THE GOD EATER

Then the Vengeful Bones Metac increased this 3,311,280 units of divine power by adding the 857,088 units of divine power that he stole earlier. So his power became 4,168,368 units of divine power.

This power seemed like overkill. After all, the 2,623,104 units of divine power that he was using before were more than good enough to kill the swordsman.

After the fist struck him, the swordsman popped like a balloon as he exploded in an inferno of fire, heat, and light. But both he and Loki knew that his death this time around was different from the previous deaths.

A moment after the last swordman was killed, the five continents separated completely and disappeared into the void. Then Loki sensed his mark on the swordsman go out.

This made him shake his head and say, “Bonafide divine beings are truly tricky. They are too difficult to kill.”

One of the reasons the fight was difficult for him was that he had held back some of his capabilities during the fight. He hadn’t used the two Divine Metacs of the Mind Hunter Pathway, so he hadn’t been fighting at his full strength.

Of course, there was a reason he held back from using the two Divine Metacs. The most important reason was that he didn’t want to expose the fact that he had those Divine Metacs.

He didn’t want to expose too much information about himself because he wasn’t sure he could kill the swordsman and because he was sure that the swordsman would tell others about his information.

If he had been fighting a world king in some unknown world, he would have had nothing to worry about. But because of the divine constellation, there was no way he could prevent the divine being from snitching on him.

So even if he was hell-bent on spending his lifespan to hide how he killed the swordsman, the information would still be exposed. This was why he didn’t use the two of them.

The second reason he didn’t use them was that he was waiting for the swordsman to be near death before using them. He had been planning to use them to catch the swordsman off guard if it looked like he could kill the swordsman.

He was afraid that using them early would make the swordsman give up and run away, and he wanted to make sure that if he did expose the two Divine Metacs, it would be because he used them to kill the enemy.

And by using them to kill the swordsman at the last moment, the swordsman wouldn’t have time to tell others about what happened. So he had thought everything out.

But it seemed he had still underestimated the ruthlessness of the swordsman. Even before he brought out the two Divine Metacs of the Mind Hunter Pathway, the swordsman was already running away.

After thinking about how the fight had gone, he said, “I actually did well for a rank 6 cultivator. It is just that I didn’t know that he could break his Cave Heaven apart like that.”

“Maybe if I knew, I would have ignored the swordmen. They would have followed me into the core of the Cave Heaven for sure and continued to hit me. But they wouldn’t have been able to let the core get away from me like this.”

As he was reviewing the fight, he flew down to the continent beneath his feet. Then he began to assimilate it.

He summoned his Cave Heaven, so a shadow of a great continent appeared above his head. He moved the shadow around and placed it beside the large continent. Then he urged his Cave Heaven to fuse with the continent.

This process of assimilation was very slow, even though no one was resisting him. This was because there was no Core Heaven to use to assimilate the continent all at once.

He had to start from the edge of the continent and assimilate it slowly. So something that should have taken a few seconds with a core took over 30 minutes, even with no resistance.

To be exact, it took 34 minutes and 21 seconds for him to assimilate the Cave Heaven. When he was done, he let himself fall back to the second heaven.

As soon as he reappeared, he heard the sound of people fighting. Since only divine beings could be in the second heaven, he knew that it had to be divine beings fighting.

After coming to this conclusion, he cursed and said, “It must be that swordsman. He must have called for help.”

He immediately became alert and ready for battle. But even after several seconds since his appearance, no one attacked him. This was because they were busy fighting each other.

About 35 minutes ago, three large continents that were about 25 million square kilometers had suddenly appeared in the sky above the second heaven.

When these three continents appeared, every divine being for tens of thousands of kilometers saw them. Most of these divine beings immediately took a liking to these continents. So they dropped whatever they were doing and rushed towards the three continents.

The three continents fell to the red silky earth of the second heaven and kicked off a battle royale among the divine beings. After all, each continent was the size of a small world.

Usually, divine beings don’t like fighting in the second heaven because fighting in the second heaven is like fighting in a burning house. This is because nearly everything around them can burn them.

There is also the fact that they can’t use the power of their Cave Heaven and law fragments here, so any damage that they cause to the enemy won’t be amplified by their law fragments.

This makes it so that the enemy will only need to spend the same amount of lifespan that they used to create the attack to heal the injuries caused by the attack.
