Chapter 436: Chapter 436: The Arrogant Dragon Rider

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: A dragon? A dragon rider?

Lazy Kitten: So we jumped straight from spiritual revival to fantasy, huh? Even this thing has shown up. Next, will there be some kind of Light God shining upon the land?

Scarlet Lotus Fairy: Is this considered an invasion?

Amegakure Village’s Angel: Logically speaking, it depends on what he does next. Based on that, we can determine whether it’s an invasion.

Curly-haired Guy: I definitely think it’s an invasion. Riding a dragon over here couldn’t possibly be for doing business with you, right?

Foul-Mouthed Mask Guy: No, no, no, it’s hard to say. Maybe it really is for business. Honestly, I quite like his armor. Little Eriri, could you ask him how much he’d sell it for?

Machete Girl: Stop joking, how could he possibly sell it to you!

Doujin Artist: The American troops turned on their speakers; it seems they’re planning to negotiate with him. But he’s totally ignoring them! Hilarious!

In Eriri’s ears, perfectly enunciated American English now rang out. The general meaning was to declare they were the military of the world’s most powerful nation, hoping to engage in friendly talks and discussions with the dragon rider before them and the forces behind him.

To ensure this ”dragon rider” could understand, the American commander deliberately slowed his speech.

But clearly, the visitor from another world was utterly unmoved. Sitting on the dragon’s back, his gaze held a hint of disdain as he looked down below.

Eriri didn’t know if the other could understand English, but she understood perfectly that this ”dragon rider” had absolutely no intention of negotiating. He seemed to be waiting for something.

Sure enough.

A few dozen seconds later, another green Western dragon emerged from the teleportation array into everyone’s view. On this dragon’s back sat a girl with golden hair.

Her appearance was quite lovely. She wore a silver gauze dress, and her skin was very fair. Of course, the most striking feature was her pair of pointed, long ears.

An elf?

Eriri blinked, her expression somewhat astonished. So it seems the other side truly is that kind of sword-and-magic world. Dragons, dragon riders, elves... What exactly are they coming here to do?

”Claire, you’re too slow.” Just as Eriri was pondering internally, the male dragon rider suddenly spoke.

His words were not English, nor Japanese, nor even any language existing on Earth. Yet Eriri could fully grasp his meaning through the built-in language assistance feature of the group chat, though she could only understand, not communicate.

”You opened the rift crystal early, Rod.” The elf girl named Claire spoke calmly.

This elf girl’s voice was quite captivating, her cool tone carrying a touch of ethereal quality. If she were to enter Earth’s singing industry, she’d probably swiftly rise to become a top-tier superstar.

Maybe kidnap her and become her manager?

Eriri had a sudden whimsical thought, amusing herself.

Boom.

Just as Eriri was about to laugh, the red dragon under Rod suddenly opened its mouth and spewed a crimson flame toward those American warships.

Whoosh.

Rolling waves of heat surged violently; the sea surface billowed with massive clouds of mist. That was seawater vaporized and condensed into form; the mist even enveloped the entire sea area.

”Rod!” Claire frowned, speaking coldly: ”The Emperor’s orders did not instruct you to launch an attack directly!”

”What does that matter.” Rod sneered, saying: ”The Emperor is already determined to conquer this realm anyway, right? If these natives don’t witness our power, how could they willingly submit?”

”But the Emperor only instructed us to deliver the conquest proclamation.” Claire gazed at him coldly, rebutting: ”And you didn’t even intend to communicate with them!”

”Ha, have me communicate with a bunch of native monkeys?” Rod scornfully glanced at her, saying: ”Are they worthy?”

”You...”

”Shut up, Claire. Don’t forget your status; you’re just a half-elf! Even if you’ve gained the green dragon’s acknowledgment, your filthy bloodline. you can never enter the Council!”

So she’s a half-elf?

Eriri realized then: a half-elf must be a hybrid of human and elf. So what is this Council he mentioned? Similar to Japan’s cabinet parliament?

Regarding the American fleet under attack, Eriri didn’t pay it any mind. Such tools for maintaining American hegemony, being destroyed might actually benefit humanity.

”I have no delusions of entering the Council.” Claire shook her head, saying: ”But all your actions here, I will faithfully report to the Emperor.”

”Hahaha, you really think that will scare me? Claire, you don’t yet know...”

Boom.

Before Rod finished speaking, the red dragon under him was suddenly struck in the abdomen by a shell. The shell exploded, flames burst forth. A black thick smoke formed in mid-air.

”We hit it!”

”Kill this damn monster!”

”God bless America!”

The remaining cruiser’s American soldiers cheered jubilantly, thinking they had avenged their comrades. But soon, a thick tongue of flame shot out from the smoke, engulfing their entire ship.

Blazing flames burned on the sea surface; the entire North Sea Fleet was thus completely destroyed.

”Hmph, thinking those puny little toys could defeat me?” Sitting on the dragon’s back, Rod’s expression carried a touch of irritation; clearly, he had also been startled just now.

Just little toys?

Eriri clearly saw that the dragon under him had obvious scorched marks on its belly. This proved the dragon had also suffered injury from the artillery strike earlier.

Though this injury wasn’t very significant, it could basically be concluded that if the North Sea Fleet, fully prepared, fought this dragon in a positional battle, the outcome truly would be uncertain.

Of course, Eriri only used the dragon for estimation here, not including the dragon rider himself. In her thinking, someone capable of subduing a dragon surely possessed power not inferior to the dragon itself.

If the other world had a force of over a thousand such dragon riders, then they indeed might have the potential to conquer this world.

Need to figure out how to obtain accurate intelligence.

Thinking this, Eriri focused her gaze on Claire. That look was like Team Rocket spotting a rare Pokémon.
