Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 672: Kong Zhi

”What are you doing here, Old Kong Zhi?”

”Hehehe.” Kong Zhi laughed mockingly in response. ”You wanted to do something festive, but you didnʼt invite me to join you, so I came here by myself. Furthermore, I have a deeper understanding of Ximen Gongfu and Zheng Moyue than you do, and you underestimated them too much if you want to take over their kingdom with such a small group.”

Although Zhou Xiaochuan was confident in his abilities, he did not dare underestimate Kong Zhi. Instead, he was deeply afraid of Kong Zhi and constantly worried that he might rebel against him in the future. ”What do you mean by that?”

”Do you think they could have established their kingdom without support?” Zhou Xiaochuan frowned at Kong Zhi. ”Ximen Changtian has Ximen Gui by his side, and he is the strongest demon at the moment. That old demon should have been able to force Ximen Gongfu to reunite the two demon kingdoms, but he never tried to do it, right?”

Zhou Xiaochuan immediately realized the strangeness of the situation, particularly considering his familiarity with Ximen Guiʼs strength. The old demon had lived much longer than him, and he had existed since his grandfatherʼs era. ”Is it because of the Zheng Clan?”

Kong Zhi nodded to Zhou Xiaochuan. ”I donʼt know the exact depth of the Zheng Clanʼs power, but I know they are far stronger than they appear from the outside, rendering even an old demon like Ximen Gui to act. Ximen Gongfu may be the emperor of the Dark Demon Kingdom, but I can tell you that Zheng Moyue is the true ruler of the kingdom. Her husband serves as a mere puppet for her and her clan, and he never dares to defy her wishes, including her desire to have fun with Xian Hong. In fact, the three of them often do it together.”

”How did you know that?” Zhou Xiaochuan asked with a suspicious look.

”Do you think I will tell all my secrets to my rival?” Kong Zhi simply smiled. ”Even if we join forces, we may not necessarily be able to defeat the Zheng Clan, and we will die at their hands. I donʼt know why you suddenly want to take over their kingdom, but I think you should cancel your intention and return.”

Zhou Xiaochuanʼs expression became solemn. ”Do you think the two of us can defeat Ximen Gui by combining our strengths?”

”Hmm?” Kong Zhi considered several options. ”We can defeat Ximen Gui if we join forces, but we need someone to support us.”

”Who?”

”Zhou Shenxin.” Kong Zhi looked back. ”However, I canʼt find her in your kingdom, and she did not reply to my messages.”

”I sent Zhou Shenxin and Zhou Hanling to the Xian Kingdom to capture someone important.” Kong Zhi was surprised by Zhou Xiaochuanʼs answer. ”His name is Zhang Fei, and he is Xian Xianqinʼs lover. I suspect he came from another realm, and he managed to lead a group from the Xian Imperial Sect to pass the first floor of the Star Tower with his cultivation at the 2-Star Earth Realm. He even managed to compete with Zhou Tong to light the 10 crystals on the stone obelisk.”

”Huh?” Kong Zhi looked shocked. ”Are you serious?”

Zhou Xiaochuan directly touched Kong Zhiʼs forehead, sharing the memories he had gotten from Zhou Tong with him. ”You can see the results for yourself.”

Kong Zhi closed his eyes for a moment before opening them again. ”That kid is indeed no ordinary kid, and Iʼve never heard of the Zhang Clan in this realm, so Iʼm sure he did come from another realm. Since you sent Zhou Shenxin to him, Iʼm sure she can control him with my soul technique. However, you better order her to delay it and meet us on the demon island, or we wonʼt be able to defeat Ximen Gui with just the two of us.”

Zhou Xiaochuan concurred and contacted Zhou Shenxin, but she did not respond immediately. He then contacted Zhou Hanling and ordered him to take his daughter away from the Xian Kingdom, to which he agreed only in words. ”Iʼve contacted them, and they will meet us there.”

”Thatʼs good!” Kong Zhi replied with a satisfied nod. ”This way, our chances of defeating Ximen Gui are wide open, and we can use him to fight the Zheng Clan. Anyway, you can ask Zhou Fanzhi to follow us, especially since we need more people to face that clan.”

Zhou Xiaochuan unhesitatingly followed Kong Zhiʼs wishes and contacted Zhou Fanzhi, ordering him to follow them. ”He is still outside the sect, and he will meet us there in 5 days.”

”Thatʼs fine.”

Zhang Fei let the tailor measure his body while listening to Zhou Shenxin explain her fatherʼs message. ”Does that mean your father will shift his target to the Ximen Demon Kingdom first?”

”Yes.” Zhou Shenxin nodded. ”I didnʼt expect that my master would join my father, and Iʼm sure he had the idea to ask me to join them, especially since my father wonʼt change his mind so easily once he decides something.”

Zhang Fei agreed with that. ”Did your father tell you the reason?”

”No.” Zhou Shenxin thought for a while, trying to recall some details. ”I donʼt know their exact reasons, but I think it might have something to do with the Zheng Clan.”

