Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 378: You are not worthy

Boom!

Immense, world-breaking power erupted from Grey the instant he casually waved his hand downward. The energy rippled across the entirety of the Blue Star.

In the following moment, a miracle occurred. The massive Corruption Fields that had plagued the world for centuries began to rapidly collapse one by one.

The corrupted beasts and Corrupted beings within those zones began to rapidly disintegrate out of existence. The absolute, purifying presence of his Nexus Energy overpowered the entire surface of the Blue Star.

”W-What?” The remaining native experts widened their eyes in absolute disbelief.

If him unleashing his power and suppressing a 5th Rank being with a simple word was shocking enough, then this was on an entirely different dimensional level.

”What the hell is this?” The foreign, invading 4th Rank experts were absolutely tongue-tied seeing this scene.

For a split second, their brains stopped functioning.

Their home world had Corruption Fields too. But to think an energy field of pure corruption could actually be immediately cleansed away with a wave of a hand.

No, how was it even possible to cleanse a Corruption Field?

It was scientifically and statistically proven across the universe to be impossible. Corruption energy could not be fully cleansed from a world’s root. Not even a 5th Rank being was capable of doing that!

Origin Light Sera was likewise tongue-tied, staring at the rapidly clearing continents below.

”See that?” Grey spoke casually, breaking the silence.

”All it took me was a wave of my hand to suppress the Abyss and erase the Corruption Fields.” Grey said with a grin. ”That is my power.”

”What about you? Can you do what I just did?”

Origin Light Sera did not answer him. She looked down, her face pale and her lips trembling.

”I told you to answer my question,” Grey asked indifferently.

A crushing, localized pressure immediately descended onto Origin Light Sera, forcing her to her knees in mid-air.

”You dare harm my wife?!”

Just then, a beastly energy erupted from the crater below. Wang Bao rose into the air like a savage white tiger that wanted to swallow the world. Despite his broken limbs, domain force surged uncontrollably as he fully unleashed his power.

He had overloaded his domain to forcefully increase his power beyond his limits.

”Y-You... Wang Bao, are you crazy?!” Sera trembled, seeing this sight.

He had overloaded his domain! It was a suicide move.

Grey smiled coldly seeing the incoming attack.

He didn’t even move an inch.

The following moment, before Wang Bao could even cross half the distance, the absolute pressure of Grey’s presence slammed into him. Wang Bao coughed up a massive mouthful of blood and fell back to the ground like a broken kite, his domain shattering instantly.

”No! Wang Bao!” Sera cried out. She was visibly trembling in her spot, but the crushing pressure locked onto her made it impossible to move a muscle to help him.

”Lord Grey, please stop. Sister Sera is...” Even Bai Yue was terrified seeing this ruthless display and tried to intervene.

However, before she could speak another word, Grey simply raised his hand, his white hair fluttering in the wind.

Immediately, Bai Yue shut her mouth, sensing the absolute finality in his gesture.

”Now, I will ask you once again. can you do what I am capable of doing?” Grey leaned in closer to Sera and asked with an indifferent look on his face.

Sera looked at him with burning hate, yet she was forced to speak the truth. ”No. I cannot.”

”Exactly,” Grey replied, and the pressure around Sera immediately vanished, letting her gasp for air. ”You just had to answer it. It was a simple question.”

”Look around you.” Grey pointed at the world down below.

Everyone followed his gesture in unison.

Below them was the Blue Star. The planet they lived on.

”You lots are the renowned experts of the Blue Star. The supposed pillars that support mankind.”

”Yet, what have you actually contributed to this world?” A chilling smile formed on Grey’s face.

”High Order members ran rampant in the Starcrest Continent. You lots couldn’t clear the Corruption Fields properly, and you completely neglected the regions that weren’t your precious floating cities. If you guys had actually used the combined effort of all 4th Rank experts present here today, you could have, without a doubt, sealed away the Lesser Heaven in the Southern Region years ago and made it prosper again.”

”Yet, why didn’t I see any of you there? Are the lives of the millions down there nothing but ants to you all?”

Grey’s voice grew colder, his logic piercing through their hypocrisy.

”In fact, if I hadn’t interfered with the sealing process of the Western Region... if I hadn’t unleashed my power at the very last second to buy you all time to use the sealing array against the Grand Priest Leon and the lesser heaven, would you have won?”

”You couldn’t even take down the ice walls that Brandon Everhart built to seal the half of the planet away.”

”Ask yourselves.”

”Are you truly worthy of the titles you hold?”

Grey’s voice resounded throughout the entirety of the Blue Star. Before arriving here, Grey had already hacked into all of the Blue Star’s communication technology. He was actively livestreaming this exact scene to every screen, every city, and every citizen across the entire world.

It was time to fundamentally change the structure of this world, and he would start by publicly wiping away the rot at the top.

Hearing his speech, Sera was tongue-tied, and so were the other native experts.

There was no counter-argument to Grey’s words.

They had treated the lives of commoners below as mere ants. They had neglected what was truly important in favor of hoarding power in their floating cities.

Indeed. Did they truly deserve to be called the pillars of the Blue Star?

At the same time, a new realization struck them like a physical blow.

This man was the mysterious savior who had stepped in during the apocalyptic fight in the Western Region!

And he knew all about the matters of the ice wall and the western region!

They trembled, this man, he was waiting for the right moment to corner them all at once!

”You are not worthy.”

Grey’s voice echoed like the judgment of a god throughout the Blue Star.

”You, or anyone present here, are not worthy to criticize my people.”

”They moved strictly under my command. They placed their absolute trust in me. And when I say I will do something, I make sure that I make it happen.”

”Hence, criticizing them is equivalent to criticizing me.”

”And no one here is worthy to criticize me. I will make it abundantly clear right now. You all are entirely beneath me.”

”And let me remind you all of one final fact. I am just a seventeen-year-old kid from a little third-rate city called Nova City in the Southern Region.”

”The very same Southern Region you all neglected until now.”
