Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 395: Domain Clash

”Are you sure the last piece is here, Grey?” Everyone turned towards Grey. He was looking back at a huge building with a deadpan look on his face.

It was a night club.

”Why are you guys doubting him? It’s right here.” Little Hong tilted her head in confusion. She pointed her small finger directly at the flashy neon signs of the Night Club dominating the northern region.

Everyone’s lips twitched.

For a split moment they didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. Getting the eastern seal had been a standard affair. The western seal had been floating in a sub dimension of the first layer, completely untouched by the western region vanishing into nothingness. They had gathered both with ease. Now, only the northern region seal remained.

And it just happened to be right beside a thumping night club.

Grey coughed. ”Everyone, we will enter the night club if you guys ever so desire after we are done with the chaos seals.”

”...” Lia stood next to him with a brilliant smile on her face. Her fingers reached out and ruthlessly pinched her boyfriend’s waist.

”You know that doesn’t hurt right? You might not know this but I have 1 million power in Lord gam... I mean I am as strong as a fifth rank.” Grey said while flicking the bangs of his long white hair back.

”Oh yeah?” Lia glared at him. The smile on her face grew even wider. Then, without a single ounce of hesitation, she lunged forward and bit down hard on Grey’s shoulder.

CHOMP!

”...” The others seeing this scene fell completely silent.

These two absolutely could not be placed in the same room together or else unimaginable things would happen. It had only been a few hours since they started looking for the remaining seals. Yet, they had been exposed to this public display countless times already.

At this rate, if Little Hong was not standing right there, those two might have already done something far more shameless.

”If you enter that night club, then it will be with me.” Lia added with a sweet smile.

”On the other hand, let us not go there at all.” Grey said with a dry cough as he pulled Lia into his arms.

”Are you ready for the last seal, my wife? You are already on the verge of another breakthrough.” Grey said with a smile.

Lia was currently sitting at the 2nd level of the fourth rank. She could actually reach the 3rd level after all the chaos seals in the Blue Star were gathered. The immense energy rushing into her system might even bring forth an unexpected transformation within her.

”Everyone, Little Hong, prepare yourselves. I will now make the secret realm that contains the chaos seal emerge.”

Everyone nodded. With their affirmation, Grey raised his hands. He reached into the empty air, his fingers hooking into the tightly packed spatial nodes hidden around the neon lit area. He violently pulled them apart.

SWISH!

The space tore open. Everyone entered the secret realm one by one. With a casual wave of Grey’s hand, the scenery blurred and shifted. Grey, Lia, Bai Yue, Eterna, and Little Hong materialized directly in the very center of the realmheart area.

Lia stepped forward. A brilliant light sparked from her forehead as her god seal emerged into the open air. The divine mark shone brightly, casting its golden rays deep into the pulsing core of the realmheart.

The realmheart began to tremble under the divine resonance. It slowly split open like a blooming lotus. A glowing, fragmented disc shot out from the very depths of the core. It sailed straight towards Lia like a lost child finding its mother.

There was no struggle or trial. As a god, Lia drew the seal in effortlessly because the origin of this chaotic power had always been tethered to her very existence.

The moment the disc left the core, the structural integrity of the secret realm shattered. The sky above them fractured into jagged glass shards. The ground gave way to an endless abyss. The entire secret realm collapsed rapidly. The immense repulsive force ejected everyone out of the collapsing pocket dimension and threw them directly into the raging, chaotic currents of the Blue Star’s sub dimension.

In the following moment, the fragmented disc converged into a singular point of light and sank directly into Lia’s forehead.

BOOM!

A blinding divine radiance erupted from Lia’s figure. Her god seal shone brighter than the sun itself, illuminating the dark sub dimension.

”Hm, the last seal is showing some resistance.” Grey said while glancing down at Little Hong. The young girl had already lost consciousness from the sheer pressure. A multi colored grey light was now revolving around her small body, protecting her from the raging currents. ”But with this, the assimilation was successful. The final piece has been taken.”

Bai Yue and Eterna looked at the glowing scene with deep anticipation.

But beneath that excitement, heavy worry gnawed at their minds.

”Lord Grey, my eyes tell me that taking this final piece away shows signs of an impending disaster. Are you sure that we should take this step?” Bai Yue inquired softly.

Her heavenly eyes pierced through the veil of reality. All she saw from this action was negative. It was a terrible, suffocating bad omen. She could not help but feel a chill run down her spine.

”It is fine.” Grey glanced indifferently at her. A calm, reassuring smile formed on his face.

Bai Yue possessed heavenly eyes that allowed her to see through fate, very much like his own abilities. But at the same time, the fate she saw and the fate Grey saw were two completely different concepts. Any fate she tried to predict while standing right beside him would simply never come true.

The threads of fate Grey perceived right now formed a wonderfully good omen. He was a fateless one. He could never be mistaken about these things unless Tian Yuan decided to descend upon this world once again. If that happened, massive and catastrophic changes would be done to the timeline. But Grey did not foresee that entity showing up anytime soon.

His calm train of thought was violently cut off. The chaotic currents of the first layer all around them suddenly began to rapidly collapse inward.

CRACK!

BOOM!

The chaos seal had finally reached its fully formed state. The sheer density of the merged parts suddenly flared out from Lia’s body. The immense shockwave of raw, unadulterated chaotic energy began to drastically destabilize the very fabric of the world around them.

Seeing the space twist and tear, Grey, Bai Yue, and Eterna immediately reacted.

Grey was the fastest. His immense power descended like a falling meteor. A heavy domain force erupted from his body, expanding outward to suppress the raging energy.

However, the fully formed Chaos Seal acted like a black hole. It ruthlessly swallowed up Grey’s domain force the exact moment it touched the chaotic light.

”Oh?” Grey’s eyes lit up in genuine interest seeing his power get eaten alive.

”If standard domain force does not work, then I will just unleash a domain clash.”

A domain clash was a phenomenon that usually only happened when two absolute domains collided and were on the verge of simultaneous formation. It was chaotic and destructive. Yet, Grey possessed the precise control to artificially imitate that exact explosive power to temporarily overpower anything in his path.

Grey brought his fingers together and formed a complex hand sign. Immediately, two glowing nexus patterns emerged and spun rapidly across his eyes.

”Domain expansion... #####”

The words uttered by Grey completely glitched out of existence. Reality itself began to heavily destabilize under the weight of his voice. The Chaos Seal shone with a defiant brilliance. It sent down a tidal wave of immense chaotic power rushing directly towards Grey and his team to crush them.

But Grey was faster. A new domain erupted from his figure with unimaginable, terrifying power. It spread like wildfire, swallowing up the entire sub dimension of the Blue Star within a single second. A majestic, starry sky themed power descended heavily onto the arrogant Chaos Seal from all four directions, completely locking it in place.

Grey did not even give the seal a fraction of a second to resist. He changed his hand sign, formed another seal, and swiftly took absolute control over the chaotic energy.

Without a single moment of hesitation, Grey shattered the surrounding spatial nodes. He grabbed hold of the newly formed Chaos Seal, an object now vastly bigger than a continent, and violently launched it directly into the dark void of outer space.
