A bitter smile tugged at the corners of Yu Zi Yu’s lips, but he ultimately decided to cast his thoughts aside.

Compared to the mysteries of the Supreme Principles, he was far more interested in reaching the Dark Expanse and suppressing the Netherborns.

Of course, he had no plan to inform the Sixteen Holy Wings that he had touched the threshold of two Supreme Principles for now.

Though their bond was one of both mentor and friend, everyone had secrets they were unwilling to reveal.

And Yu Zi Yu, too, wanted to hold a few cards close to his chest.

Right now, the most important of those cards was his Purple Dragon Form, slumbering within the Void Space, growing stronger at a pace visible to the naked eye under the guidance of the Supreme Principle of Infinity.

It was a formidable card that could even be used to counter Sixteen Holy Wings, should the need ever arise.

Until he fully controlled the Sixteen Holy Wings, Yu Zi Yu would never place his heart fully in another’s hands.

As for why he had previously revealed the matter of tricking the Human Race’s First Immortal to Sixteen Holy Wings, that had merely been a calculated move.

Yu Zi Yu had seen the deep loathing in Anzuiel’s heart for the Heavenly Court, and simply used it to win a sliver of trust.

…

Meanwhile, as Yu Zi Yu was moving closer toward the Dark Expanse, far away, in a galaxy so distant it defied imagination…

A cosmic upheaval was quietly unfolding.

*Booooom…* A thunderous explosion, reminiscent of the dawn of creation, shook the entire galaxy.

And then, amid the stunned gazes of countless beings in that galaxy, a crimson light, eternal and indestructible, rose from the edge of the Starry Sky.

*Squilish…* As though something was tearing through the fabric of reality, the stars shuddered.

And along with it came the sound of flowing water, gentle and distant.

If one gazed closely, they would see a phantasmal river manifesting at the very edge of the cosmos.

Each wave of this river resembled an era.

Each droplet of water seemed to bear the weight of a glorious age.

This was the River of Destiny, the most ancient of all rivers, threading through countless eras, linking one age to the next.

And now, this river had manifested into the Mortal realm.

However, that was not all.

Even more startling was the crimson glow that pierced the stars.

It was because the source of it was a crimson spear.

Ancient divine texts swirled around it.

And around the spear, countless phantom civilizations shimmered into existence, each one resembling a divine kingdom.

And this single spear had cleaved the River of Destiny in half.

“En… we have returned…” A voice filled with vicissitude of time echoed from a location unknown, echoing through the starry expanse, setting off endless ripples.

And then, much to the disbelief of countless powerhouses, a beam of radiant light shot across the starry expanse.

Every denizen of this galaxy, who lifted their head noticed that brilliant beam.

At the same time, a sacred aura began to spread.

Any existence, who had stepped into the path of transcendence, could feel it. That vast, mighty, and indifferent pressure.

It was as though a divine kingdom had descended upon the world, bringing with it a fearsome majesty that could not be defined with words alone.

And this was only the beginning.

As time passed, countless beings watched in awe as ripples spread across the sky, and countless phantom silhouettes gradually materialized.

And then, a colossal tree, so vast it linked Heaven and Earth, emerged in the galaxy.

It stood anchored to nine worlds.

It was extremely majestic and sacred.

If one looked closely, they could see divine silhouettes around it, praying, worshipping, prostrating.

This was Yggdrasil, the greatest of all Divine Trees.

A tree that was a world in itself.

With the nine worlds as its support, it lifted the entire Pantheon.

This was the symbol of the Gods!

And now, this Divine Tree had manifested into the Mortal world?

However, things did not end just here.

The vision continued.

One by one, illusions began to take form, shedding their illusory shells and becoming real.

A resplendent temple soared into existence, shimmering with seven colors, so tall it pierced the clouds.

At its summit stood twelve indistinct figures, their presence grand and unfathomable.

And at the very center of them all, the leading figure held a staff in hand.

As he gently tapped the staff upon the ground, thunder roared and lightning raged.

The entire realm shuddered under its might.

“We have… finally returned…” A trembling voice rang out, and the central figure, cloaked in divine light, appeared excited.

Then, behind these figures, more temples began to manifest.

Pavilions, floating towers, celestial palaces flew into the sky.

And at the very depths of this divine domain, a single ancient palace stood, battered by time, yet still radiating an aura of eternity. Not even a bit of it was damaged.

And if one looked closely at this palace, they would notice a word, carved in bold letters, above its colossal gates, drawing the eyes of every onlooker: ‘Pantheon’.

Just one simple word, yet they silence the entire galaxy.

In fact, not just this galaxy, even the other galaxies, all who had sensed the anomaly fell into silence.

Just because the Gods had returned.

It would be more precise to say that they had chosen to emerge once again, to dread upon the Mortal world.

…

“The Gods…” A voice, time-worn and wary, echoed in the void.

A monstrous entity, with four eyes and eight pairs of arms, and over 10,000 meters tall, fell into utter silence.

The Gods were the oldest of all races, none was older than them.

According to legend, even before the first spark of life, they had already existed.

They were the incarnations of Principle itself, born bearing Principles—Eternal and indestructible.

They existed from the dawn of time.

And now, at the dawn of this new era, they had chosen to fully return.

For other races, it might be rebirth, but to the Gods, it was always a return.

And this was because they had always believed themselves to be the rightful ruler of this world.

And now that they had returned, they would try to dominate this world once again.

And this was the God Clan, an ancient race both overbearing and unfathomably strong.

Their return also meant that the myriad races in the universe would start competing for real, for every time the Gods returned, it heralded a new era of war.

And the Pantheon was composed of the strongest of the Gods. It was a force that had always been aggressive.

…

“The Gods have returned… So who will rule this starry expanse?”

Far in the Eastern Sector, the Dream Dragon, slowly opened her ethereal eyes, seemingly sensing something.

[But they are already too late. Our Dragon Clan has already risen. The Phoenix Clan, and countless other Forces had also begun asserting their power. For the Gods to return at such a moment is really not ideal. Unless…unless there is a reason so great, a catalyst so powerful, that the God Clan had no choice but to return.]

[Or perhaps… they finally possess the confidence to return. And that magnificent aura that just flashed by… Could it be that the Spear of Fate, the God Clan’s long-lost Imperial Artifact has returned as well?]
