Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1536: Talk With The Will

”Wasn’t the Paradise Realm no different from the Three Mortal Realms in the past? Weren’t all the domains also separate from each other before you created the barrier that separated them?”

{You’re right; the two realms were indeed no different in the past.} The Will of the Universe created two qi screens: the first shows when the two realms were still one, and the second shows when the two realms were separated by the universe barrier, plus the appearance of all the gates. {As I said in the past, the universe created the barrier because the Primordial Nihility Beast sent those ancient mythical beasts to the Three Mortal Realms, and the barrier served to imprison them there.}

”Will those ancient mythical beasts be free if you remove those gates?”

{Those gates and their prisons are not connected, so the ancient mythical beasts will remain imprisoned even if the gates disappear.}

Zhang Xiaolong [3] was relieved to hear that because the cultivators in the Paradise Realm and the Three Mortal Realms would not be able to face so many angry ancient mythical beasts, and they would destroy many realms if they were freed from there.

{However, it is important to remember that the situation in the Paradise Realm differs from that in the Three Mortal Realms, and the cultivators in the Paradise Realm are accustomed to easily traveling to other domains, which means they will require a considerable amount of time to adjust to the new circumstances.}

Zhang Xiaolong [3] understood this, but he believed that the situation in the Paradise Realm would be significantly improved if those gates did not exist. ”I think you’re underestimating those cultivators, and I’m sure they can adapt quickly. They might have a challenging time at first, especially those living in lesser domains, but I’m sure they’ll be able to accept their situation. Moreover, their domains won’t have to face attacks from cultivators from other domains, especially those evil beasts and demons, so their lives will be better than they are now.”

{That’s true! All living creatures, especially humans, have the ability to adapt quickly. In the Paradise Realm, their population is the largest compared to other races, and many domains have more advanced technology than others, such as the Sky Pillar Domain. However, the lesser domains don’t have any of that, so you should consider a solution for them before deciding to remove those gates, as they will be overwhelmed by their new circumstances.}

Zhang Xiaolong [3] wasn’t concerned about the people from other domains, and he wanted to remove those barriers for the safety of his sect and everyone around him. However, he realized that his wish would have a wide impact on all residents of the Paradise Realm, and not all of them could adapt to the new situation quickly.

Bing Xingying asked her. ”Big Sister, can you connect all the human-inhabited domains without those gates? If that were possible, they would still be able to travel to other domains, and they wouldn’t have to deal with demons and evil beasts.”

{I can’t do that, Xingying. Although there are many gates, they are one entity. All of them will disappear simultaneously, so all the domains will be separated from each other, as in the past. The only way to travel from one domain to another is—}

”Teleportation device like the one I used in the Three Mortal Realms.”

{However, you don’t need to use your teleportation portals; instead, you can ask the people from the Sky Pillar Domain to create them for you. I’m sure it won’t be difficult for them to create them since all domains are within the scope of the Paradise Realm, but it might take them a long time to create so many. Besides, you should talk to some people about this matter, as it will affect members of their races.}

Zhang Xiaolong [3] agreed with that. ”I think all the beast and natural races won’t have a problem with that because they almost never have relations with other races, and their domains are self-sustaining. The winged race isn’t much different from them, and their race isolates itself from other races. As for the evil beast and demon races, it would be much better if they couldn’t easily invade other domains because they always bring chaos wherever they go.”

{What about the demihuman races?}

”I’ve visited the Heavenly Mistveil Domain, and the demihuman races live quite prosperously there. Moreover, they don’t like contact with other races, and I also have a shop there, so I think it won’t be a problem for them.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] thought of another solution for the demihuman race. ”If that’s still not enough, I can do other things for them.”

{For example?}

”My parents-in-law are from the Immortal Lotus Sanctuary, and Liao Yunxiao is from the Sky Pillar Domain. I think they will be willing to help the demihuman race, and the demihumans will accept them because they are my family.”

{I think all of that can be done, but it will require a lot of effort because the Paradise Realm will change completely if I remove those gates.}

”Isn’t that better than endless chaos in all domains? I know the universe created the gates to make life easier for cultivators in the Paradise Realm, but they also result in endless chaos. Although the situation in the Three Mortal Realms is also chaotic, it is much better than in the Paradise Realm, and some realms are much calmer without major chaos.” The Will nodded to Zhang Xiaolong [3]. ”If this Paradise Realm continues like this, it will end up like the Ancient and Primordial Realms, and there will only be destruction in it. Although removing those gates will not guarantee peace, it will at least slow down the destruction, so this Paradise Realm will not end the same as the two realms above it.”

The Will sighed upon hearing that. {The birth of living beings has created chaos, and this chaos continues to persist even as new living beings and realms are formed. The chaos grows worse with each passing day, and it has become like a cancer to this universe. If we fail to end the chaos, it will lead to the destruction of this universe and the extinction of all living beings. The only hope to stop this chaos is you, the heir of the ten-tailed fox.}

Zhang Xiaolong [3] shook his head. ”Even if I evolve into the ten-tailed fox, I cannot stop the chaos by myself. You are the universe’s will, and you’ve seen the chaos that destroyed the Primordial and Ancient Realms. If you don’t help prevent it, this Paradise Realm will be destroyed like those two realms, and it will be too late once that happens. Therefore, I want to prevent the chaos from spreading further, and the initial solution is to remove those gates. All cultivators in this realm will feel the impact, but I’m sure they will be grateful for it. Although they will have to adapt for quite some time to the new situation in this realm, they will eventually get used to it. Therefore, I want you to remove those gates as soon as possible, and you can witness the changes for yourself.”

{I hope you’re right about that, Zhang Fei. You should return to your domain now, and I’ll remove those gates after you return there.}

”Alright.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] turned to Bing Xingying, who immediately brought him out of the Era of the Beginning.

Not long after they left, a crimson flame appeared in the room and turned into Feng Yao, and Huo Ling immediately emerged from her body.

Huo Ling looked at the Will of the Universe before looking at her master. ”Are you sure it would be okay if this Paradise Realm returned to its past state, Master?”

Feng Yao didn’t answer Huo Ling immediately and walked towards the wall, where the picture of the beginning of their universe was located. ”The situation in this universe is already too dire, and it continues to move towards total destruction. If the situation continues like this, this universe will disappear forever, but I have no solution to stop that destruction. Zhang Fei’s method will not be able to stop the chaos, but it will slow down the destruction of this universe, and he will probably find another way to save it in the future.”

”Haish,” Huo Ling hissed while shaking her head. ”I still don’t understand why you have so much confidence in Zhang Fei, Master. I know he is different from other living beings, but he is too weak to be able to bring about change in this universe, and he will probably fail to save it.”

”Haha,” Feng Yao laughed and turned to face Huo Ling. ”Zhang Fei is still weak, but I also don’t have a solution to save this universe. So why don’t we try his method and return the situation in this Paradise Realm to how it was in the past? Perhaps his method won’t work perfectly, but it will at least give him plenty to think of a better way to save this universe.”

Huo Ling sighed softly. ”I still don’t believe Zhang Fei will succeed in saving this universe, so I’ll wait and see what happens in the future.”

”Let’s go back.”

After Feng Yao disappeared, the Will of the Universe waved her hand, and a great change that shook the Paradise Realm began to occur. {Let’s see if your method will be effective in stopping the destruction of this universe, Zhang Fei.}
