Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1535: Meet The Will Again

”The Will of the Universe,”

Bing Xingying nodded at Huang Xiaoyi. ”Big Sis isn’t a true living being, but she is the embodiment of the will of this universe. That’s why she knows everything that happens in this universe, from the smallest to the largest incidents and from the most recent to the most ancient history.”

”How did you know her, Son? Why did she choose to appear to you but not to other living beings?” Zhang Xiaolong [3] told Huang Xiaoyi about the battle of righteous and heretic cultivators that occurred in the Sky Jade Realm many years ago, which left him stranded in the space until he met that woman. ”Did she meet you because you are the next ten-tailed fox?”

Zhang Xiaolong [3] nodded at her and created a qi screen, showing all the interior of the Era of the Beginning, which attracted the attention of Huang Xiaoyi and Chen Mengyao.

”Eh? Why do statues of beasts occupy the first room, Brother-in-law?”

”The beast races were the first to be born in this universe.” Huang Xiaoyi and Chen Mengyao turned to Zhang Xiaolong [3]. ”Before other living creatures were born in this universe, the beast races already existed. The strongest among them were the ten-tailed fox born of Yin and Yang, the Primordial Genesis Beast born of Yang, and the Primordial Nihility Beast born of Yin. The old fox died long ago because it sacrificed itself for the future, but those two primordial beasts still live today in the Primordial Realm.”

”The Primordial Realm?”

”The Primordial Realm is the first and oldest in this universe, and the Ancient Realm was born after it. I know about that realm, but I don’t have much information about it.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] looked at them and continued. ”If you remember about Senior Puyang Shangren and the Ancient Leiyu Tianlu we met in the Forbidden Land, they were natives of the Ancient Realm. All the clans in the Forbidden Land were part of the Ancient Clans, but they were stranded in this Paradise Realm due to a matter in the past, and they couldn’t return there because the Primordial Flame disappeared.”

”The Primordial Flame?”

”The Primordial Flame is the lifeblood of the Forbidden Land, but someone took it from the Temple of the Forgotten Flame, and all the inhabitants there suffered the consequences.”

”Who took the Primordial Flame?”

”Me,” Feng Yao spoke as she emerged from Zhang Xiaolong [3]’s body. ”I took the Primordial Flame, but I will not tell you about my purpose now, and you will know it in the future.”

”Secretive as ever.”

Feng Yao looked at Zhang Xiaolong [3]. ”Do you really want to destroy those gates? Have you considered the risks to all the cultivators in this Paradise Realm?”

”What risks?” Zhang Xiaolong [3] replied with a shake of his head. ”The cultivators in this Paradise Realm are far stronger and more established than those in the Three Mortal Realms, right? If the cultivators there can adapt to such a situation, I’m sure those living here can too, though they might need some time to adapt.”

”That’s true,” Feng Yao agreed with him. ”However, those gates have existed for so long, and all the cultivators in this Paradise Realm have become accustomed to using them to travel, so they will need a longer time to adapt to the situation. In contrast, the cultivators in the Three Mortal Realms have never experienced such a situation, so they have already adapted to their situation long ago.”

Zhang Xiaolong [3] naturally understood that, but he felt that the Paradise Realm would be much better off without those gates, and the people from the lesser domains would be safer if other people had to travel a long time to get to their domains. ”They are experienced cultivators, so they should be able to adapt quickly to their new situation. If they can’t do that, then let nature select them, and the population in this realm will be more stable.”

”Haha,” Feng Yao softly laughed. ”I already expected that you would answer like that, but I agree with you. The population in this Paradise Realm is already too large, and it’s time for them to undergo selection. Natural selection will wipe out those who are too weak, while strong cultivators will survive without much difficulty.”

Huang Xiaoyi, Chen Mengyao, and Bing Xingying could only listen to their interactions silently, making the three of them feel that Zhang Xiaolong [3] and Feng Yao had no concern for the fate of other living beings.

”Since you can access all domains via the gate, I don’t think it’s a big deal for you, and you can set up some things in other domains to help the people there.”

