To put it another way, Jianmu’s kindness was not merely present, it was immense, a benevolence beyond all reckoning.

In fact, even the Sixteen Holy Wings suspected Yu Zi Yu was a singular Dao Protector, handpicked by Jianmu.

[A Dao Protector, not for his physical form, but for his very True Spirit. The demise of Jianmu was likely be inevitable. Yet, if Jianmu sought to escape this fate, its sole recourse was to sever its True Spirit from its main body, granting the Spirit an opportunity for rebirth and renewed cultivation.]

[This alone could explain the extraordinary favor Jianmu bestowed upon him. Furthermore, this young one had reciprocated Jianmu’s grace in no small measure. His act of relinquishing the legacy of the Heaven-Connecting Jianmu was a debt almost impossible to repay. In essence, these two Divine Trees, though never having met in person, were already profoundly intertwined, their destinies almost inseparable.]

Contemplating this, Anzuiel fell into a thoughtful silence.

[It is no wonder he is so torn!] However, as if a sudden thought sparked, Anzuiel proposed, “Instead of tormenting yourself with this, why not journey there yourself?”

“Go there!?” Yu Zi Yu was shocked, his voice tinged with doubt.

“Yes.” Asserting once again, Anzuiel added, “With your current strength, combined with mine, heading to the Grand Central Sector should take no more than 3-5 years. Once there, you can ask Jianmu yourself… I believe it will give you a satisfying answer…”

Hearing Anzuiel’s suggestion, a trace of clarity dawned upon Yu Zi Yu.

[Yes! Instead of brooding over it, why not go and meet her?] As he made this decision, he got a strange feeling, more like intuition, that Jianmu wanted him to take action.

This feeling came without warning.

However, Yu Zi Yu found no displeasure in it, for it felt like a whisper of destiny itself, as if a voice murmured in his ear, ‘Do not hold back…’

Hoooo… Exhaling deeply, a resolute and determined expression settled upon his face as he declared, “After suppressing the Netherborns, the Heavenly Court, and the others, I will proceed to the Central Sector.”

“En…” Anzuiel nodded, stating with a smile, “Then your time is limited… Reaching the Central Sector will take three to five years… and the Day the Heaven Falls is just over two decades away. You can afford to spend approximately ten years at most suppressing the Netherborns and the Heavenly Court…”

“That is enough.” Yu Zi Yu replied crisply, his eyes glinting with cold resolve.

Then, he admitted frankly, “Initially, I intended to further temper my Forces… but now it appears best to strike immediately…”

Saying so, Yu Zi Yu glanced toward Nine Tails, Empress Ling Er, and the others in the distance and gave the command, “Search with full effort for the headquarters of the Heavenly Court and the First Tower of the World… If any news comes up, report to me immediately.”

Accepting the command with a unified “Yes, Master,” Nine Tails and Ling Er swiftly retreated.

…

As Yu Zi Yu contemplated Jianmu, unbeknownst to him, far away in the depths of the starry expanse, within the Central Sector…

A Towering Tree, so vast it blotted out the sun and sky, began to sway.

Immense and breathtaking, it possessed a striking likeness to a titanic Ox, appearing to bear the weight of Heavens and Earth.

Its bark, a canvas etched with thread-like yellow patterns that evoked the image of yellow snakes, cloaked its entirety in a strange, ethereal beauty.

Yet, the most striking feature was its leaves, upon which patterns like scattered stars intersected and pulsed with divine light.

It radiated an aura of deep mystery and otherworldly transcendence.

And this was the Heaven-Connecting Jianmu.

Her end was beyond sight, as if she truly joined Heaven and Earth.

With every soft sway, ripples propagated through space, an unending surge that stretched into the distant reaches.

“Thinking about him again, aren’t you?” An ancient voice echoed from some mysterious place.

At this moment, if one looked up, they would see two figures within this extraordinarily enigmatic space

One was a Towering Tree, and the other was shrouded in a hazy white light, which completely obscured their appearance.

The only thing one could vaguely make out that this mysterious figure seemed to possess a flawless physical form. Even her skin shimmered with a faint crystal-like glow.

Only vaguely could one make out that this ethereal figure seemed to possess a flawless physical form… Even her skin emanated a dim, crystalline luminescence, and the fleeting glimpse of her appearance was like a beauty that had transcended time.

This was also the Heaven-Connecting Jianmu.

However, one was the True Body, and the other was the marvelous Dharma Avatar born out of cultivation.

The two were distinct yet one, separate yet whole.

It was a mystery beyond common comprehension.

Simply put, one was the physical form, which had gradually gained sentience; the other was the Soul… harboring all thoughts and emotions.

One could also say that the Soul was split in two. One part remained in the main body, slowly being nurtured anew, while the larger portion had formed the Dharma Avatar.

“Yes…” Replying softly, the figure with the flawless body explained with a smile, “I originally thought he was remarkable, but not to this extent. Who would’ve thought, in just a few decades, he would reach the Seventh Order, enough to rival a Hegemon? He truly exceeded all my expectations…”

Hearing this, the ancient voice sighed in admiration, “I didn’t expect it either…”

But just then, as if recalling something, the ancient voice asked with curiosity, “Now that he’s broken through… is this our opportunity?”

“It is.” Nodding slightly, the graceful figure replied truthfully, “If he’s willing to protect me… then I need not worry about my safety. After all, beneath the starry skies, those who can threaten him are few. No, perhaps none have even appeared yet…

But, by doing so, he’ll also be in danger. Being targeted by all races would be inevitable…”

Hearing this, the ancient voice rang out once more, “Danger and opportunity always come together… If he can truly protect you, then what he’ll gain will far surpass his imagination. And besides, we haven’t given him little either.”

“Indeed…” Breathing a sigh, the graceful figure looked toward the nearby tree shadow, her eyes shimmering with emotion.

That was the other ‘him.’

Unfortunately, the moment he was born, he was already doomed.

To put it simply, he was created for one purpose: to die in her place.

Since the fall of Jianmu was inevitable, then creating a substitute to die for her was the best solution.

This way, even the Heavenly Dao could be deceived.

However, what she did not expect was that, in just a few decades, the ‘him’ had gained full sentience, and even treated her like his Master.

And now, she found herself reluctant.

*Haaaa…* With a long sigh, her expression grew even more complicated.

However, it no longer mattered.

What mattered now was that all races seemed to be making their moves.

In other words, the day Jianmu would be cut down was not far off.

Author’s Note: Everyone can make their own interpretation, I can try to give you a simple explanation.

Jianmu has only one True Body, but two Souls.

You could call them Souls, or Soul-like existences.

One is him—a fragment of Soul, still connected to the body. As the main body continues to nourish it, this fragment has grown stronger.

The other is her—the one who carries the vast majority of the Soul and comprehension… transformed into a Dharma Avatar that surpasses ordinary Souls. She’s akin to the Divine Spirit of a Sacred Artifact.
