Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1527: Shang Zhanluo’s Situation

”What kind of place did Zhang Fei take you to, Empress?” Shang Zhui asked after Shang Dongzhu left the asura palace.

”An ancient domain.” Shang Zhui was shocked to hear that. ”I didn’t tell this matter to Shang Dongzhu, but I believe you, so I will tell you the truth. According to Zhang Fei, the name of that domain is the Yin-Yang Corridor Domain, home to the giant Yin-Yang Lotus.”

”The giant Yin-Yang Lotus and the Yin-Yang Corridor Domain.” Shang Zhui had never heard of these two, even though he had lived for so long, and he was sure that none of the old cultivators in the Paradise Realm knew about them.

”Yes.” Shang Luohu nodded at him. ”I can’t show you the domain image, but the lotus embodies Yin and Yang in this universe, and it will perish if the lotus weakens or vanishes. It happened once in the past, which caused total destruction in that domain and the extinction of all its inhabitants. That’s why the lotus requires the soul power of all living beings to become powerful, but not everyone can enter the domain because the portal is nowhere to be found.”

”How did Zhang Fei find the portal?”

”Zhang Fei found the portal because of fate, and I just learned that his beast identity is a heavenly fox, which never existed in the Paradise Realm.” Shang Zhui agreed with Shang Luohu because he himself had never heard of that fox race. ”The gate you saw a month ago is one of his fox abilities, and he can use it to access any domain, including the Yin-Yang Corridor Domain.”

”Does that mean Zhang Fei and Princess Xueli are in that domain?”

”Yeah.” Shang Luohu looked outside. ”I don’t know how long they will stay in that domain, but the giant Yin-Yang Lotus is very helpful for us, especially in increasing our soul power. That’s why I’m sure my daughter will be fine, and she will surpass her father to become the demon god of our asura demon race.”

Shang Zhui was still skeptical because he hadn’t seen the giant Yin-Yang Lotus with his own eyes, but he could see the confidence in Shang Luohu’s eyes. ”I hope you’re right, Empress. Our asura demon race will never change as long as my emperor is in power, and we need a new leader to change and improve everything. Unfortunately, Princess Fengxue has never been interested in power, and she is more interested in living unfettered. Therefore, our only hope is Princess Xueli, but she is still lacking in all aspects because she was confined for a long time in the Celestial Demon Domain, so she still has to develop herself to have the qualities of a leader of our demon race.”

”Yeah,” Shang Luohu sighed heavily as she remembered Shang Xueli’s past situation. ”Although my daughter had a bad situation in the past, she is free now, and she is training hard to improve herself with Zhang Fei. I don’t know when my daughter will return to my side, but I hope she will be strong when she returns. Has my husband shown signs of coming out of his seclusion?”

”My emperor hasn’t shown any signs of coming out of his seclusion, but I heard a commotion coming from inside his chamber two weeks ago.” Shang Luohu turned to Shang Zhui with a raised eyebrow. ”I don’t know what happened to him in there, but the commotion lasted for a whole week, and he hasn’t made a sound since that day.”

”Do you think something happened to my husband?”

”I can’t go inside, so I can’t check my emperor’s situation.”

”Let’s go there, Zhui.”

”Yes,”

Some time later, they had arrived in front of Shang Zhanluo’s seclusion chamber. Shang Luohu pressed her palm against the door while closing her eyes, and her mouth muttered something.

*Crack*

After a creaking sound was heard and the door opened by itself, Shang Luohu immediately led Shang Zhui into the room. They found Shang Zhanluo meditating in the center of the room, his body enveloped in a blood-red aura, but he was unaware of their presence.

Shang Luohu walked over to Shang Zhanluo, squatted in front of her husband, and grabbed his wrist. She used her senses and qi to examine his insides for some time, but she found nothing unusual inside, and she could feel that everything was normal. ”What actually happened two weeks ago? It’s unusual for him to make a fuss when he’s in seclusion.”

”Is my emperor okay, Empress?”

