Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 697: Meet Linghu Yincheng

”Why are you doing this to me, He Ya? Arenʼt you afraid that my husband will find out about your actions?” Ruo Yanxi questioned the Black Fang Sectʼs sect master, who had just entered her room.

He Ya first put some dishes on the table before answering her. ”Concubine Ruo, you must know that your husband has many enemies, right? Honestly, I donʼt want to have any problems with Emperor Shou, but I canʼt do anything because I am a prisoner of one of his enemies, and I can only obey that personʼs orders. I canʼt reveal his identity to you, but he has taken my freedom and is now the leader of this sect.”

”I see.” Ruo Yanxi nodded in understanding, as she knew for sure that everyone on the human island hated Huangfu Shou, especially because of his ambition to become the sole ruler. ”What is your masterʼs purpose in ordering you to capture me?”

”I donʼt know what my masterʼs goal is for you, but he definitely wants to destroy Emperor Shou and his kingdom.” Ruo Yanxi frowned at He Yaʼs response. ”Your husband is indeed strong, but there are many cultivators who are much stronger than him, especially cultivators from other realms. I can tell you that my master came from another realm, and there is a cultivator who is much stronger than your husband by his side.”

Ruo Yanxi released a heavy sigh after hearing all that. ”Is your master going to kill me?”

”If my master wanted to kill you, you would have died by now.” Ruo Yanxi nodded to He Ya. ”By the way, Emperor Shou will never know that you have disappeared from Huangfu royal palace, especially since my master has already placed someone similar to you there.”

Ruo Yanxi frowned even more. ”How could your master do that? My husband would definitely find out about it if he felt the difference between my aura and the impostorʼs.”

”I donʼt know how my master did it, but that woman has the exact same aura as yours, so Iʼm sure Emperor Shou wonʼt see through her disguise.” He Ya then turned to leave. ”For the time being, you can enjoy your time here, and my master might see you soon. If you want to know his reason for capturing you, you can ask him directly when he comes to see you.”

Ruo Yanxi let out a heavy sigh as she thought of a way to contact Huangfu Shou. Unfortunately, her cultivation was still sealed, and He Ya had also confiscated her storage ring, so she couldnʼt do anything.

At the residence, almost everyone had already left for their respective jobs, and only a few stayed behind. All of Zhang Feiʼs official and unofficial women went on to manage their three shops and restaurants in the three kingdoms.

Xian Xianqin and Xian Changyue went to the Xian Palace, but Ling Long and Zhou Shenxin joined them. Yun Xinyue returned to the Yun Kingdom, especially since she missed her family.

The people from the Yin-Yang Pavilion, Heavenly Sword Sect, and Hidden Sea Palace practice outside the residence. The senior cultivators from the seven clans also went to train, but they did so in a region that was slightly farther away from the residence.

”Grandma!” Zhang Chen, who was talking to Jiang Tingxi, immediately turned to Tasha, who was running towards them with Xu Lingʼer.

Zhang Chen lifted Tasha onto her lap with her back facing her. ”Are you comfortable living with us?”

”Yes, Grandma.” Tasha answered Zhang Chen with a strong nod. ”Last night, Lingʼer told me many things that I had never seen before, and she also told me about your home realm, the Earth. I wanted to go there to have a look, but she told me only Zhang Fei could take us over there.”

”Lingʼer is right; only Feiʼer can take us there.” Zhang Fei then started combing Tashaʼs white hair. ”If you want to go to Earth, you can ask him directly when he comes back later. Iʼm sure he wonʼt mind taking you there, and you can walk with Lingʼer there.”

Tasha looked up at Zhang Chen. ”Grandma, I wanted to look around the kingdom in this realm, but Lingʼer told me that the people there hate demons.”

”Are you really a demon? Why canʼt I feel any demon aura from you?” Jiang Tingxi asked in confusion.

Tasha turned to Jiang Tingxi directly. ”Grandma, I am really a demon—a demon wolf. However, my father said that I am a special demon, and I donʼt have any demon aura in my body, even though I keep absorbing demon aura.”

”Thatʼs weird; Iʼve never heard of a demon like you.” Jiang Tingxi then observed Tasha seriously. ”Did you come from another demon realm?”

Tasha nodded at her. ”My home realm is the Blackthorn Abyss Realm in the upper realms, but I met Zhang Fei in the Netherworld Realm, and my father asked him to bring me here.”

”The upper realms?” Jiang Tingxi was really shocked to hear that. ”Itʼs amazing how strong you are at such a young age, and your level of cultivation surpasses mine.”

Tasha pouted her lips in response. ”Grandma, I look young like this, but Iʼm already a thousand years old.”

”Huh? Are you really a thousand years old?” Tasha answered Jiang Tingxi with a nod. ”Doesnʼt that mean Sister Chen and I have to call you a grandma?”