”Why should I help them? They are cultivators, so they should find their path to their fate and future.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] paused for a moment before continuing. ”I will visit all the domains first to record their locations, and I will determine my next step later. Moreover, the Will of the Universe may not be willing to fulfill my request to remove those gates, so our discussion now still has no clear results.”

”Alright, you can think things over and go meet the Will of the Universe yourself.” Feng Yao turned into a crimson flame and entered Zhang Xiaolong [3]’s body again.

Zhang Xiaolong [3] immediately got up from his seat. ”Since my father-in-law is still discussing matters with the five ancestors, I’ll go and record all those domains now, and I’ll return later.”

After Zhang Xiaolong [3] left, Chen Mengyao asked Huang Xiaoyi, ”Do you think such a thing can be done, Mother?”

”Yes,” Huang Xiaoyi sighed softly. ”All those gates have existed since all cultivators living in this era were born, but they don’t exist in the Three Mortal Realms. Your father and I went there for quite some time, and we saw life in many realms before we arrived on Earth. They do have difficulties getting from one realm to another, but I can say that their lives are far better than those in all the domains in this realm. The cultivators in this realm might have a challenging time at first, but they will eventually adapt to their new situation, and everything will return to normal again. I don’t know if that’s possible, but the situation would be better if all the domains weren’t connected to each other.”

”Even though many human cultivators are evil, the primary issue in this realm is the presence of evil beasts and demons. Even if we separate all the domains from each other, evil will persist, albeit at a significantly reduced level.” Chen Mengyao and Huang Xiaoyi agreed with Bing Xingying. ”Unfortunately, I don’t know if Big Sister will agree to my brother-in-law’s wishes, but I hope she will, and the people of this realm will have a better future.”

”What are you three talking about here?” Huang Xiaoyi looked at her husband and asked him to sit with them, recounting their conversation with Zhang Xiaolong [3] earlier. ”Huh? Does he really intend to do something that crazy?”

”Our son-in-law’s idea is crazy, but I think it is a solution to bring peace back to this Paradise Realm.”

Luo Fenghan agreed with his wife, but he felt that Zhang Xiaolong [3]’s idea was too sudden and difficult to realize. Moreover, there were too many domains in the Paradise Realm, and all cultivators would experience considerable hardship if those domains were spread far apart like in the Three Mortal Realms.

”I don’t know how our son-in-law will realize his crazy idea, but I hope he can do it, and our lives will be more peaceful in the future.”

Luo Fenghan nodded slightly. ”What do you think will happen to all the cultivators in this Paradise Realm?”

”We can only find out in the future, husband.”

”Let’s wait for him to come to see us again.”

”Yeah,”

When it was night, Zhang Xiaolong [3] returned to the Immortal Lotus Sanctuary and chatted with Luo Fenghan, telling his father-in-law the same things he had discussed with his mother-in-law and two sisters-in-law. ”I don’t know if my idea can be realized, but I have to meet the Will of the Universe first. She can do anything for this universe, so she should be able to demolish those gates and return this Paradise Realm to its original state as in the past, which will make all domains safer and more controllable.”

”Yes.” Luo Fenghan nodded at him. ”As of now, the Divine Samsara Sect has become too powerful, and many sects are weakening because talented young cultivators choose to join that sect. If all domains stand alone, those young cultivators will have no other choice but to join the sects in their respective domains, and those sects will gradually rise. When will you go to meet the Will of the Universe?”

”Right now.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] called Bing Xingying to meet them. ”I hope the Will of the Universe can really do that, and I will go into seclusion for a very long time after this.”

Before long, Big Xingying had arrived in front of them, and she immediately brought Zhang Xiaolong [3] into the void.

Before long, Big Xingying had arrived in front of them, and she immediately brought Zhang Xiaolong [3] into the void. They didn’t have to wait too long, and they were transported to the final space of the Era of the Beginning.

{I’ve heard about your wish, but do you really want to do that?}