”The Zheng Clan?”

”Zhang Fei, you may not know, but the Zheng Clanʼs influence is extremely large, and they were the ones who supported Ximen Gongfu in establishing his kingdom.” Zhang Fei turned to Shi Qingzhuang directly. ”In fact, Zheng Moyueʼs authority is greater than that of her husband, and he is always obedient to her wishes.”

Zhang Fei contemplated a few things before reaching some conclusions. He then immediately contacted Ximen Yan to ask about the Zheng Clan. Unfortunately, the Ximen Prince did not know much about the clan because they had always acted secretively, including toward his father. ”Letʼs talk after this.”

A while later, the tailor had finished measuring Zhang Feiʼs body size. He immediately brought them all back to the Xian royal palace, gathering them at the meeting place. He then went to Earth and took Zheng Mohei with him, surprising Xian Xianqin and the other young women.

Xian Feng, Shi Qingzhuang, and Xian Changyue had long known that Zheng Mohei had fallen into Zhang Feiʼs hands, so they werenʼt surprised by that.

”Tell us about your Zheng Clan.” Zheng Mohei promptly provided a detailed explanation to Zhang Fei and the others, but he was unaware of certain details that only Zheng Moyue was aware of. ”Who are the people behind your sister?”

Zheng Mohei immediately answered him. ”They are the three ancestors of our clan, Master. Zheng Qinghong, Zheng Gaoyun, and Zheng Shiqiang were not as strong as Ximen Gui when they fought separately, but they were stronger when they fought together, which is why he never dared to fight them head-on.”

”Hmm?” Zhang Fei frowned at that. ”Does that mean they have a combined technique?”

”Yes.” Zheng Mohei nodded. ”I donʼt know the exact name of their technique, but they can combine their powers and summon a powerful demon, which is no less powerful than Ximen Gui. Moreover, the demon has its own will, and its demon power is much stronger than all the demons I know.”

Zhang Fei once again left them and went to the Netherworld Realm, and he took Xin Yanluo to the Xian royal palace. However, her presence put strong pressure on Xian Feng and the others, especially since she was much stronger than them.

”Why did you bring me here?” Xin Yanluo asked in a rude tone, but she quickly suppressed her aura, relieving everyone in the room.

”Have you ever seen or met the three ancestors of the Zheng Clan before?”

”Hmm?” Xin Yanluo glanced at Zheng Mohei for a moment before shaking her head. ”If you are asking about the ancestors of this weak demon, I do not know about them. They are too weak to be of any concern to me.”

”Yanluo, I canʼt send anyone else to the demon island, and I need Zheng Mohei to protect my home realm. Therefore, I hope you are willing to help me deal with the three ancestors of the Zheng Clan.” Xin Yanluo wanted to reject Zhang Feiʼs request, but he had already helped Ju Yingzhi, so she immediately agreed to his request. ”You donʼt need to attack them directly, and you only need to move if they suddenly come out of hiding.”

”All right.” Xin Yanluo immediately disappeared from their sight.

”Who exactly is that female demon?” Xian Feng inquired after Zhang Fei had sent Zheng Mohei back to earth.

”Her name is Xin Yanluo, and she is the demon behind Zhou Xiaochuan.” Zhou Shenxin was shocked to hear Zhang Feiʼs answer. ”She and her master, Ju Yingzhi, came from the upper realms. They forced your father to submit to them, and they were also the ones who helped him to establish relations with the two demon kingdoms.”

”So my father had a relationship with Ximen Changtian and Ximen Gongfu not because of his own will?”

”Not really.” Zhang Fei shook his head before explaining. ”Your father already had the idea to establish their relationship, and he wanted to get demon bloodlines to increase his strength, but he didnʼt have a solution to start it. However, the situation changed after Ju Yingzhi arrived in this realm, and she ordered Xin Yanluo to help him. Zhou Xiaochuan eventually managed to establish a relationship with them and obtained some demon bloodlines from them, but he did not share them with you or his other daughters; he only shared them with his sons.”

”Huh?” Zhou Shenxin was once again shocked. ”Do my father and all my half-brothers really have demon bloodlines in their bodies?”

Zhang Fei nodded at her. ”I suspected they had demon bloodlines the first time I met them, and fighting Zhou Fang confirmed my suspicion. If Zhou Tong didnʼt have a demon bloodline in his body, he wouldnʼt be able to compete with you.”

”I see.” Zhou Shenxin sighed heavily, but they could hear the disappointment in her voice.

Zhang Fei then spoke to Xian Feng. ”Zhou Xiaochuan is on his way to Demon Island, so we must send those people as soon as possible. We will gradually weaken the troops of the Zhou Kingdom before attacking them.”

”I will go see my brother now.” Xian Feng immediately left them and went to the Xian Imperial Palace.

They also left the meeting, and Shi Qingzhuang took her daughter and sister-in-law with her. Meanwhile, Zhang Fei took Yun Xinyue, Ling Long, and Zhou Shenxin to walk around Xian Capital, looking for things.

