Under the moonlight stood a girl, with a crimson dagger dancing between the fingertips like a butterfly in flight. Her eyes, carrying swirling vortexes of varying color, gazed silently at the shattered, fragmented Starry Sky above.

She was Shea, the most terrifying genius to rise within the Demon Court in the past year.

And it was not an overstatement.

As for just how terrifying was she? Even the Divine Tree rooted quietly not far from her, a frost-covered, breathtakingly beautiful Tree, couldn’t help but narrow her eyes slightly.

“Shea, put away those Eyes of Death…” A gentle reminder rang out, and from within the Divine Tree stepped a noble figure, wrapped in silver robes, graceful, dignified.

This was Immortal Osmanthus, a famed Divine Tree within the Demon Court. One of the rare Tier-6 Overlords.

However, even a being as powerful as her felt a chill creep into her Soul in the face of Shea’s Eyes of Death.

A haze of death seemed to linger in the air.

“No wonder the world calls you ‘the girl who can slay even Gods,. stated Osmanthus with a trace of incomprehensible awe in her voice, breathing a sigh.

The Gods were notoriously difficult to kill. Most were merely sealed away, suppressed forever.

However, this girl was someone who had the power to even slay the Gods, erase their very existence.

This was Shea, the girl who once stood before the representatives of the Myriad Races of the universe, and calmly declared, “As long as it lives, even if it’s a God, I can kill it.”

That day, various Forces had gathered to hunt down the remnants of the Elemental Clan.

Against the Elemental Clan’s elusive technique of Elementalization, countless powerhouses were at their wits’ end.

However, then entered the picture, Shea, the short-haired, black-eyed girl clad in a black coat, and with a blood-colored dagger in hand.

With every step she took, a head rolled.

In a hundred steps, she exterminated the last of the Elemental Clan.

Even the mighty Tier-5 Elementals could not endure a single strike.

And the Elemental Race’s proudest ability, Elementalization, was like wet paper before her.

Many witnessed it, a Water Elemental, a Half-Step Overlord, fused inseparably with the sea, felled by a single casual slash, withering like a flower in bloom.

What she severed was not just vitality, it was the root of the existence itself.

So, it was no surprise that the eerie Elementalization technique of the Elementals, the impregnable defense of the Titan Clan, all of it crumbled before her.

And when Shea beheaded that Half-Step Elemental, she looked into his disbelieving eyes and uttered the words that now echoed throughout the stars, “As long as it lives, even if it’s a God, I can kill it.”

Her declaration was arrogant, arrogant beyond belief.

However, no one dared question it, because she had the power to back it up.

As a matter of fact, for her repeated acts of suppressing turmoil across the galaxies, the Demon Court bestowed her with a reward: the Twilight Bloom, a dagger forged from Phoenix-Blood Purple Gold. It was so exquisite that it seemed as if it was not made by any Mortal.

This was a Tier-6 Artifact.

It held no devastating killing power, nor did it possess great DIvine Ability. It only had a surreal beauty, the inherent indestructibility and regeneration of Divine Metal, and elegance.

With the Eyes of Death, Shea didn’t need a powerful weapon, even a wooden stick in her hand could be used to kill a God.

The Twilight Bloom was just an ornamental Artifact that was just there to make her act of slaughter appear beautiful and elegant.

Every time blood splattered through the air, a Phoenix’s cry would echo through the Heavens, and a blood-colored Phoenix would unfurl its wings behind her, making her figure glow like a divine goddess of war.

“Phoenix Princess.” That was the second title she had earned in her year-long rise.

Though others preferred to call her the ‘Blood Maiden,’ because everywhere she walked, the earth turned red.

She had only set foot in the starry skies for a year, but the number she had slain surpassed what others could not match in ten—or even a hundred years.

…

At that moment, heeding Osmanthus’ request, Shea finally withdrew her Eyes of Death, revealing a pair of pure, black eyes that gleamed with clarity.

“When will the Divine Tree return?”

“It won’t be long now. He could be back in two to three years at the earliest, or within four to five at the latest,” Osmanthus replied frankly and directly.

But just then, as if recalling something, she looked at Shea with curiosity, “Why are you looking for the Supreme Lord?”

“The Eternal Dragon said… ‘He’ll tell me the meaning of my existence.’”

Shea’s reply rendered Osmanthus tongue-tied.

However, if one looked closely, they’d see her eye twitch involuntarily.

Others might not know, but she, the all-hearing, all-seeing Immortal Osmanthus, certainly did.

That so-called Eternal Dragon was none other than her Master himself.

[So, another genius has been tricked by Master into following him, huh…] She chuckled silently to herself, but it was nothing new to her.

[Time would prove everything! And Master’s judgement has already been proven again and again. The Ten Great Beasts of the past have now all become names that shook the stars. More importantly, those veiled in shadow, like Avril, the Fallen Angel from the Divine and Demonic Breeding Ground; Quinn of Shades, the King of Knights; the God-Devouring Rat; and within the Society of Demons and Fiends, the Dark King, Monster Zerom, each and every one of them is a terror known throughout the cosmos. And all of them were personally cultivated by Master.]

[However, compared to these legends, this girl, Shea, might be even more terrifying. She could very well stand shoulder to shoulder with legends like Old Fifth.]

Osmanthus could not help but sigh in her heart, unable to hide her admiration.

[A legend is born in each generation. In the past, it was the Master, who shook the stars and single-handedly raised the Demon Court to power. Then came Golden Ant, who defied the odds and, as a mere Tier-5, slew a Tier-6 Overlord, carving a name that catapulted the Society of Demons and Fiends into a second-tier Force. And now, another has appeared: Shea, the Phoenix Princess, a pure and resolute girl.]

Smiling softly, Osmanthus raised a delicate hand and plucked a few leaves from her own branches, leaves refined to the utmost, like flawless jade.

“These are Silverfrost Leaves. They’ll protect your Spirit.”

“….” Shea remained silent, staring blankly at Osmanthus. [Another gift…]

She had only been in the Demon Court for a year, and yet, she’d lost count of how many gifts she had received.

Quinn, the girl who could summon lightning from her fingertips to kill in an instant, had given her a rare silver coin.

Brewmaster, the greatest smith of the Demon Court, had crafted for her a Tier-6 Artifact, the Twilight Bloom.

Nine Tails, the current in-charge of the Demon Court, had gifted her enchanted glasses that could suppress the power of her Eyes of Death.

One after another… she had been showered with gifts, so much so that she could barely remember them all.

And perhaps it was just her imagination, but it felt as though everyone in the Demon Court treated her with special care.

But could anyone blame them? After having been alerted by Snake Queen and Nine Tails, the upper echelon of the Demon Court knew that Master intended to take Shea as a Personal Disciple.

And a Personal Disciple was not like an ordinary Disciple. A Personal Disciple was one who could inherit their Master’s Dao.

Although the Master already had two named Disciples, he had never taken a Personal Disciple.

And that alone was reason enough for everyone to treat her this kindly.
