Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 371: The Abyssal God: As Expected of My Rival

With his omniscient view from the mind perception, he saw many young Abyssal beings inside academies. They were actively learning how to invade other planes of existence to steal World Force for the Abyss. Many trained in the open fields with only one singular thought ingrained in their minds: the total extermination of the myriad races across the Endless Reality.

”To think they would teach little kids about the art of genocide.” Grey frowned as his consciousness swept through the many schools across the planet. The schools effectively taught them the weaknesses of all sorts of races and exactly how to slaughter them.

This society was more like a militant prison than a functioning civilization. It was built purely on violence, corruption, and the sole purpose of destruction.

”Do not think too much about it, Grey,” Fragment abruptly advised. ”Where there is good, there will naturally be a balancing evil in this universe. The Abyss is the great evil of existence, and the Abyssal God is the natural devil of this reality.”

”I know.” Grey spoke softly, yet his voice miraculously reverberated throughout the entire Abyssal planet beneath him.

Almost billions of Abyssal beings stopped what they were doing and stared up at the sky in unison at that exact moment.

”That is why I will not hesitate.”

Whrmm!

The space around the Abyssal dimension began to tremble violently.

Grey’s body rapidly expanded, and his human appearance melted away, transforming into the majestic and terrifying form of a True Dragon. His massive scales shifted and gleamed with cosmic light as the literal fabric of space around the plane began to tear and warp under his presence.

As of right now, his entire body was half the size of the entirety of this Abyssal planet.

The billions of Abyssal beings beneath the surface stared up in absolute terror at the sight of his majestic, world-ending presence.

A myriad race being had invaded.

It was a dragon.

And to make one’s body reach such a cosmic scale, the entity must be at least at the Early 5th Rank.

However, the Security Department, witnessing this apocalyptic scene, was quick with their hands.

They wanted to live. The aura radiating from Grey was no joke, and they knew they had to stop his advancement immediately if they wanted to survive the next minute.

They unleashed their top-tier planetary defense weapons at Grey.

Several high-ranking Abyssal beings rose to the outer space layer with terror written on their faces, preparing to engage.

The mechanized weapons and the Abyssal defenders unleashed their powers simultaneously, creating a barrage of energy meant to annihilate stars.

However, it was useless.

A terrifying static noise rang across the void, effectively erasing the laws of physics in that localized area. All the attacks sizzled out and missed him entirely.

”How pathetic.” Grey looked down at the Abyssal beings who were trying their hardest to escape death.

”Even the mighty Abyss feels fear, huh?” Grey smiled.

He lifted his colossal dragon claws and slowly, deliberately, gripped the lower hemisphere of the planet.

Crack!

The sound was not transmitted through air, but through the fabric of reality itself. It was the sickening sound of a celestial body’s spine snapping.

Like an egg being crushed by a hydraulic press, power poured through Grey’s hands, and the world effortlessly broke apart.

The entire world fell into an immediate cataclysm.

The tectonic plates, which had held the continents together for eons, buckled instantly under the pressure of the True Dragon’s grip. Massive fissures, thousands of miles wide, tore open across the surface, swallowing entire cities whole. Magma from the planet’s core erupted not as volcanoes, but as towering waves of molten rock that incinerated the atmosphere. The oceans boiled away in seconds, turning into superheated steam that flayed the skin off the billions of screaming Abyssal inhabitants. The structural integrity of the planet failed completely, causing the core to destabilize and the magnetic field to collapse, exposing the dying world to the raw, unfiltered radiation of the void.

It was total planetary liquefaction.

And in the next moment, Grey activated the Devourer of Chaos.

Whrmm!

A massive black hole formed around his claws. The debris of the shattered planet, along with the souls and bodies of its people, was directly sucked into the vortex. The area around his claws exploded with gravitational force as he devoured the celestial body completely.

A complete set of memories regarding the Abyssal planet surfaced in Grey’s mind.

This planet was known as Arion. It was originally a planet from a lesser plane of existence. The Abyss had conquered it, corrupted it, made it theirs, and pulled it over to the Abyssal Dimension.

The World Force of the planet bubbled rapidly within his body as it began nourishing his entire being.

Within seconds, his Soul Integrity shot up.

[Soul Integrity: 41%]

”It increased by six percent.” Grey mused with a thoughtful look as the energy within him began to bubble once more.