”No!” Tasha exclaimed and jumped down from Zhang Chenʼs lap. ”I may be a thousand years old, but my father said that I am no different from a hundred-year-old human, so I donʼt want to be called a grandma.”

”Haha.” Jiang Tingxi softly laughed and rubbed Tashaʼs head. ”Youʼre right; youʼre too cute to be a grandma.”

”Two grandmas! I will go to the forest with Lingʼer and the two tigresses, and I will teach them to hunt beasts.” After she said that, Tasha and Xu Lingʼer immediately left Zhang Chen and Jiang Tingxi, followed by the two tigresses, Hu Yi and Hu Er.

Jiang Tingxi then turned to Zhang Chen. ”I still didnʼt expect that Zhang Fei had so many women by his side, and I donʼt understand how my daughter could fall in love with him. Is it because he is a lust demon?”

”Yes.” Zhang Chen nodded to Jiang Tingxi. ”Before Feiʼer turned into a demon, he never thought about a woman, especially since he had to work hard in the factory. His transformation affected his nature, and he immediately got into a relationship with Ru Xue. Since then, the number of women by his side has continued to increase, and their number is likely to become even more in the future. I know you have concerns about your daughter, but I dare to guarantee that he will always treat her fairly, just like he treats her other women.”

Even though she had just met them, Jiang Tingxi could already see the closeness and warmth between all of Zhang Feiʼs women when they had breakfast together earlier. She could see that their relationship was much better than her relationship with Zhou Xiaochuanʼs main wife and other concubines.

Jiang Tingxi then sighed softly before speaking. ”Shenxin is my only daughter, and I always hope that she will get the best man, who is much better than her father. Honestly, I still donʼt know anything about Zhang Fei, but I can see that all his women are close to each other, and I donʼt see any jealousy between them like in my husbandʼs harem.”

”Youʼre wrong about that.” Jiang Tingxi looked at Zhang Chen in confusion. ”All humans, including them, harbor jealousy and envy in their hearts. However, they are not as ambitious as your husbandʼs other wives, and they suppress their jealousy and envy because of Feiʼer so they can get close to each other.”

Jiang Tingxi nodded in understanding. ”Shenxin has decided to choose Zhang Fei, and I will support her decision. So I truly hope he will make her happy like them.”

”You donʼt have to worry about that, and I guarantee that Shenxin will be happy with Feiʼer.” Zhang Chen then turned to Jiang Tingxi and wanted to ask her something, but she immediately dropped her intention. ʼSigh! I donʼt know what will happen to her if Feiʼer does anything awful to Zhou Xiaochuan.ʼ

Han Yuanzhi sat alone in her private room, thinking back to her sexual activity last night. ”My husband died a long time ago, and I havenʼt had sex since then. Despite Zhang Feiʼs youth, his excessive power in bed exhausts me.”

”Master.” Han Yuanzhi turned to Xiao Bai, who immediately perched on her shoulder.

”Is there any new information about the movements at the Bai Royal Palace?” Han Yuanzhi asked.

Xiao Bai shook his head at her. ”The situation in the palace has been too calm in the past few days, but I heard Wushuang tell Huan Ya that Huangfu Shou summoned her to return to the Huangfu Kingdom.”

”Did Wushuang tell Huan Ya about Huangfu Shouʼs reasons?”

”No.” Xiao Bai shook his head before asking back. ”Was it Zhang Fei who helped you become this young? I could sense a manʼs Yang Qi in your body, so I thought it was his.”

”You are right. I have indeed given myself to Zhang Fei, but our relationship is only limited to mutual benefits.” Han Yuanzhi suddenly remembered something. ”Xiao Bai, I want you to check the royal palaceʼs underground, but you must not get too close to that sealed door, especially since I have a bad feeling about it. If my guess is correct, it is related to a demon, and it may be powerful.”

”How could a demon infiltrate the royal palace? Could Huangfu Shou have placed the demon there?” Xiao Bai asked in confusion.

”Youʼre wrong about that.” Han Yuanzhi paused for a few moments. ”According to my late fatherʼs story, the sealed door existed long before the Bai Kingdom was founded. However, he did not know the exact story of the door, and he told me that the first Bai Emperor deliberately built his kingdom there to prevent it from opening. When Bai Yaowei and my father attempted to examine the door, they sensed an evil aura emanating from behind it. For years, I kept thinking about Huangfu Shouʼs reasons for controlling the royal family, and I thought his actions had something to do with it. If my guess is right, we cannot let that door be opened, or this kingdom will be destroyed.”

”All right, Iʼll check that place now.”

After Xiao Bai left, Han Yuanzhi immediately sent a voice transmission to Zhang Fei. ”Heʼs a demon, so he might be able to check that sealed door.”

After Han Yuanzhi contacted his real body, Zhang Xiaolong [3] rushed to the Bai siblingsʼ residence to meet Linghu Yincheng.

”Are you Zhang Fei?” Linghu Yincheng inquired as soon as he arrived.

