THE GOD EATER

Since he wanted the will of the world to help him manage his farm, he didn’t consider using up the essence in the world heart to grant the potential to cultivate to as many creatures as possible. Instead, he immediately decided to foot the bill and leave the essence of the world heart completely intact.

Now that the world heart has gained access to infinite energy, it will be able to grow stronger much faster than expected. And with him giving the will of the world directions, it won’t go astray or do anything wasteful.

Since his lifespan was limited, he picked the biggest creatures to invest in. All in all, he picked one thousand large animals and spent a thousand years of his lifespan helping them cultivate.

So he had given these creatures the best potential for cultivation possible. He felt comfortable doing this because the lifespan that he spent won’t go to waste and because these one thousand creatures were the best of the best and apex predators in their various habitats, so the chances of them dying young are very low.

After he was done, he sighed in relief and said, “That’s that for now. There is still more work to be done, but I will only continue when I have more lifespan.”

He was still thinking about what he had just done for the creatures of his world when he remembered the moment he also became capable of cultivating. This made him say, “Could this be how the awakening is done?”

As he thought of this possibility, he chuckled and said, “I won’t be surprised if this is how it was done. No wonder the sect always wanted us to pay for the awakening. It clearly isn’t free to help others cultivate, and they are not like me, who can eat anything without having indigestion.”

“Besides, even if it is free, which I think is likely, I doubt the sects would truly do it free of charge for us. They are only helping us awaken. They are not actually giving us the potential to cultivate, so whatever it costs to awaken us must not be expensive.”

“But I doubt they will be honest about charging us for the awakening. With the way they operate, it is just like them to find a way to fleece us.”

He amused himself some more about how greedy the five sects were for a while longer. Then he got back to work managing his farm.

The next ability he discovered in the world heart was the creature creation ability. This is the ability to create living creatures by transforming nonliving objects in the surrounding environment into living creatures.

The living creatures created this way would be elemental creatures. It would require another investment of lifespan to convert them into new races made of flesh and blood. The sand people he met in his last Heavenly Battlefield are an example of this kind of elemental creature.

Since the elemental creatures only require energy to create, and he had a lot of energy to spare, he decided to give this creature creation ability a go.

In fact, he did more than give it a go. He infused as much energy as he had into everything to convert them into elemental creatures. Even the cloud that the will of the world just created was converted into a cloud elemental.

This time, his work took a lot longer to complete. This was because he had a lot of viable options to use the creature creation ability on, and he had no reason to hold back on creating more of these creatures.

It was more than an hour later before he was done. When he was done, he clapped his hands in satisfaction and said, “Slow and steady wins the race.”

“I am creating elemental creatures and helping a thousand creatures to start cultivation today, but in a thousand years, I might have dragons. Wouldn’t that be the dream?”

“As a mortal, I searched far and wide for dragons and found nothing. But as a divine being, I might raise my own dragons to eat. Wouldn’t that be great? I can’t wait.”

It seems that every day since he became a divine being, he has been discovering new and more things that set him apart from his mortal self.

Just earlier, what stood out as a difference between himself as a divine being and himself as a mortal was how easy it had been for him to help a mortal become a divine being. So he has become strong enough to create many divine beings like himself.

However, he soon found himself raising living things in the Cave Heaven that he created with his mind. Not only that, but he now has the right to look forward to living up to 1,000 years in the future.

This made him chuckle and say with pride, “I guess I have come very far from when I was a mortal. Not only can I venture into space and visit worlds, but I can eat those worlds or use them to raise creatures for me to eat.”

Then he remembered something, which made him say, “Speaking of raising creatures to eat. I should help more mortals advance to rank 6. Now that I am strong enough, it is just right that I give back to the community.”

As he said this, he took out his token. Then he used it to put up a mission. The mission was that he was willing to help rank 5 cultivators advance to rank 6.

He wrote, “As long as you have your mutated Life Ability and a small world that you can use to create your small world, I will help you do everything that needs to be done up to the point of your advancement.”

“There is no restriction on the pathway. If you succeed in becoming a divine being, you will be required to give me 10% of the lifespan you earn every day.”
