Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 885: Chapter 886: Lend Her Half a Day

That was An Hao.

In the past two years, the An Family had been thriving, with their greenhouse business booming.

As long as the An Family had income, An Shuchao would set aside ten percent for An Hao.

Therefore, An Hao still had quite a bit of money in her hands.

Add to that, Qin Jian’s salary, which was nearly two hundred yuan a month.

The two of them, husband and wife, were quite well-off.

Gu Shuangshuang didn’t need money now, but she had to give An Hao a heads up first.

So, she chose a day when Tian Niu was busy and took the military vehicle to the regiment headquarters.

As it turned out, An Hao wasn’t at home, she was at the town health clinic.

So, Gu Shuangshuang went there.

When she entered the consultation room, she saw An Hao busy at work, treating a patient’s wound.

She stitched the wound skillfully, tied a beautiful knot, and cut the suture with scissors.

Then she turned around, swiftly wrote two prescriptions, and after Yan Ye had signed them, she handed them to the patient, ”It’s just anti-inflammatory medication. Take it twice a day after you go back, two pills each time. Make sure the wound doesn’t get wet to avoid infection.”

A patient thanked An Hao for the medication and then left.

The consultation room quieted down, and it was then that Gu Shuangshuang stepped in, clapping her hands to acknowledge An Hao, ”That’s it, you can now be called Doctor An. You seem pretty skilled at suturing.”

When An Hao looked up and saw it was Gu Shuangshuang, she quickly greeted her with a smile, ”Come over and sit down, Teacher Yan. We were just talking about you this morning.”

Gu Shuangshuang greeted Yan Ye.

Yan Ye asked her with a smile, ”Are you so caught up in love that you really plan to graduate after five years?”

Gu Shuangshuang chuckled, ”Teacher Yan, when did you start having such expectations for me? Are you eager for us to graduate sooner so the school can save some money?”

”You don’t recognize kind intentions,” An Hao teased laughingly, ”Teacher Yan heard about it and wanted you to reunite with your sweetheart sooner, didn’t he? If you graduate earlier and start working sooner, you can go find Tian Niu earlier.”

Gu Shuangshuang bowed respectfully to Yan Ye and said, ”Thank you, Teacher Yan. You should resolve your own marital issues first!”

”No rush,” he wouldn’t marry easily until he met the right person.

”Any later, and you’ll truly become an old bachelor,” Gu Shuangshuang teased cheerfully and then said to him, ”Don’t be mad, Teacher Yan! I came here today to ask for leave. I want to borrow An Hao for half a day, is that okay?”

”Of course, it is,” Yan Ye readily agreed.

An Hao changed her clothes and came out of the health clinic with Gu Shuangshuang.

As they walked, An Hao asked, ”Do you need something from me?”

”Of course. I want to borrow some money from you. But not right now,” Gu Shuangshuang said.

”Okay,” An Hao checked her watch, as it was getting late, ”Let’s go find a place to eat. We can talk over the meal!”

An Hao took Gu Shuangshuang to a relatively clean small restaurant in town.

It wasn’t far from the health clinic.

Because people often came here for medical treatment, by noon, the restaurant would start to fill up with diners.

The two of them found a table and sat down. An Hao ordered two servings of dumplings and a vegetable dish, and they chatted while eating.

Gu Shuangshuang discussed her situation with Tian Niu to An Hao.

”Your mom really doesn’t approve, setting up all these obstacles for Tian Niu.” Indeed, An Hao felt worried for Gu Shuangshuang.
