THE GOD EATER

This singular clash between them kicked up a lot of dust. The storm of swords kicked up dust when it shredded everything it encountered, and the enemy also kicked up dust when they smashed into the ground.

The dust that the enemy kicked up was mostly green, as that was the color of the soil, while the dust that the sword storm kicked up was made of many colors because the storm had cut up too many different kinds of things and blown them away.

These two dust clouds stood between the two parties, but couldn’t obscure their vision of each other. The two of them gazed at each other with scrutiny and curiosity.

The sword cultivator was a man. He had a body carved out of a silvery metal, and his skin shone with a smooth sheen. His hair was a mess of small swords. The swords were as small as knives and were silver in color, similar to the skin of the swordsman.

They looked at the enemy with wariness in their gaze. They were wary of the enemy because the enemy hadn’t behaved like a rank 6 divine being just now.

A rank 6 divine being should be near death and hurriedly healing themselves after that attack. At least, that has been their experience fighting other rank 6 beings.

But the enemy didn’t seem injured. So the situation felt strange for them.

After the dust settled, the divine being was finally able to get a good look at the enemy. What they saw was a black humanoid being with a body that appeared to be made of metal like his. But the metal that made up their body was black, while his was silvery gray.

The enemy was also big. In fact, the enemy was a giant. They looked twice as big as he was and three times as muscular.

As he watched, he confirmed that the enemy was injured. This was because he could see deep grooves all over the enemy’s body where his swords had cut.

So despite the incredible defense of the enemy, they had still been injured by his attack. This gave him some confidence in the outcome of this fight.

He became so confident that he didn’t even flinch when he saw the deep grooves on the body of the enemy heal and close. The enemy was clearly removing every trace of his attack, but it cost them some of their lifespan to do so, so it was a good thing for him.

At this point, he had confirmed that the enemy was a divine being like him. This was because they had a golden flame burning above their head.

He was also able to confirm that the enemy was most likely a rank 6 being because they only have one star in their Life Fire. Their situation is not like his.

This golden flame is the manifestation of their Life Fire, not the true Life Fire. So if the Life Fire goes out, this golden flame will also go out. And since they only have one star in their Life Fire, it is possible for him to put out the Life Fire.

He is sure that it won’t be easy to put out both the Life Fire and the manifested holy flame since they are both rank 6. But he is confident that if he puts in the work, putting out both the Life Fire and the golden flame can be done. Fortunately for this person, this is not his goal for now.

So he smiled at the enemy and said, “You have impressive strength for a rank 6. It seems you’ve used your Divine Metac to raise their stat to 6 units. That shows you’re no ordinary person.”

“I myself am extraordinary. So I should know an extraordinary person when I see one.”

Then he looked at the white trail of emptiness that Loki had left and said, “It would be a shame for such an extraordinary person as you to die here. Fortunately, we can avoid that. You just have to let me enter the core of your Cave Heaven and see what’s going on in there.”

In response, Loki laughed. As he laughed, his eyes roamed through what the Power Identification Ability was showing him.

Race: Sword Spirit

Available Lifespan: 1446

Cultivation Rank: 6

Cave Heaven: ??? million square kilometers

Body: 6

Soul: 5.5

Mind: 5.5

Will: 6

Insight: 6

Law Fragment(Amplification): ???

DIVINE METAC(RANK): Sword Storm(6). Sword Mountain(6).

When he saw the ??? appear for law fragments and Cave Heaven, he knew that this was because the Cave Heaven had been restricted in the second heaven.

He also knew that while the swordsman wouldn’t be able to use their Cave Heaven for power, it also meant that he wouldn’t be able to mark their Cave Heaven and use the Siphon Ability on them.

But this didn’t discourage him from the fight. Not even the possibility that he might not be able to kill this rank 6 swordsman could discourage or intimidate him.

After laughing, he said, “So you’re talented? What of it?”

Then he leapt from the ground and rushed at the swordsman.

This time, he didn’t use 6(Cultivation Rank) × 6(Body) × 6(Nanite), which is 216 units of power. Instead, he used the 6(Cultivation Rank) × 6(Body) × (6(Nanite) + 6(Gold Body)), so his power was 432 units.

His power had increased by 100%, but outwardly, nothing had changed about him. So the rank 6 swordsman still didn’t take him seriously.

In response to his aggression, the swordsman sneered and said, “Fine. Be that way. Since you want death, I will give you death.”

As he spoke, he raised his sword and swung it down. Phantom swords flickered into existence around him and swung together with his silver sword.

This storm of swords rushed at Loki again. He still used the same 7

6(Cultivation Rank) × 6(Will) × 6(Sword Storm), so the power of the attack was at 216 units.

This is the exact amount of power that Loki used to defend himself earlier. So Loki shouldn’t have been injured at all.