”Am I breaking through?” Grey was surprised.

”This is how Lesser Heavens grow stronger, Grey.” Fragment, who had also enlarged in size, revolved around Grey’s draconic body like a small moon. ”The Lesser Heavens devour and grow stronger.”

”Indeed.”

”Then, I will take that step.” Grey smiled.

He could already feel the tribulation clouds brewing within the Abyssal Dimension.

Within seconds, the tribulation had already descended.

Boom!

The Heavenly Dao was absolute. Not even the Abyssal God could reach its level yet, hence the Heavenly Dao could still enter the Abyss to enforce its laws.

The instant the tribulation fell, his elixir fields went out of control. The Nexus Energy within him began acting out violently.

This was the 2nd Tribulation of the Tribulation Realm: The Energy Tribulation.

Each strike of the lightning sent shockwaves across space. Grey gritted his teeth to control the chaotic energy, but the thing was, he possessed heaven-defying comprehension. Even if his energy went out of control, his comprehension allowed him to instantly find ways to wrestle it back into submission.

The following minute, the tribulation cloud dispersed.

Grey’s draconic form began to expand rapidly.

Before, he was only half the size of the planet. Now, he was just a bit away from reaching full planetary size.

”Was it that easy?” Fragment was dumbfounded.

”What can I say? I am built different.” Grey said with a laugh as he transformed back into his human form. He flicked his hair back in style.

Then, Grey locked his eyes onto a nearby planet not too far from the current one.

With his perception, he could see it clearly.

”We are inside the Abyssal-101 Lower World Cluster.”

”One of the thousand Lower World Clusters of the Abyss. Each cluster holds at least ten or more planets, and the highest limit a person here can reach is the peak of the 4th Rank. After that, they ascend to the Middle-World Cluster of the Abyssal Dimension along with their planet if they are a Lord.”

”Is that the information you obtained from scouring through their database?” Fragment asked.

”Yep.”

”Come, let us go to the other nearby planet and devour it too.” Grey said with a smile.

Fragment affirmed the plan, and the floating orb of flame and the human shot through the outer space of the Abyss, reaching out to the nearby planet to initiate another feast.

After some time, they finally reached the target.

”It does have a Lord at the 4th Rank.” Grey looked at the planet with interest.

Being planets of lower planes, they could be easily destroyed by him. However, with him reaching the Energy Tribulation stage, he was confident in deleting a normal Blue Star-sized planet inside the main world off the map with a single attack.

His power had already crossed the threshold of the 5th Rank.

His new path was just that powerful. And, cough... he as the Creator held too many perks that others did not have.

Shaking his thoughts away, Grey stared thoughtfully at the planet.

”Should I use Severance or the Nexus Ruination Art?”

”No, Nexus Ruination Art will be a bit too much overkill.” Grey shook his head and immediately formed a sword gesture directed at the planet down below. Dark and red mist covered its surface, and he felt the same amount of corruption radiating from this world as well.

”Severance.”

Grey’s voice dropped. Immediately, annihilation light and sword light combined and shot toward the planet.

This was his new skill, created by fusing Matter Annihilation and Sword Energy.

Boom! Whrmmm!

The instant the attack landed on the planet, reality broke down. The world did not just explode; it disassembled into grids as a violent, dark red color covered the entire surface.

Grey immediately activated the Devourer of Chaos and swallowed the grid-locked planet.

[Soul Integrity: 46%]

”Not bad.” Grey observed the changes. He was now a quarter full for the next level of tribulation.

”My evolutionary path is on a different level.”

”I might have to swallow three more planets to reach the power levels required to bring down the third tribulation.” Grey shook his head.

Just then, a chill ran down Grey’s spine.

A voice suddenly came from the side.

”Impressive. Destroying two worlds in the span of the few minutes you arrived in here.”

”As expected of my rival.”

Both Fragment and Grey had a drastic change of expression.

His instincts flared uncontrollably. The next moment, they both turned to stare at a being standing casually in the void.

He was dressed in simple, casual clothing, looking completely out of place in this hellscape. He had an indifferent look on his face and dark Abyssal eyes that formed concentric rings across his sclera.

He closely examined Grey.

Grey did not even need to ask who it was.

It was the Abyssal God.