In the Zhou Kingdom, a middle-aged woman with long, wavy black hair sits alone under a peach tree. Her face is charming for her age, but her most attractive feature is her wide, clear eyes, which have bright black pupils. Behind her simple green dress, her figure still looks attractive and sexy.

*Tap... Tap...*

”Hmm?” The woman turned to the person walking towards her. ”Why did you come here, Zhou Hanling? Didnʼt my husband order you to follow my daughter?”

”My master sent me to you, Concubine Jiang Tingxi.”

”Oh?” Jiang Tingxi momentarily felt astonished. ”Who exactly is your master? What is his relationship with my daughter?”

”My master is Zhang Fei, and he is Princess Shenxinʼs future husband.” Zhou Hanling then took out two bottles before handing them to Jiang Tingxi. ”My master said that you can use the pills in the white bottle for yourself, and she wants you to use the pills in the brown bottle on the Empress and the other concubines.”

ʼDid Shenxin truly fall in love with that man? How could that happen? Why hadnʼt she told me about it?ʼ Jiang Tingxi then opened the white bottle and checked the six pills inside before checking the pills in the brown bottle. ”Did your master explain the effects of these pills? What does he want to do to the empress and the other concubines?”

Zhou Hanling shook his head. ”My master did not inform me, and he asked you to contact him through Princess Shenxin if you have any questions about them.”

”What are your masterʼs other orders?” Zhou Hanling promptly relayed several orders from Zhang Fei to Jiang Tingxi, which shocked her. ”All right, you can go now, or they will notice your presence and bring me trouble.”

”Yes.”

After Zhou Hanling left, Jiang Tingxi rushed into her room, sat cross-legged on the bed, and poured the pills from the white bottle into his palm.

”Five of these six are basic pills, but their grade is higher than my previous ones, so hopefully, they work better. However, I donʼt recognize the last pill, but itʼs definitely not a poison.” Jiang Tingxi refrained from swallowing the pills immediately and instead contacted her daughter. However, Zhou Shenxin did not provide a detailed explanation, simply asking her to swallow them. She also informed her that she and Zhang Fei would see her soon. ”Why is Shenxin being so secretive with me? Sigh! I wonder what kind of man Zhang Fei is and how he could conquer my daughter so quickly, but I can only wait for them to come to me.”

After that, Jiang Tingxi immediately swallowed the six pills, one by one, and was surprised by their effects, especially the last pill.

In the Azure Sky Realm, Bai Shouyi approached her mother, who was daydreaming alone in the front yard. ”Why are you here and not resting, Mother?”

”Sit me, Shouyi.” Bai Shouyi sat beside Linghu Yincheng, who immediately embraced her. ”Can you contact Zhang Fei? I want to return to our realm to save your father, but I canʼt leave this realm because I donʼt have my storage ring.”

Bai Shouyi let out a sigh. ”Unfortunately, I donʼt have an interspatial communication device, so I canʼt contact Zhang Fei. Moreover, he already told us that my fatherʼs situation is not good, and you will fall into Huangfu Shouʼs hands again if you go there now. My brothers and I also want to save him, but we donʼt have the ability to do so yet, so we continue to focus on increasing our strength in this realm. Anyway, I forgot to tell you that I met my grandfatherʼs soul imprint when I was trapped in the illusion, and he was the one who freed me.”

”Huh?” Linghu Yincheng was shocked by that. ”Does that mean your grandfather is still alive now? Did he tell you which realm they live in?”

”My grandfather is still alive now, and he lives in the upper realms with the others.” Bai Shouyi then paused for a moment as she smiled in amusement. ”He told me that he and the others joined a sect, and they are still ordinary sect disciples, so they canʼt return to our realm yet. If only they could return, our family would never have fallen into such disarray as now, and they would definitely be able to defeat Huangfu Shou to turn the situation around.”

”Although they canʼt return yet, at least they are still alive, so I can feel relieved.” Linghu Yincheng then asked her daughter. ”Do you like Zhang Fei?”

Bai Shouyi sighed heavily upon hearing her motherʼs question. ”Honestly, I like Zhang Fei, but he doesnʼt like me, and he has always been indifferent to me. He is willing to help us because of Xian Xianqinʼs request.”

”I see.” Linghu Yincheng gave a slight nod. ”Based on the stories of the three of you and Zhang Feiʼs ability to save me and bring us here, he should not be an ordinary cultivator. If you really like him, you should not give up too quickly, and you can try talking to him the next time he comes here.”

”How can I talk to him, Mother?” Bai Shouyi inquired, her face displaying a bittersweet smile. ”Zhang Fei comes and goes like a ghost, and he never greets me either. I like him, but I think itʼs best to give up, or my feelings will only make me suffer.”

Linghu Yincheng did not say anything in response to her daughter, but she was still a mother, and she could not bear to let her suffer. ʼI have to talk to Zhang Fei when he comes to this realm again.ʼ
