THE GOD EATER

He already knows the spatial coordinates of the small world. He got the coordinates from Lady Red’s mind when he was searching her mind, and she got the coordinates from a seer of the Nexus of Truth Sect.

Since he already knows where the small world is, getting it will be less stressful. It will still be stressful because the spatial coordinates don’t point out exactly where the small world is, but only outline the area of space where the small world should be.

This means he will still have to search for the small world when he gets to the area. And since he doesn’t have a tracking mark in the destination area, he can’t just jump there directly. He will have to take a series of space jumps in the general direction of the destination until he eventually reaches the particular area.

All of these went through his mind as he jumped into the third dimension. Then he picked a general direction to tear space through.

After coming out of the other side, he stopped to take his bearings. Then he turned in the general direction of his destination to make his next space jump.

Since the journey was going to be boring and might take a few weeks to complete, he made himself busy betting and earning money on the betting platform. He also spent some of his attention on his Cave Heaven to manage his farm.

While this was happening, Rusty was helping Amelia conquer the Earthly Battlefield, while Slav was incensed. Someone had just tried to kill him, so Slav felt justified about being angry.

But aside from anger, he was also afraid. His fear was mixed with his anger like sand polluting a bucket of water.

The fact that he was afraid also made him angrier, so his fear also began to contribute to his anger. However, no matter how angry he became, he knew that he had a good reason for being afraid.

When he thought of how he had been attacked as soon as he reincarnated, a terrifying possibility crept into his mind and refused to leave. The terrible possibility squatted in his mind like a fat toad, and it soured his mood.

Many things went through his mind as he thought to himself, saying, ’Have I been discovered by my enemies? That shouldn’t be so, seeing as I am still alive. If I had been discovered by an enemy, I would be dead by now.v

’But if it wasn’t an enemy who discovered me, who did? And how did they manage to discover me as soon as I reincarnated, while even Dao Lords couldn’t find me?’

’And what was that strange mark? I have never seen the Dao marks of that kind before. Does it belong to a new pathway? Does that mean a new Dao Lord is involved in this matter? Could that Dao Lord have noticed that I destroyed the mark?’

He had so many questions but very few answers. The worst part is that he is handicapped and can’t use the strongest means in his possession to find the answers he needed, or at least make the situation better for him. So he could only ask himself questions while fretting.

He knows that a reincarnated Dao Lord shouldn’t fret so much. But based on what he has experienced to put him in this sorry state and the people he is trying to escape from, he doesn’t think that his current reaction is an overreaction.

In fact, he believes that his current reaction is most appropriate for his circumstances. Especially since this method of reincarnation that he created should have been able to escape the notice of everyone and let him return without drawing any attention, yet he was discovered as soon as he reincarnated.

At the end of his tirade of questions, he asked himself, saying, ’What now? What do I do?’

’Do I still continue towards the Myriad Phenomenon Sect after knowing that a Dao Lord is probably aware of my existence? What if that Dao Lord exposes me?’

Then he shook his head and said, ’But what choice do I have? It is not like there is anything else I can do to stop a Dao Lord right now. I can only hide while hoping for the best.’

’So the plan remains that I advance to rank 5. Then I become a divine being. Once I become a divine being, my powerful Cave Heaven should make me invincible among divine beings.’

’In the meantime, I should try to suppress this source of bad luck. I think I can come up with a talisman for it.’

His plan remained the same after reviewing his circumstances. But he had to make some slight changes to his evaluation of the person who was aware of him when he discovered that there was a new Dao Lord called the Sword God.

Since the Sword God is a Dao Lord, he isn’t aware of, and the mark contained Dao marks that he wasn’t familiar with, the odds of the person who discovered him being the Sword God were high.

But this possibility made more questions appear unbidden in his mind. He began his tirade of questions by saying, ’But if he has discovered me, why does he not try to grab me? Is it because he doesn’t think that he can have me for himself? Or did he just use that mark to tell me to be careful?’

’But that mark possessed a power that was at most rank 6. That can’t be the power of a Dao Lord. The only way a Dao Lord would use that kind of power to reach out to me is if they can’t bear to do anything more powerful, either for fear of alerting others or for other reasons.’

’Or could it be another person entirely that found me? Could it be just some random divine being? But how did they find me in the first place?’