”Yes.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] nodded at her. ”I came here to ask you one thing.”

”Oh?” Linghu Yincheng was taken aback for a moment. ”First, I would like to thank you for your help to me and my three children. What do you want to ask me?”

”Do you know anything about the sealed door in the royal palaceʼs dungeon?” Linghu Yinchengʼs change in expression convinced Zhang Xiaolong [3] that she knew something about it. ”Is a demon really sealed in the room behind that door? Actually, Iʼve checked that place before, but I was blocked by the formation that covers the door.”

Linghu Yincheng thought for a moment before touching Zhang Xiaolong [3]ʼs forehead and sharing some of her memories about the sealed door, which shocked him. ”Honestly, I promised my grandfather-in-law not to tell anyone about it, and my husband didnʼt know anything about it either. However, youʼve helped us a lot, so I decided to share the information with you. I donʼt know how deep your power and the people around you are, but I hope you wonʼt do anything to that door for now.”

”I didnʼt expect that your kingdom was concealing such a terrifying entity, and I believe Huangfu Shou was already aware of it, which is why he chose to exert control over you and your husband.” Linghu Yincheng gave Zhang Xiaolong [3] a slight nod, as she had already considered that possibility. ”In that case, I will leave now.”

”Wait a minute.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] raised an eyebrow at Linghu Yincheng. ”Can you take my daughter with you?”

”No.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] unhesitatingly rejected Linghu Yinchengʼs request. ”I know Bai Shouyi likes me, but I have no interest in her, so you can forget about your idea.”

”Why is that?”

”Your daughter is no different from her cousin, Bai Tianʼer.” Linghu Yincheng was surprised to hear the name from Zhang Xiaolong [3]ʼs mouth. ”The two of them donʼt really like me, and they only want to be close to me because I can help them fulfill their ambitions. I donʼt want to be taken advantage of by anyone, and Iʼm helping you all because of Xian Xianqinʼs request. Furthermore, I have dozens of women by my side, and Iʼm sure that a princess such as your daughter wonʼt be able to accept my relationship.”

”I see.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] did not stay any longer in the residence and returned to his residence straight away. Linghu Yincheng then looked back at Bai Shouyi, who was eavesdropping from there. ”Youʼve heard everything, right?”

”Yes.” Bai Shouyi immediately went to her mother. ”How could he think that way about me, Mother? I didnʼt even think about using him, and I really like him.”

”I donʼt know.” Linghu Yincheng then embraced her daughter. ”Zhang Fei has indeed helped us a lot, but in my opinion, you should forget about him. I donʼt know much about him, but youʼve heard that he has dozens of women by his side, and Iʼm not sure that heʼll be able to be fair to them.”

”No.” Bai Shouyi shook her head firmly at her mother. ”I wonʼt give up on my feelings, and I will prove to Zhang Fei that I like him without any particular intention.”

Linghu Yincheng stared at Bai Shouyi for a while before nodding to her. ”All right, you can do that. However, you must know when to back down, and you must not be disappointed if he still refuses to accept you.”

”I know.”

*Tap... Tap...*

Zhang Fei [5], still cultivating the lightning pond, opened his eyes when he heard footsteps. He then turned to the young man walking towards him. Based on the systemʼs scan, he learned that his name was Guo Jizhe, one of the main members of the clan.

”Does my presence bother you, Brother?” Guo Jizhe asked in a flat tone. ”My name is Guo Jizhe, and I am Aunt Xuehuaʼs nephew. I just returned from a long journey, and I heard that you have been training here for over a week. I also heard that you have a special relationship with Cousin Xinyue, so I came straight to see you.”

ʼAnother troublemaker.ʼ Zhang Fei [5] muttered inwardly because Guo Jizheʼs name was red on his map, indicating that he was hostile towards him, which was because of his relationship with Yun Xinyue. ”Brother Jizhe, you are a member of the Guo Clan, so I dare not say that your presence bothers me. As for my relationship with Princess Xinyue, our relationship is still just friends now, but we also like each other, and we are exploring our relationship further.”

”I see.” Guo Jizhe then entered the lightning pond and sat opposite Zhang Fei [5]. ”Cousin Xinyue is a lovely girl, and everyone in the clan likes her very much. However, I didnʼt expect that she would fall in love with you, especially since you are still so young.”

”Haha.” Zhang Fei [5] laughed at that. ”Brother, love knows no age, and an older woman like Princess Xinyue ages like a fine wine, so I like her very much.”

Guo Jizhe gave a light nod. ”How about we train inside the lightning source?”

”Sure!” Zhang Fei [5] immediately flew to the source of the lightning.

Guo Jizhe was momentarily taken aback by Zhang Fei [5]ʼs action, and he promptly followed him. ʼApparently, this brat is no ordinary cultivator, especially since he does not have the lightning element. Letʼs see how long he can last here.ʼ