”Yeah.” Shang Luohu stood up and faced Shang Zhui. ”I don’t know what happened to him two weeks ago, but I didn’t detect anything abnormal in my husband’s body, Zhui. His heartbeat is normal, and the flow of qi in his body is also normal.”

”That’s weird.” Shang Zhui looked at Shang Zhanluo, whose expression was calm. ”What exactly happened to my emperor two weeks ago? Why did he make such a big fuss then?”

Shang Luohu shook her head slightly and walked out. ”Let’s leave now, or he will be angry if he wakes up because of our presence.”

After they left the room and resealed the entrance, Shang Zhanluo opened his eyes. However, his red eyes had turned dark, resembling dark blood, and his gaze showed something evil. He didn’t say anything or move, and he closed his eyes a moment later, causing the blood-red aura enveloping his body to grow stronger.

”I’ll return to my room to rest, Zhui.”

”Yes, Empress.” Shang Zhui didn’t leave, and her eyes stared thoughtfully at the entrance to Shang Zhanluo’s seclusion chamber. He sensed something had happened to his emperor, but his empress didn’t feel anything inside his body, which made him feel strange. ”Sigh! I have to monitor my emperor’s condition, or it will be too late if something happens to him. If something happens to him, I’m sure Demon God Sha Mo will lead his subordinates to attack us, and we won’t be able to fight them without his presence.”

Shan Zhui stuck something to the entrance to Shang Zhanluo’s seclusion chamber, and he left the place afterward.

*Tap... Tap...*

A woman wearing a black robe and veil walked into a throne room, and the man sitting there immediately asked her. ”How did it go? Did you succeed in your task?”

”I’ve already done it, Demon God Sha Mo.” Sha Mo was delighted after hearing that. ”I didn’t expect Shang Luohu to leave the Asura Palace, and she was gone for a whole month, which allowed me to infiltrate the area around Shang Zhanluo’s seclusion chamber and use the item. I didn’t report to you immediately because I was waiting for the effect to work on him, and it has been affecting him since two weeks ago.”

”Shang Luohu left her domain for a whole month?”

”Yes, Demon God. I don’t know Shang Luohu’s destination, but she was gone for a whole month, and she only came back today.” Sha Mo fell into thought after hearing the news because the Asura Empress had never left the Slaughter Blood Domain for so long before, let alone when her husband was in seclusion. ”Although Shang Zhanluo has been affected by the effects of the item, the results won’t be immediately visible. However, the effects will continue to erode his consciousness, and he will transform into a bloodthirsty demon who isn’t concerned about friend or foe. After all, he is a demon god like you, and he is a demon born of blood and war, so the effects will take quite a long time, about five years.”

”I’m not in a rush to get rid of Shang Zhanluo, so I’ll wait for the effects to take full effect before acting. If I succeed in getting rid of him, his asura demon race won’t be able to rise again because he hasn’t chosen his heir yet, and no one can inherit his power if he dies first. After I get rid of them, I will devise a plan for Mo Shentian, but I have to be more careful in dealing with him.” Sha Mo took a bag and threw it to the woman, who accepted it with joy. ”What about the other demon gods?”

The woman shook her head at Sha No. ”Jiu Mozu and Jiu Moze are always on guard in their NineNether Demon domain, so I don’t dare go there for now. Ku Shenzu is too terrifying, and I don’t want to die at his hands. You don’t need to ask about Qian Yan because he will detect my presence in his domain and kill me immediately. What about the other demon gods? Don’t you want to take any action against them?”

”You don’t have to do anything to them.” Sha Mo smirked. ”Nalan Shizhe and Ye Mingran are indeed strong, but they are not my opponents, and I can eliminate them at any time. Unfortunately, I still haven’t managed to locate Wu Mian’s true body, so I can’t do anything to him. As for Qi Qingxiu, I’ll take care of her after I subdue the Celestial Demon Race, and she will help me deal with Ku Shenzu and Qian Yan.”

The woman nodded slightly. ”If you need my help again, you can contact me directly, and I’ll be happy to help you as long as the payment is good.”

”Leave.”

After the woman left, another woman appeared beside Sha Mo, and her appearance was more like a female monster than a demon. ”Why did you let that witch go, husband?”
