Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1537: Chaos In The Paradise Realm I

A great panic occurred at the border of the Paradise Realm as soon as the gates began to crack, and the people there rushed in without caring about their destination. The guards at the gates, unable to stop the crowd, ultimately decided to follow the people through the gates according to their origins.

”What happened, Yao’er? Why is our domain shaking so violently?” Feng Jiu asked her as soon as Feng Yao returned.

Feng Tian also found it strange, as he hadn’t experienced anything like an earthquake since he and his wife arrived in the Paradise Realm years ago. ”Did you do something, Yao’er?”

”It wasn’t me, but Zhang Fei.” Feng Jiu and Feng Tian exchanged shocked glances before following their daughter to the balcony. ”Look at that.”

Feng Jiu and Feng Tian looked at the portal to enter the Blazing Nirvana Domain, but it slowly disappeared. ”What happened to the portal?”

”All portals connecting the border and all domains will disappear soon, which happened because Zhang Fei asked the Will of the Universe to remove them.” Feng Jiu and Feng Tian looked at Feng Yao again, as they didn’t understand how Zhang Fei could do such a thing. ”After today, all domains in the Paradise Realm will no longer be connected to each other, and it will take a long time to travel to other domains, like in the Three Mortal Realms.”

”Were you the one who gave Zhang Fei the idea to do that, Yao’er?”

Feng Yao shook her head at her mother. ”Zhang Fei came up with the idea himself because he wanted to protect his sect and the people around him, and he was the only person who could speak with the Will of the Universe.”

”Why did you lie to me? The woman you summoned a few months ago is the Will of the Universe, right?” Feng Yao just smiled and did not answer her mother, making Feng Jiu sigh heavily. ”Does that mean your other identity is this universe itself, Yao’er?”

Feng Tian was shocked to hear his wife say that because he had been in seclusion ever since Feng Yao brought them to her domain, and he didn’t know anything that happened after that. ”Is your mother right, Yao’er? Are you the universe itself?”

”Haha,” Feng Yao softly laughed. ”You two can think whatever you like for now, and you will know all the answers in the future.”

Feng Jiu and Feng Tian sighed as soon as Feng Yao disappeared from their sight, but her silence convinced them that their suspicions were correct. ”What exactly happened to our daughter, Husband?”

”I don’t know,” Feng Tian replied with a soft sigh. ”Yao’er has been mysterious since she was born and growing up, and I’ve never been able to understand her. If she is indeed the embodiment of this universe itself, I think she has another purpose that she is deliberately hiding from us.”

Feng Jiu fell silent as she stared at the portal, which was getting fainter. ”What will happen in the future? Are we really going to lose our only daughter?”

”I don’t have the answer for you.”

Long Wuzhao, Long Xukong, Tianshi Bailong, and Feng Jinhuang also sensed the change. They immediately left their private quarters to check the situation, but they were shocked to see the portal connecting the Dragon-Soaring Divine Domain and the border begin to disappear.

”What happened, Golden Dragon Emperor? Why did the portal start to disappear?” Feng Jinhuang asked dengan tampang serius.

”Brother Xukong.”

”Yes,” Long Xukong immediately entered the void to check the border, but he returned to their side shortly after. ”The situation at the border is very chaotic, Brother Wuzhao. Those gates suddenly cracked by themselves, which caused all the portals to start disappearing.”

”If those gates disappear, all the domains in this Paradise Realm will be scattered like in the Three Mortal Realms, and we will need time to travel to other domains.” Tianshi Bailong turned to Long Wuzhao. ”Do you think this incident has something to do with Empress Huo?”

Long Wuzhao thought for a long time before answering him. ”I don’t think today’s incident has anything to do with Empress Huo, and I feel like it has something to do with Zhang Fei.”

”Zhang Fei?” Long Xukong, Tianshi Bailong, and Feng Jinhuang were shocked by this. ”Do you really think that kid did this, Golden Dragon Emperor?”

Long Wuzhao shook his head slightly. ”That’s just my guess, and we have to find Zhang Fei to confirm it.”

”Shall we go see Zhang Fei now?”

