?

No matter how much she thought about it, she couldn’t understand. Biting her lip, Enna Clark tried dialing the phone number on her mobile again.

“Dudu…”

“Sorry, the number you are calling has been switched off, please try again later…”

She still couldn’t get through!

Enna Clark stopped her wild speculations, stood up swiftly, picked up the car keys on the desk, and walked out.

She didn’t want to guess wildly at home anymore; she wanted to ask Baron Lawrence directly, to see if he was angry, or if he really hadn’t seen her.

She had only been upstairs for a few minutes before coming down again, causing Edward Jackson’s eyebrows to furrow and furrow again.

Enna Clark didn’t give him the chance to speak and quickly said, “Little Uncle, I need to go out again, I’ll be back soon.”

Without waiting for Edward Jackson’s consent, she went out through the Entrance Hall.

As she walked outside, she saw a car stopped in front of the villa.

The Housekeeper got out of the car, still wearing a tailcoat and old-fashioned glasses, looking gentlemanly and kind.

“I’m glad I came at the right time, just as I ran into Ms. Clark. Ms. Clark, Old Lord Lawrence would like to see you.”

“Old Master Lawrence wants to see me?”

“Yes, Old Master Lawrence wishes to see you, please get in the car.”

Although Enna Clark’s most desired meeting was with Baron Lawrence, she couldn’t refuse the summons from Old Master Lawrence, so she suppressed the doubts in her stomach and got in the car.
