“The Spear of Fate, Longinus…” murmuring, Yu Zi Yu’s corners of eyes couldn’t help but twitch.

[If memory serves me right, Anzuiel had mentioned it once. And even then, his voice trembled. The Sixteen Holy Wings is a marvelous Artifact, truly. With it, I can soar through Heaven and descend into the Underworld. No barrier can hold me. Not even an army of millions can block me. No Formation, no matter how intricate or ancient, can cage me. And yet… he feared the Spear of Longinus.]

[Well, there is reason for fear. It’s no ordinary Artifact. It’s entangled too deeply with fate and destiny. Once it has fully recovered, not even the Sixteen Holy Wings could escape its grasp. It was never about strength. Not really. Longinus was just his natural bane, an insurmountable bane. Only the few legendary Defensive Imperial Artifacts, those famous for their impregnable defense can hope to stand before it without faltering. Perhaps the Tai Chi Diagram, the old pride of the Heavenly Court… If it still existed, then maybe, just maybe, it would have been able to stop Longinus.]

“Is it really that terrifying?” Yu Zi Yu asked gingerly in a probing voice.

“…” A long pause ensued.

Then, for once, Anzuiel let out a soft, weary sigh and advised, “Just don’t let it mark you…”

“Got it…” That one statement told Yu Zi Yu all he needed to know.

[If even Anzuiel has conceded to it, then truly, the Spear of Longinus is unimaginably terrifying. Moreover, Longinus has also left a huge scar on Anzuiel. After all, even the Lord himself had once been impaled by that very spear!]

*Hoooo…* Taking a long deep breath, Yu Zi Yu steadied his racing thoughts.

Then, his expression settled into a calm smile.

“Anzuiel,” Yu Zi Yu called.

.

“What now?” Confused, Anzuiel slowly lifted his gaze.

“Let’s go, I’ll take you to kill someone.”

Then, without waiting for a reply, he continued, “This time, I walk the stars as a Seraph. The Angels are one of the three pillars of the Heavenfall Alliance. It’s only natural for the Fifth Seraph to personally crusade against the Dark Expanse. After all, the Supreme Lord of the Demon Court has already suppressed the Elemental Clan.”

Anzuiel listened to Yu Zi Yu in silence. But as the pieces fell into place, his expression turned… odd.

“Following your logic, does that mean the Titans will have to subdue the First Tower of the World?”

“Hahaha…If they can… let them try.” And with that laughter, he no longer suppressed his strength.

*Booooom…* A thunderous explosion erupted. Brilliant light exploded outward, illuminating multiple Star Systems in vicinity.

The next moment, eight golden, illusory wings, each vast enough to blot out the stars.

They streaked through the starry void, straight toward the Dark Expanse, carrying a figure.

…

Not long after this, the Dark Expanse, that eerie galaxy which had known nothing but shadow since the moment of its birth, shook violently.

A blinding light descended from the distant reaches of the cosmos.

It was so piercing, so radiant that it seemed to have the potential to illuminate half of the Dark Expanse.

“What is that…?”

“Damn it! That light—”

“Run! Run, now!”

One terrified cry followed another, as countless figures, who had long accustomed to living in the darkness, began to melt like snow before a blazing sun. Wisps of black mist rose where they had stood.

Simply because, the light was extremely sudden, but what made it more terrifying, it was holy.

Furthermore, the Netherborns were a race born from death itself. They held an instinctive fear toward the Light Attribute.

And now, a blinding holy light was actually illuminating the Dark Expanse.

It was easy to imagine what kind of despair gripped the Netherborns’ hearts.

*Booom…* The light intensified with every passing moment, blooming at the edge of the starry expanse.

It surged like a tidal wave, crashing toward the Dark Expanse.

Everything, absolutely everything, in its path began to dissolve, like frost beneath the morning sun.

However, this was not an act of destruction, it was purification.

There was an essential difference between purifying filth and darkness, and the act of killing.

The holy light did not destroy life directly.

Instead, it stripped every ounce of darkness from the flesh, from the Soul.

And the Netherborns were a creature of darkness.

If they were purified, even if they didn’t die, it was no different than death for them.

For at least, their strength would be halved.

It was precisely what Yu Zi Yu intended.

Without any Karmic Burden, without suffering any sin of slaughter, he would destroy half of the Netherborns.

It was a perfect outcome.

Right then…

“Why… Why can you bypass our Formations!?”

“Damn you! Are you Angels truly declaring war upon the Netherborsn!?”

One after another, roars, teeming with fury, resounded from the depths of the Dark Expanse.

At the same time, dozens of radiant streaks tore through the darkness, heading toward the source of the light.

Among them, two streaks stood out the most. The aura they were radiating was extremely terrifying, rivaling a typical Tier-6.

As one of the oldest clans in the cosmos, Netherborns had more than just the Nether God and Nether Dragon.

“Hehe…” However, Yu Zi Yu only chuckled softly. He didn’t take them seriously.

*Boooom…* The sixteen golden wings upon his back flapped once more.

Apocalyptic storms gathered at their tips, and in the blink of an eye, they surged forward like a catastrophic flood.

Sweeping across the stars, the engulfed everything.

The storms roared so fiercely that it shook the entire Dark Expanse.

And that was the power of the Sixteen Holy Wings, The Wind of the World.

Drawing the storms into themselves, they then unleashed it as a tempest that engulfed the entire world.

*Boooom, boooom…* Accompanied by terrifying thunderous roars, storms raged through the territory of the Netherborns.

The vast and majestic storm reduced everything to dust, and then to nothingness.

The dozens of streaks zooming toward Yu Zi Yu hadn’t even reached him, before they were devoured by the storm.

“This kind of power…”

“How can this be possible…?”

Cries of agony, screams of disbelief filled the starry expanse, but all were drowned by the howling storm.

Such was the might of the Sixteen Holy Wings.

Without an equivalent Imperial Artifact to shield them, the powerhouses of Netherborns were no more than Ants.

But perhaps… they had only ever been Ants and nothing more.

The awakening of the Nether God Armor, which was the foundation of the Netherborns, was not as simple as consuming their foundation.

Its complete awakening meant that the entire Netherborns had nothing to protect them.

Consequently, this also implied that the Netherborns would met a swift and unstoppable end at the hands of Yu Zi Yu, no, the Fifth Seraph, Alarion.