”Bring us to Zhang Fei, Brother Xukong.” Long Xukong immediately opened a hole into the void, and the four mythical beasts hurriedly entered it, heading toward the Twin Flames Main Domain. They had to move quickly before all the gates disappeared completely, or it would take them a long time to arrive at that domain.

In the Floral Mirage Domain.

Jia Leixuan stood in the air with Jia Lingzhu and Jia Shengyun, staring at the disappearing portal. ”What exactly is happening? Why is the portal starting to disappear on its own?”

”If the portal disappeared on its own, it means something happened at the border and those gates.”

Jia Lingzhu turned to her husband. ”What do you think caused today’s incident, Old Man?”

”The gates have existed since the time of our ancestors, and no one has ever been able to destroy them. Even the terrible catastrophes of the past didn’t affect them, so I have no idea what caused it.” Jia Shengyun furrowed his brows when he remembered something. ”Could it be that this incident has something to do with Zhang Fei?”

”Zhang Fei?”

Jia Shengyun nodded at them. ”Zhang Fei has many mysterious abilities, and all his actions are difficult to predict. Yuyan is currently in seclusion, so I can’t contact her to ask about this matter.”

”How about we go to the Twin Flames Main Domain now? The portal hasn’t disappeared, so we should still be able to go there through the border.” Jia Shengyun and Jia Lingzhu exchanged glances for a moment before agreeing with Jia Leixuan, and the three quickly disappeared into the portal, heading toward the Twin Flames Main Domain.

Just like the fairy race, the other natural races were also wondering about the incident, but they had never met Zhang Fei before, so they didn’t think he was the cause.

Although the change was sudden, they were glad the portal disappeared because people wouldn’t be able to enter their domains at will if it disappeared, which guaranteed the safety and peace of their races.

Chaos also broke out in the Radiance Domain.

Tian Qiye and all the grand elders by her side, including the puppet Tian Yaoqin, stood in the sky, watching the portal continue to disappear.

”Leader, what do you think happened? Why did the portal disappear by itself?” Tian Liefeng asked.

”I don’t have an answer to that,” Tian Qiye replied with a shake of her head. ”Even though this incident is truly strange, I think it will be beneficial for us. Some demon gods are always thinking of invading our domain, and they won’t be able to do so if those gates at the border disappear. Even if they still want to invade our domain, they will need to undertake a long journey to reach it, and we can prepare to fight them.”

”Could it be that Empress Huo caused this, Leader?” Tian Hanyun asked.

”Empress Huo has been powerful since the past, but she never thought about destroying those gates, so I think the mastermind behind today’s incident is someone else.”

”Are those mythical beasts the culprit?”

Tian Qiye first considered several possibilities. ”If Long Wuzhao or the others wanted to destroy those gates, they could have done so in the past, but they never tried. Whoever caused today’s incident must have the same thoughts as us. Although the disappearance of those gates will make it difficult for us to go to other domains, we don’t need to worry about that because our domain has everything, and we also never cooperate with other races.”

”So, are we not doing anything to investigate this matter?”

”Honestly, I always harbor the hope that those gates will disappear, so we don’t need to guard and think about external threats, and we can focus on our race.” Tian Qiye looked toward the residences of Tian Yizu and the others. ”You don’t need to bother with today’s events because they will benefit us, and I want you all to focus on reaching the Celestial God Realm as soon as possible so you can evolve like me. After you all evolve, we will go to one of the demon domains, and we will destroy those heretics.”

”Which demon race will we target first, Leader?”

”The Eternal Night Demon Race.” Tian Liefeng and the others were not surprised by Tian Qiye’s answer. ”Ye Mingran has never attacked us, but her predecessor repeatedly attacked us in the past. Many members of our race died due to these past attacks, so we will begin our actions against her demon race. Let’s go back and continue your seclusion, and you don’t have to leave until you reach that stage.”

Tian Liefeng and the others immediately returned to their respective places, but Tian Qiye remained standing at her spot as she looked at Tian Yaoqin. She was still suspicious of her, but she couldn’t find anything wrong with her. ”Could it be that my suspicions about her were wrong?”

”What happened to the portal, Father?” Tian Huangjin asked her father.
