THE GOD EATER

His voice was smug as he said, ”What he won’t be able to tell is that I have killed every member of my alliance. So you will gain nothing if I die.”

The dragon had told him that he was selected to be transformed into a dragon because he was a rank 8 cultivator with an alliance. So his recruitment should have earned that dragon king a rank 8 dragon and 6 subordinates.

But Money Body absolutely refused to become someone else’s servant after becoming free from the Four Directions Sect. His mind is made up about this. He would rather die than let it happen. So now it was up to the dragon king to lose everything it invested in him, or try to gain something out of it.

After the five Divine Positions became one within the core of his Cave Heaven, he brought out one of the Divine Metacs that had just become free. This was the Money Armor Metac.

He presented the Money Armor Metac to the dragon and said with a smile, ”What do you say?”

The dragon was clearly frustrated by the turn of events. But the situation was pressing, and it seemed to have received an order from on high.

So it gritted its teeth and said, ”How the tables have turned.”

Then it snatched the Money Armor Metac by force from Money Body’s hands. An instant layer, the Divine Metac disappeared from his hands. All that was left was the scowl of displeasure and anger on his face.

But this scowl only made Money Body laugh. He laughed loudly with pure joy.

He was truly happy. For the first time in a long time, he was truly happy. It was a surreal feeling that he didn’t think he would experience for the rest of his life.

As he laughed, his eyes gleamed, and he thought with a sneer, ’Do you think you can take advantage of me for nothing? If that’s what you thought, you have another thing coming.’

Then he said to the dragon, ”I have to thank you for this opportunity. I am truly grateful. But I won’t let my gratefulness stop me from reaching for more.”

”It is in my nature to always seek more. I have been unable to do that for a long time because I have been trapped and limited by my sect. But you have given me a chance to spread my wings and fly, so I will take it.”

By this point, he had become drunk on power. This was why his inner sneer appeared on his face as he said, ”When I become your boss, I will punish you for all the suffering that you’ve put me through. But for the sake of giving me this opportunity, I won’t let you suffer much.”

”However, you have to stop scowling. You should also learn to respect me as soon as possible. After all, I will become your boss soon.”

As he said this, he reached over to pat the dragon’s face.

He wanted to remove the scowl on its face and spread his lips into a smile by force. But the dragon smacked his hands away and said, ”Wait until you become my boss before you become cocky. I am still stronger than you. And who knows, you might fail and die.”

Money Body didn’t believe that he had a reason to fail, as he had been planning for this for a long time and was sure of his success. So he snorted in response and said, ”I can’t fail. But even if I fail and die right now, I will be happy.”

Just as he said this, the dragon brought out the Money Armor Divine Position. The sight of the new Divine Position made the displeasure on his face disappear immediately and melt away into a smile.

He received the Divine Position with a large smile on his face. It was as if he were a kid receiving a present. His happiness was overflowing and spilling over.

After he accepted the Divine Position into his Cave Heaven, he smiled and said, ”I will die happy. How many people can hope to achieve something like that?”

Without waiting for a response from the dragon, he presented another Divine Metac to the dragon. Clearly, he was treating the dragon and the dragon king behind him as nothing but his piggy bank.

As the dragon received the Debt Collector Divine Metac from him, he said, ”I’ve heard some people say that the debtors are the bosses. I always thought what they were saying was nonsense. But after seeing your behavior, I think they might be right.”

His words made Money Body laugh and say, ”It is so true. After all, you have invested so much in me. You have no choice but to continue to invest in me. Especially since you only need to give me three more Divine Positions.”

”Rather than let five go to waste, you can give me three more and gain a powerful ally. Who wouldn’t want to make such a deal?”

Even without seeing the scowl on the dragon’s face, he could guess that both this dragon and the dragon king didn’t want to make this deal. So he is sure that it was the will of the super world that insisted on going ahead with this deal.

If he were the dragon king, he is sure that he wouldn’t want a competitor. But the super world would only see the addition of another rank 9 being as a boon. So why not take the deal?

However, he still thought to himself, ’When I become a rank 9 Dao Initiate, I must work together with that dragon king to restrict the will of the world and prevent it from making more rank 9 beings.”

A rank 9 divine being is not a servant of a world like world kings are to worlds. Instead, rank 9 beings are partners to the will of the world. Their relationship can be considered a symbiotic relationship.
